A fun read perfect for the holiday! The characters are down to earth, relatable and perfectly flawed and the storyline is fun, engaging, and entertaining. There is plenty of snarky banter, funny moments, heartfelt revelations, friendship and family, sneaky interference by a couple of meddling teens, celebrations, reflection, new relationships, sexy time, and lots of love.
Deacon and Nora have both been burned terribly in the past and it has hardened their hearts and made them seriously wary of the opposite sex or any kind of involvement, especially relationships. However, seeing the others close to them happy, in love, and celebrating new life and beginnings causes them both to do some self-reflection and open themselves up to the possibility of happiness and love. After a few mishaps and total honesty, they finally realize what they already knew all along. This was a great story with a wonderful, sweet HEA.
This book is the second in the Hope’s Turn Holiday series and it was great to see Deacon find his happy ending and to catch up with his brother, Mitch, and Becca and Simon from the first book.
*I received an arc of this book from the author and I am voluntarily providing my honest review.
