I love sinking into the world of Eternity Springs. If you’re in the mood for a small town Christmas romance with a lot of heart and humor, Emily March does it right.
Emily March never writes a bad book, but this one was great! You’ve got a single mom trying to protect her son from an unknown someone who is stalking them and doing really bad things to them. Jenna and Reilly need to find a safe place and Eternity Springs seems to be the place.
Devin, a hunky Australian visiting his parents in Eternity Springs, really wants to catch the person destroying their lives. He came to care about both Jenna and Reilly through phone calls before ever meeting them in person, but now that he really knows them he can’t live with the thought of them running again. Jenna knows there can’t be more to their relationship than a short term fling, but that doesn’t keep her heart for asking for more.If only Devin convince Jenna that he and others in the small town can keep them safe, he just might be able to provide what they need. But what do the really need? Someone who’s running back to Australia, or a husband and a father?
The Christmas Wishing Tree is another great installment is the Eternity Springs series!
Enjoyed it
What I liked:
The writing style
The characters
Part of a series: Eternity Springs
Standalone
HEA
I look forward to reading the other books in this series.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC from NetGalley.
I really loved this book! I though it was a wonderful romance and I loved this Christmas theme. The suspense and drama give it that little edge that keeps you anxiously flipping the pages desperate to see what will happen next. My heart broke for Riley and the trauma he suffered at the hands of the stalker and his antics. But, my favorite aspect of the story was definitely the romance and “Santa” and the message of hope and believing.
I thought this was a beautiful story and this is absolutely on my list of books I want to read again and again.
**Thank you to the author, publisher, and Netgalley for an advance copy of The Wishing Tree. These are my unbiased thoughts and opinions.**
“Call me Santa Cupid.” It takes both Santa and Cupid to get these two together!
Jenna and Devin’s love story was sweet and heartwarming, and chock-full of breathtaking family moments that will soften any heart. Between her stalker and his job half-way around the world, it’s no small wonder it takes two years for these two to finally find their HEA.
Even so, there’s never a dull moment in this captivating book. I honestly couldn’t put it down until I finished. It was an amazing book, filled with joy and extended family and a community that just sparkles with love and peaceful healing.
The writing is exceptional, really getting to the heart of the struggles Jenna faced with her son and her feelings for Devin. I thought his character was especially well developed, giving us such deep insight into a man who doesn’t know what he wants until he nearly loses it. It’s a story that will make anyone believe in the magic of the season. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Welcome back to Eternity Springs. A place where strange and magical things happen. As Devon Murphy says, woo-woo. Devon has come home for the holidays. His family wants him there all the time but water has called him ad that is where he feels alive.
Jenna Stockton is a pediatric doctor raising her 5 year old son Reilly. This little boy will wrap his arms around your heart and won’t let go. For Christmas he told Santa what he wanted but he forgot one thing. So when an Angel gave him the number to call Santa directly. he calls without his mom’s permission. As they say, “It’s the start of a beautiful friendship between Santa and Reilly’s mom. Till it all collapses. Not once but twice. Now they are seeking shelter from the storm. No better place than Eternity Springs, where a little boy discovers the magic of Christmas again and Mom gets her HEA.
The Christmas Wishing Tree by Emily March is book 15 in the Eternity Springs series. This is the story of Devin Murphy and Jenna Stockton. I have read the previous book but feel this can be a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Jenna picks to live in Eternity Springs to keep her adopted son Reilly safe and herself. Devin is returning home in Eternity Springs where he ends up meeting Reilly and Jenna. Both pull at his heart strings and they feel the same with him. But there are some bumps in the road before they get their happy ending.
This was such a moving story! Loved it.
I just loved my visit to Eternity Springs, just like all of my previous visits!! This story will make you believe in the magic of Christmas. Riley makes a phone call to Santa, asking for his only wish a dad. Santa turns out to be Devin in Eternity Springs, who is there visiting his family. Many calls in sue between the two, until Riley’s mom, Jenna intervenes. Now Jenna and Riley’s lives are in jeopardy, and she decides to move to Eternity Springs, not knowing that Santa is from there.
With the magic of Christmas, family and friends of Eternity Springs makes for the perfect holiday read for this season. Oh, did I say babies and puppies too. A light suspense is also in the story line. I highly recommend this book!!
Heart warming tale…perfect for the cold weather! This story will make you believe in the spirit of love and hope for the Christmas Season.
The Charters are unforgettable. They will make you laugh and cry. If you love a Christmas story you MUST pick this novel! This story will lift your spirit and have you believing in miracles!
The Christmas Wishing Tree gets a FINE FOUR SHOOTING STARS!
Wow, this was an amazing story. This is Jenna her son Riley and Devin’s story. Riley made a wish to Santa Claus, or so he thought. What started out as Riley thinking that Devin was Santa Claus and then Jenna talking to Devin turned into the beginning of something beautiful. When Jenna and Riley went on the run from a stalker, it was Devin and his family who came to their rescue. This is an amazing story with wonderful characters and and a suspenseful storyline. I absolutely loved this book and I would love to read stories about the other endearing characters.
I didn’t realize this was #15 in a series! I’ve read a few of the previous books because characters started sounding familiar. That said, this book can definitely be read as a stand alone but if you think you want to read this series, then start at the beginning because a series is always best started with the first book so you can watch the personal lives grow.
This installment focuses on Jenna and Devin. They meet totally by chance but had spoken on the phone without knowing it when they met. Jenna’s son Reilly called Northpole One to reach Santa to add a Dad to his Christmas list. It was a fluke that a burner phone that Devin had was that number. I have to admire Devin for playing along and not crushing a young boy’s belief in Santa. He tried to reach Jenna to let her know her son was calling him, but Jenna would not answer. She had her own issues with a stalker and thought it was that person. Thankfully she finally answered and they got that squared away. I think it was at that moment that Devin fell in love with someone he didn’t even know.
Jenna ends up in Eternity Springs because it is touted as a place to heal broken hearts. Plus she feels safe there when the stalker forces her to go off the grid to escape him/her. She just didn’t realize that she would find her new home and potentially family there. Turns out it was a great decision for her. Plus since Jenna is a OB/GYN she was able to help all the women that seemed to have gotten pregnant during a blizzard in March. One of my favorite lines near the end – “After that, it was like dominoes. All six women…every last one of them…went into labor.”
Another favorite line between Jenna and Devin – Jenna “Who starts a fight at a cakewalk? You smashed Maggie’s cake!” Devin – “That was unfortunate. But since I as the winner, the only person I hurt was myself.” (there was more but I just highlighted my favorite parts)
There are some tense moments for Jenna when the stalker initiates some pranks and (apparently) what they call swatting (prank calls to emergency numbers). I will say that the whole situation with this stalker fell a little flat. I realize it wasn’t the main focus of the book, but once they discovered who it was it just ended and there wasn’t any more mention of this person or what happened to them or if Jenna would need to testify against this person.
Overall this is a very enjoyable book and I can just imagine that one of the upcoming books will be about Boone. This book just hints that there is more to him than meets the eye.
A sweet, romantic novel about a mother’s love that will do whatever it takes to protect her child.
With action and danger, situations so tense I could not stop reading until things got better, and characters I quickly became attached to, I was never prepared for the next shoe to drop.
A romance we all wanted to see succeed, but realistic enough to allow life to make it difficult.
Jenna Stockton and her young son head to the town of Eternity Springs with the hope of a fresh start and to escape the danger that has lurking around them. For the last few months Jenna has been receiving mysterious texts and phone calls, and when she turns to the police they tell her that they think it is just some young teens pulling pranks, but then things start to take a eerie turn and she begins to feel like it is a case of stalking, so they pack up their belongings and get out of town.
Once they arrive in Eternity Springs they find the restart they are looking for, and also happen to meet a handsome man named Devin (aka Santa) who brings some much needed joy to both of their lives… and also a plan to finally rid them of their past they are trying to outrun. Joining together to carry out the plan brings them all the piece of mind they have been searching for, and a whole lot more… Santa delivers on all fronts, wishes are granted and a happily ever after is found waiting for them under the Wishing tree!
Between the pages of The Christmas Wishing Tree readers will find a beautifully crafted holiday tale brimming with hope, happiness, and loads of heart! This delightful story is sure to inspire some true Christmas spirit; with it’s secret/accidental Santa armed with a plan to save the day, the magic of the wishing tree; the vivid description of decorated store fronts and homes; and of course the welcoming townsfolk who make you feel as though you have been part of the community all along. This was such an enjoyable read that had a good blend of everything I look for in my reads, and of course some sweet little extras to top things off; it was engaging and heartwarming, and SO good for the soul! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from NetGalley, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion
Eternity Springs, Colorado, is a special place where hearts go to heal and wishes come true. Celeste Blessing, the Gold Wing riding angelic resident, seems to always know what the souls in her town need, including Devin Murphy when he’s visiting his family there at Christmastime. When Devin’s cell phone gets damaged and Celeste gives him a loaner, along with some words of wisdom, he doesn’t think much of it. But a phone call from a five-year-old boy looking for Santa and wishing for a daddy, as well as the conversations that follow as Devin stands in for Santa, plot a course for Devin’s life he never could have expected. Fate has a way of giving Celeste a helping hand, and it shouldn’t be any surprise when, months later, Devin stops to help a little boy and his mom with tangled fishing lines and they turn out to be his phone buddy, Riley, and Riley’s mom, who’ve run from danger to Eternity Springs.
We first met Devin as a teenager with a bit of an attitude, so following his journey to happily ever after was all the more special. I always enjoy it when a hero is anti relationship or marriage and love sneaks in and changes his plan, and Jenna and Riley wreak havoc on Devin’s commitment to his bachelor lifestyle. It took some time for the stars to align for Devin and Jenna, but sometimes people need repeated messages from destiny, with their paths crossing several times, before they’re ready to accept their once-in-a-lifetime love. March does a beautiful job of introducing the hero and heroine and then returning them to their separate lives, building the reader’s expectation and anticipation without a lot of angst or frustration. Instead, the reader is able to relax and enjoy the ride, confident that the twists and turns of journey will eventually bring them together.
Jenna and her son Riley have trouble on their heels and the people of Eternity Springs open their arms to them both. I immediately connected with this strong and intelligent doctor who is a single mother by choice, having adopted Riley at a young age. Nothing is more important to her than her son and his safety. Since the Santa conversations with Riley, this boy and his mom have become special to Devin, and he’ll do everything in his power to keep them safe. And when members of the community jump in to help, the bad guy doesn’t stand a chance.
This is one series that I’ve read every book in and eagerly anticipate the next release so I was thrilled to get an early copy of this book. If you’ve never visited Eternity Springs and gotten to know its citizens, you’re truly missing out on one of the best experiences the fictional world has to offer. Every time I’m immersed in one of these books it’s like coming home, and I’m delighted to catch up with these wonderful characters. March has a way of bringing the setting to life, engaging all senses fully, and the perception is more life-like than any virtual reality experience. No one does warm, welcoming, quaint small town quite like March, and I’m hoping she’s immortal so this series can go on forever.
I’d be hard pressed to choose a favorite element in this book. From the realistic small town and supporting characters, to Devin, Jenna and Riley who owned my heart in all of two seconds, and their story which pretty much reads itself, everything about this book is phenomenal. If I had any critique it might be to ask March to curtail the tear jerking a bit, only because it’s hard to read through watery eyes. However, she more than makes up for it with delightful, hilarious kids and critters that steal a few scenes, and a beautiful, deeply emotional love story that steals the show and will absolutely steal your heart.
I would love to live in Eternity Springs. It is so good to catch up with the residents of Eternity Springs. I am glad to get Devin’s story. Devin is fun-loving and doesn’t want to be tied down. He doesn’t seem to want to live in one place for very long. He loves Colorado, but he also loves Australia. On a trip home to Colorado for Christmas, Devin is helping put up some decorations when his phone gets dropped into the water. He is given a burner phone to use while his dries out. Devin answers the phone and it is a little boy in Tennessee who wants to talk to Santa. He plays along and they develop a relationship. He knows he needs to tell the boy’s mother that the boy is asking for a dad for Christmas.
Jenna is a doctor and works a lot of hours and her son thinks that if he had a dad, they could hang out while she had to work. Jenna and her son are dealing with a stalker and have to leave their life behind. They end up in Eternity Springs where broken hearts are able to heal. Will they be able to heal after the trauma they experienced? Devin finds out Jenna’s secrets and the whole town bands together to help. Jenna is falling for Devin, but will he stay in Colorado?
Everyone longs to live in the charming town Eternity Springs, a place where “broken hearts go to heal” according to one of its main characters, Celeste Blessing. The Christmas Wishing Tree by Emily March is the sixteenth in the Eternity Springs series and, like the previous books in the series, introduces characters that you want to get to know better and scenes you want to visit. The Christmas Wishing Tree interweaves romance, mystery, humor, with good story telling. Eternity Springs is the perfect destination for an escape to a beautiful place with interesting and caring characters.
While The Christmas Wishing Tree is the most recent in the Eternity Springs series the reader can still enjoy it without having read the previous books. There is continuity, however, in many of the characters and it always feels good to know what’s been going on in the lives of some of the earlier characters. It’s like going home for a bit and catching up on your old neighborhood.
I liked Devon when he was introduced in one of the earlier books as a teenager, adopted by Cam, a fishing guide in Australia. Cam, born and raised in Eternity Springs, has a surprise when his old high school flame, Sarah, shows up in Australia with her teen-aged daughter (and, yes, his daughter, too.) That’s what takes Cam and Devon back to Eternity Springs and that’s a book review for another time —- but definitely another good read. Strangely wonderful things are always happening in Eternity Springs and the common link consistently is Celeste Blessing. As the book opens, Devon has moved back to Australia to take over the fishing guide business he and Cam left behind.
Devon becomes entangled with Jenna, an obstetrician living in Nashville, and her son, Riley, when six-year-old Riley makes a call to “Santa” that goes to Devon’s cell phone. Not wanting to disappoint the child, he plays along. Devon reaches out to Jenna to let her know about the calls and learns that Jenna is being stalked and the situation is becoming dangerous. Then through no fault of his own, he loses contact with Jenna and Riley. Because Riley and Jenna had heard “Santa” mention Eternity Springs, they end up there and, coincidentally, Devon is home from Australia at the same time. That’s just the way things happen in Eternity Springs. One coincidence leads to another and eventually many of the town’s prominent citizens are engaged in helping Jenna locate her stalker. Eternity Springs embraces its own and even if you’re just visiting for a short while, you become “one of them.”
While there is a lingering Christmas theme throughout the book, it does not focus solely on the Christmas season but takes the reader though a year in Eternity Springs. The Fourth of July is always a fun time. And I love their approach to the day after Thanksgiving; no Black Friday for Eternity Springs.
So grab The Christmas Wishing Tree, a cup of coffee and settle in for a lovely visit to Eternity Springs. I guarantee you’ll want to move there, too.
Favorite Quotes:
Her son could be a terrier when he got an idea in his head, and lately, every time she turned around, he’d been yipping and yapping about needing a daddy. How about I just order one online?

I choose to live my vision, not my circumstance.
Devin didn’t dream about finding The One. His MO was The Many. He liked having a harem, to use his father’s term.
If Cam dyes his hair and starts wearing turtlenecks, I’ll lose my mind.
My Review:
Although it is not primarily a holiday story as the events span more than a year, this was a sweet, light, and effortless read and a gentle way to ease into the season. The premise was original with several active and engaging storylines of light suspense and contemporary romance. I don’t recall many books were all of the primary and secondary characters were as considerate and likable as those inhabiting this unusually relaxed and accommodating small town. The writing was well-paced, easy to follow, and pleasantly amusing.
A Christmas story set n a small town where everyone knows what you do but look out and help each other. A wish for a boy, a mother trying to keep them safe end up making friends in the small town of Eternity Springs. What they go through and the adventure they go through to stay safe. Then Jenna and Devin making a wish come true for Reilly. A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start.
Every year there is that one holiday story that touches my heart and reminds me exactly what the season is all about. This year, for me, this is that book. It’s an amazing story of love, compassion, family, and friendship that you won’t soon forget.
There is nothing Jenna Stockton won’t do to protect her son Riley and keep him safe. Stumbling upon the small mountain town of Eternity Springs, CO will turn out to be the best thing to ever happen to them but it will take a little time for her to realize and accept it. This is their journey and it’s one you don’t want to miss!
A man who loves adventure and the open sea, Devin Murphy returns for a short Christmas trip to his small hometown of Eternity Springs. Immersed in the joy and magic of the holiday season all around him, he doesn’t hesitate to play along when a young boy, Reilly phones Santa to ask for a very special wish. Devin never guesses that a wrong number has the potential to make everything in his life so right.
Jenna Stockton adopted Reilly when he needed a mother and she intends to keep him safe. A small town across the country called Eternity Springs seems like a good place to hide from their past without any complications –until sexy Santa himself discovers her secrets.
It felt a little strange to be reading a Christmas story in late summer but this is a lovely story that has a bit of everything, stalking, mystery & of course romance. This is the fifteenth book in the series but could be read on it’s own. I’ve found that the more Eternity Springs books I read the more I become involved in the community & passed characters only add to the enjoyment of the book. The story flows well & the characters have plenty of depth
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
