This book gave me some great insights into the life and times of the Old Testament. I couldn’t put the book down! It was action packed.
This series gave me an insider look into the lives of the people in the Bible. I could get a better understanding of the choices they made. It made the Bible come alive!! I wish there were more series like this one. Loved it!!
One of my favorite historical fiction series of all time. I re-read this series at least once a year. Lynn Austin does not disappoint! She has a knack for research & adding incredible multi-faceted characters to authentic historical timelines and events. I highly recommend this book series to anyone questioning the validity of ancient 8th century value to modern life.

This series of books take books of the Bible and give them life. It helped me understand and remember the facts that happened in Chronicles..They are so well researched and are Parellel to the Bible. I just loved the whole series. Lynn Austin is amazing. She is one of my absolute favorite authors.
The author builds a true view of the Kings of Israel and how their obedience or rebellion to God’s laws shapes the lives of their kingdoms.
The timing of this offering couldn’t have been better. I had signed up for a Bible history class at church and soon after the beginning of the weekly sessions, this collection of books was offered. It really gave more insight and inspiration to the whole experience.
This series was so good! It helped me to understand a few things about the Biblical culture of the day and helped put things in the Bible in “chronilogical” order for me. It, of course, is a work of fiction, but based on the Bible. It was a “page-turner” and I would highly recommend!
Brought the kings of the to life
I loved this series. It is historically accurate and the prophesies quoted directly the Bible and the fictional stories intertwined were very memorable. It inspired me to go to the scriptures and read the passages used to tell the story. Will definitely read this author again.

The Author made history come to life. Best books I have read in a long time. I could not put it down. Had to go for the next book as soon as I finished one.
These are great books for the Christian reader or for someone who wants to understand the Bible better. Lynn Austin is a talented writer who was able to bring life to the Old Testament to me. I couldn’t wait to read the next book and I learned so much! The characters are developed, the history of the Bible is accurate and helped me to connect with God.

This book was outstanding. I finished several days ago and am still thinking about the characters based on Kings in the Bible. The story was riveting. I highly recommend this book.
