An adventure tale
This is a very interesting story that is well told about three young people. One is green, one red and one from earth all seeking the Chronicler.
AURA COLORS.
This story is a bout a young boy who finds out that he has a green aura which is the last of an extinct race.
The story although seems impossible is made believable and it brings you into a fantastic detailed world where you will get lost in ,until you wake up a have to go to work.
The characters were amazing ,the book kept me on the edge right to the finish.
With no memory of life before the Academy, Ethan simply worked hard and truly hoped he would be seen as an honorable aura at the end of his training. He was shocked to find out his aura, and he set about finding his people. He was joined by two other travelers, and they quickly became a reliable team. Their secrets both caused and relieved trouble on their quest. They even found a survivor of an apparently extinct group. Their goals required that their group split, with help, but their journey is not over—next book, please!
Good coming of age story. Magic, friends, and love all while trying to find family. Fun read that I didn’t want to put down. Can’t wait to continue the story.
Very fast paced story, and very interesting mystery within the fantasy.
Interesting read!
Michaan and Guirguis pen an interesting story in The Green Boy: The Chronicles of Agartha. I haven’t read anything from these authors before, and I really enjoyed the story, very much. The characters were unique and had this distinct ability to make the reader root for them. The authors’ writing styles worked, and it was definitely a seamless collaboration. The story brings in the believable, even if almost impossible. It was definitely an enjoyable journey. The story is meant for YA, but this [more seasoned] reader enjoyed it. It’s a great story to follow and try to figure out what will happen next. I look forward to reading more by this author. This book is a definite recommendation by Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews.
I struggled with this book. There were many, many times where sentences would change the verb tense midway through which I found incredibly distracting. In addition, some awkward sentence structures which lead me to believe the authors’ first language was not English. Also inconsistencies in capitalization and some poor proofreading (i.e., calling Ethan by name when the group hasn’t introduced themselves and then two sentences or so later, asking them for their names).
The basic idea of the story, with a quest for understanding one’s origins, skills, and family is a good one. I liked that part very much. Overall plot was reasonably paced and mostly engaging.
Will I read another by these authors? Not unless their work has undergone more adequate proofreading. Am I interested to hear how Ethan and Mara’s stories end? Yes, very much. But I don’t think I can read it if the errors continue.
