This is a contemporary sweet romance story that is packed with emotion, mystery and romance. The heroine is being harassed by an unknown person and she and her young son are forced to move multiple times in an effort to hide from her unknown assailant. When her son calls “Santa” our hero of the story enters the picture. The odds of them meeting is impossible.
Normally sweet romance stories become boring to me about half-way through the book; however, this story was so well-written and had such great characters that it held my interest right up until the end. If you love sweet romance stories then I would recommend that you read this one. It was excellent!
This was quite a good story. At first I thought it was going to be more of a “cozy” mystery; but, it melded well with the story that actually takes place over a 2 year period. It is well written and kept me wanting to find out “what happens next”. It has interesting characters that are well developed. It is my first foray into Eternity Springs. I also liked that the story wasn’t only in the little town of Eternity Springs. There are references to Australia and also a small Caribbean island. The main character, Jenna Stockton, is an OB/GYN doctor with a 5 year-old son named Reilly. This is their story: a boy that wants a dad, a “magical” call to Santa, and a stalker that has Jenna and Reilly scared witless.
I received a free, advanced copy of this book from the publisher. This is my unbiased and voluntary review. It is not meant as a stand alone and will be confusing if read as such. Start at the begining and you won’t regret it.
This is Devin’s romance. It starts with Devin dreaming about a redhead out of sight, but waiting for him. The day gets stranger as Celeste accidentally (?) damages his phone an lends him a burner phone with the number NorthPOLE1 and giving him a Christmas message. Shortly thereafter he received a phone cal from a young boy, Reilly from Nashville, calling Santa, wishing for a Daddy. Reilly’s mother is a single mother, Dr. Jenna Stockton. As Reilly continues to call, eventually Devin is able to reach the mother and they find out a little bit about each other, but do not even exchange names. After New Years, Devin returns to Australia, while Jenna and Reilly are subjected to a stalker, who escalates from doxxing to swatting, until they are forced to go off the grid and eventually make their way to Eternity Springs, where ” broken hearts come to heal”.
Another beautiful story, with endearing characters, a riveting plot skillfully narrated.
A Sweet Christmas Story with wonderful characters. A Lovely town called Eternity Springs, brings Christmas magic, Santa and Love and forgiveness. I really enjoyed this Christmas Story!!
Another visit to Eternity Springs. Celeste Blessing, the town’s own angel on a Goldwing seems to know the needs of all the residents of Eternity Springs, whether they realize that they have those needs or not. When Devin returns to his home town his cellphone gets damaged at the hands of none other than Celeste Blessing. She gives him a replacement phone. Coincidentally (or maybe not) he receives a call from a small boy wanting to talk to Santa.
Reilly, Jenna’s adopted son, is excited to talk to Santa. The only thing Reilly wants for Christmas is a daddy. Reilly calls “Santa” several times and Devin develops a definite fondness for the little boy.
Jenna and Reilly are running from a stalker. Can Devin protect them without losing his heart?
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this wonderful holiday book. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good contemporary romance. Definitely 5 stars!
It’s not too early to get into the holiday spirit with this sweet book! Eternity Springs makes me smile. I would love to spend Christmas there! 🙂
I have read all the books that take place in eternity springs
With a story filled with the Christmas spirit, charming characters, a touch of suspense, and an adorable, ardent, purely awesome romance story, The Eternity Springs holiday novel wraps around the heart and mind of the reader, delivering feel-good smiles and wishing for the Christmas season to start.
The story has such a solid, wholesome vibe to it, all the characters are likable, the romance takes its time to develop over a years time, the adults take the kid’s needs into account, and respect him, setting boundaries for him, while building a life together that involves compromises while fulfilling life goals and dreams.
Some of the things that happen in the story raised my eyebrows, stretching my imagination, yet somehow it fits the environment the book creates.
Devin Murphy is a considerate, kind-hearted man, generous, and loving, the kind of man who will jump into a freezing water to save a neighbor’s life, or pretend to be a Santa to a kid who needs a miracle on Christmas Eve.
Jenna Stockton is a dedicated mom to her son Reilly. Her job creates challenges and takes her away from her time with Reilly, but he is her heart and focus, the reason why she works so hard. Reilly just won my heart over. He is smart a young man, who knows what he wants and cares for his mom something fierce.
The story flows effortlessly from the pages and the stalker who has been harassing Jenna gives a slight edge to the cheerful, romantic holiday tale.
An entertaining and adorable story that delivers smiles, grants Christmas wishes and brings forward the magical, mystical ambiance of the yuletide.
~ Four Spoons
Jenna and her adopted son, Reilly, need to go off the grid, thanks to a malicious stalker, and Eternity Springs just may be the ticket to healing both their broken hearts. After all, it’s where Reilly’s pseudo Santa Claus is from, and Jenna’s been thinking about him ever since Reilly dialed his number thinking he was reaching out to the North Pole.
Devin is a man who loves the sea. It’s where he makes his livelihood and where he feels the most at home. But, still, his family lives in Eternity Springs and he visits them as often as he can. When a young boy starts calling his new replacement phone, and thinks he’s talking to Santa, who is Devin to disabuse him of the notion? Even when the boy starts telling him he wants a daddy for Christmas, which is something Devin is pretty sure he’ll never be, nor something he can promise Reilly that Santa can give him.
The Christmas Wishing Tree is a charming, feelgood holiday-ish tale. It’s got all the good things the holidays are known for – love, healing, family time, and Santa, and it’s got the added bonus of an interesting concurrent suspense plot. Although it’s a clean (fade to black) romance, the meat of the relationship between Jenna and Devin is more than enough to make up for a lack of steam. Add in all the wonderful secondary characters, and what you’ve got in The Christmas Wishing Tree is a sweet, good old-fashioned holiday love story.

This is the 15th book in the Eternity Springs series by Emily March and its a well written Christmas story that puts you in the Christmas spirit! !

One evening he receives a call from a little boy asking if he is Santa and would he bring him his one wish, he wants a Dad? Little does Devon know that fate has opened the door to his heart.
Jenna Stockton is being stalked and when its taken to far and her son is hurt she moves but she takes her son to Eternity Springs hoping that being Christmas time and a new town will help her son get back to being the boy he was. Can Devon just up and walk away or will he fight all her demons and make them a family that they are meant to be??
The Christmas Wishing Tree is a sweet story with a reluctant romance and a bit of mystical tone. There’s a bit of mystery/suspense, holiday spirit, and healing. The town people of Eternity Springs are welcoming and generous. They really embraced Jenna and Reilly and it was the perfect place for them to heal. The story covers over a period of time and not just the Christmas season. It gives the relationship time to develop and grow. This is the first Emily March book I’ve read, so it can definitely be read as a standalone read. All the characters were wonderful and I will have to go back and read their stories from previous Eternity Springs books. The setting and characters come to life and I really enjoyed the story. Loved the ending – the phone call was perfect.
Typical of Ms. March, this story was a touching , cute and sweet. It’s a story about hope, overcoming obstacles, opposites attracting , family, small town life, and love.
At times heartbreaking , at others heartwarming the plot spans a few years in which we see the main characters, Devin Murphy, Jenna Stockton and her son Reilly grow and develop.
What started as a phone call to Santa, changes the lives of these three. It’s also a reminder that wishes can be granted when you believe in those wishes.
Lastly, the idea of a Wishing Tree is one we should all have in our towns.
If you are familiar with the series, some characters make a cameo appearance and of course, Celeste once again brings all things good to the story.
I was entrusted this copy by Netgalley and St Martin’s Press. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
“The Christmas Wishing Tree” by Emily March
A great story filled with “believing”. Yes, I had tears in my eyes upon occasion and I laughed and I chuckled…. I was not disappointed in this Eternity Springs adventure. I could not put the book down, although I wanted to… I wanted to delay reaching the end of the story.. but could not squelch the desire to read every word just as quickly as I could. If I could move to Eternity Springs and meet Celeste Blessing and the other residents I have met via Emily’s stories… I would be there in a heart-beat. I was gifted an ARC copy by the publisher via NetGalley. I guess that will have to be my blessing.. and visiting Eternity Springs via Emily’s stories is going to be as close as I will ever get to living there for real. Believe !!
The Christmas Wishing Tree is a fabulous contemporary romance from Emily March. Ms. March has given us a well-written book. I totally adore the characters in this story. Jenna is a doctor being targeted for nasty pranks. She moves her young son and herself to another state and the pranks start again. Devin is in Eternity Springs for Christmas with his family. Due to an unfortunate event, his phone is damaged and he takes a loner phone from a friend. Jenna’s son thinks he’s calling Santa, but it’s Devin that answers. Devin and Jenna’s story is loaded with drama, humor, sizzle and suspense. I enjoyed every page of this book and look forward to reading more from Emily March in the future. The Christmas Wishing Tree is part of the Eternity Springs Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
That was awesome! I love small town romance, they are always a joy to read. That final “Dear Santa” line was funny!
This is a voluntary review and I do not get paid for this review.
This is another wonderful visit to Eternity Springs. The story is about healing, the making of a family and finding & holding on to the love of a lifetime.
As always Emily March has written a terrific plot with deeply developed characters of various ages. The town and area are described so well, I want to visit and maybe move there permanently.
I love the idea of having a Christmas Wishing Tree and I might start that tradition for myself. Also I really love the theme throughout the story of living your vision and not your circumstance.
The story focuses on a mystery which is heartbreaking at times, but as readers of this series will know, that the end result will be to heal people and add to the growing residents of Eternity Springs, magical place where hearts come to heal.
I was so lucky to receive the Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book from a contest on Goodreads.com. I want to thank them and also the publisher #STMARTINSPRESS. I wrote this review strictly from my opinion of the book, not influenced by receiving the ARC.
