This is a beautiful sweet romance about following your dreams or getting your dreams back
Shepard Lake was star at the top of the musical world when he walked away there are plenty of rumours why but the truth is he has lost his muse and his love of music So he retreats to his Tennessee roots and helps with a singing competition in Sweet Tea. Time for a little music! Shepard- a burnout famous pop star hiding out in Sweet Tea, Tennessee. Tyler- lives for music, wants to write songs but lives under her famous sister’s shadow. Paired together they teach a group of children songs for a Christmas Carol sing off. Never imagining how well they would hit it off and just enjoy spending time together. Is Tyler the inspiration that Shepard needs to hear/feel the music again? Will Shepard be the one who finally brings Tyler out of her shell? A sweet enjoyable book that makes your heart sing. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC from Tule Publishing.
I expect to see this book real soon on Hallmark Channel. It is written so well that I not only see it, i can actually hear the Holiday songs in my memory that I lost when my hearing left me in the 80s. But I also can see the wonderful Tennessee landscape that I grew up traveling to see in my childhood. Nothing touches a reader more than memories as they read a book. Well that and finding a touch of their favorite fictional town inside one book that was very unexpected. See there are roughly 1,768 miles that separate Marietta, Montana and Sweet Tea Tennessee, these 2 places i speak of. Shepard Lake and Tyler Knight are two completely opposite people who fate brings together outside Sweet Tea. This book is a book that touches all the wonderful feel good places while at the same time it also reaches down and squeezed my heart, when I stopped and compared Shepard to some of the Boy Band members out in the world today. As you read this book, if you are like me for the second time, you will cast real life artists in each roll. Wonder if you will choose the same picks I did for Tyler, Shepard and Sutton?

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC from Tule Publishing.
I received this arc in exchange for an honest review. I really liked this book. I enjoyed reading this story about Tyler and Shepard and watching the growth of their characters and their relationship. We meet the main characters when they literally ran into each other in the mountain. Tyler is singing one of her songs and Shepard is awed by her. He had been thinking of going to see Sutter, a woman he knew years ago when he was first starting out. He wanted to try to get some help. He was a well known singer who walked out on his contract and vanished. In reality, he has lost his ability to see his music and has been absent to the world while volunteering, hiking and trying to find himself.
Tyler has lost her company and she has returned home to Sweet Tea, TN to help out her sister and brother in law at Christmas. She has a music background and secretly writes songs she never shares. Shepherd helps Tyler get home and they realize that his friend he’s looking for is her sister, Sutter. Sutter realizes Shepard is struggling and offers him their vacant cabin and music studio for the month. She also asks him to work together with Tyler as coaches for a team of school children in the town’s Christmas sing-off fundraiser contest. The two spend lots of time together, they learn about themselves and each other and become very close and feelings develop and grow stronger.
I enjoyed all the wonderful characters in this book. It was fun to read about the various games and activities the couple used to get their group together and practice their songs. I was sad hearing about the way Shepherd grew up, all the experiences he was denied. It was terrific the way Tyler and Sutter and their family brought Shepard in and included him in all their lives. I would highly recommend this book. I really enjoy books by Sinclair Jayne.
The Christmas Sing Off is book two of the Smoky Mountain Knights by Sinclair Jayne. It is about two characters who need their dreams revived in a Christmas Romantic story. Sweet Tea, Tennessee’s Christmas Carol Sing Off serves as the catalyst for Tyler and Shepard meeting and romance.
This is a fun story with some emotional turmoil and growth for the two main characters. The Sing-Off is a wonderful and interesting with likable characters. A sweet Christmas story that blends the romance with the music instead of celebrity status.
An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
A very good storyline surrounding music and how 1 man turned his back on fame, fortune and least of all family.Shepard was starting to get writers block and headed for Tennessee to clear his head then met Tyler Knight will she be the one who brings him back to his old self and start writing music again you will have to read and find out.
This is book two of the Smoky Mountain Knights Series, I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Honestly this book made my heart sing. I loved if from the first few pages. I was rooting for Shepard and Tyler right from the start, and it was glorious watching their relationship bloom on the mountain side.
I loved this book! The characters were wonderful, the quality of their personal integrity and character, and the devotion among them. We need books like this to dispel the terrible image of step-mothers!
A really good book that I think you will enjoy, I know that I did. It’s a story about Shepard Lake whose mother wasn’t but a teen when she had him, he loved to sing and could sing well so she put him out on street corners to make a living for them. As he grew up and into a successful star she was still taking all his money and having him support her. When he finally took off to find himself, he ended up hiking the mountains looking for the one person who helped him when he needed help the most.
As he is looking for her, another woman runs into him on the trail. This book has alot of emotional feels that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Really loved the book and I think you will too.
The Christmas Sing Off by Sinclair Jayne is book number two of the Smoky Mountain Knights series.
A heartfelt story of two people who are struggling with finding themselves. Shepard and Tyler are perfect for each. Between their volunteer work and their friendship they discover true peace, happiness, and love.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Sometimes finding home is as simple as opening up your heart and listening to it and following it.
This is a sweet read. The plot line is actually not a new one but the approach to it is really really novel. It makes you realize that everyone has the same issues and that no matter how great someone’s life seems to be from the outside, they still have the same insecurities and need to find someone who loves them for just them.
Shepherd Lake is trying to find himself after walking away from his career as chart topping pop singer. He has finally settled on hiking the AT (Appalachian Trail) and he is near Gatlinburg where he is thinking of taking a break and trying to find an old friend.
Tyler Knight is a songwriter but lacks the self confidence to actually let anyone see her songs. So when she runs into Shepherd on her daily run on the AT, things seem to start moving for both of them.
The miracles of Christmas involve believing and Tyler and Shepherd both take a leap of faith and face their fears and find love.
I did receive a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for a fair and unbiased review.

This is Tyler Knight and Shepard Lake’s story.
She ran straight toward him, and just as he registered that she wore earbuds and was astonishingly beautiful in a young and natural way, she looked up. Clear, Carolina-blue eyes met his and flared with alarm.
She shrieked, stumbled, and lost her balance. Even as he reached out to try to steady her on this narrow and rocky part of the path, she slipped through his fingers like a breath and tumbled head over heels down the brushy side of the trail.
Fear seized him at the same time as guilt for startling her. And admiration for how fast she must have been running to have fallen so far. And then disappointment that the beauty of the song had been severed short.
Shepard Lake sat on a granite boulder, cradled his guitar close to his chest, and idly strummed. A small leather-bound journal lay open, blank-faced but for the date. Waiting for something that may never again come. He closed his eyes, shutting out what was considered to be one of the most spectacular views in the eastern part of the United States. Dumb move—like so much of his life, he’d come to realize since he’d stepped away from his career and dedicated this past year to so-called self-discovery.
He’d come for the view. He’d come to find his music again.
He’d given himself a year.
The Christmas Sing Off by Sinclair Jayne is 3 star book.
