more
Basically it’s a story about how magic-wielding folks fit into the larger society. The perspective is intriguing.
I really enjoyed reading these.
I loved these books and can”t wait to get my hands on book 7 and all remaining ones.
The first book of “Kerrigan” was quite interesting … the second began to drag a lot, although it did have some high points … by the end of the third book I said ‘ENOUGH ALREADY” … it really began to drag.
It seemed the author felt there was a need to ‘fill space’ so repetitious descriptions of apparel, brushing teeth, everyone’s tatus (and this is a very cut-down list) became boring.
What was an enjoyable experience in Book 1 became a boring, dragged out, repetitions in subsequent novels.
Maybe this should be turned over to a good rewrite editor who could take what is a promising plot with some interesting twists, eliminate half the pages, the tooth-brushing, =clothes-selection, and other redundancies and turn it into a very good quick read.
There is hope for these books, but not in the lengthy form they were presented.
Couldn’t stop reading
Made me think of how unfair growing up is and how as we grow up we see more and more of the big picture.
A fun read. It held my interest once I got past the first book and the Harry Potter looking glass. I contemplated buying the series for my 13 year old granddaughter–but passed. Too little substance. Just another adventure saga.
I found it to be quite fun and it had some good humor, and a very sweet romance.
This is a really awesome series can’t wait to get the rest of the books! It just gets better and better!
It kept me intrigued
Interesting characters, entertaining, and easy reading.
Interesting fantasy series.
Definitely a fun read. Kind of reminds me of Harry Potter in some ways.
Each book ends with a cliff hanger even the 6th one which means that the last six books need to be purchased individually to finish.
Like the originality
When I think I have the book figured out, it heads in a different direction! Love!
The story was well written but the pitch was a low rent come on. It appears you are selecting a six book series and then, at the end of book one, you have to purchase all the others. I’m o.k. When it is straightforward up front, but not disguised like this. Needless to say, I won’t continue the series.
This was an enjoyable read. The characters are fleshed out. I have purchased the next 6.
Harry Potter clone. Lots of teen angst. But it moves fast, so it has that going for it. Might be an author worth reading in a few years when she grows up.
good read
