Love is one game he may not knock out of the park…As a respected sports agent, Brick Swift’s athletes are the sole recipients of his attention. This means that they also keep every chance for real love at a distance.January Jordan is at the top of her game, recently negotiating the year’s biggest contract for her Memphis Mavericks client. Free as a bird, funny, and financially stable, she’s not … financially stable, she’s not looking for a man to fulfill an already satisfying life.
A chance meeting ignites a flash fire between them that burns to ashes every excuse why they shouldn’t be together. Their love would be a home run; if only they can get past Brick’s real heartbreaks and close the deal of a lifetime.

While this is part of The Swift Series, each can be read as a standalone. Each is about a Swift sibling but for the best reader experience read then in order.

Another great Cards of Love book.
This one is Brick and January–spectacular names and an even better story.
Brick and January are Sports Agents and both very good at their jobs. They started out as friends and it quickly became more as when there is an attraction there is no stopping that.
They are just what each other needs and things fall into place when it is supposed to.
A first Leslie Pike read for me and I will be seeking out more soon.
I loved this short novella by Leslie Pike.
It was impeccably written with lovely characters and high octane romance.
The secondary characters – a.k.a. the Swifts – I got to know and love in The Curve made a few entertaining appearances here as well.
Both Brick and January were lovely characters. I loved January’s connection to her sister. I liked the fondness she thought about her late parents and the family time they had together back then.
Despite Brick being closed-off he just couldn’t help himself but open up to January and it was great to read all about it.
I can only recommend this well written entertaining read.
What a wonderful, light hearted, feel good, romantic easy read. Leslie Pike has created an older couple who have already lived life, had hardships, and still delight in finding the good things. They will show you the true, romantic, heartfelt meaning of love and family. This one just left me with that full sigh of contentment.
Well this was just sweet and quite lovely. Nothing about the story screams wow, but it was a nice read. Do I wish it was a bit sexier on the page? Oh yeah! I think January and Brick would have made for some seriously hot sexy scenes. But no matter, it was still a very sweet and emotional story.
