When yet another acting rejection stuns Wynter Holly, she decides to give up acting altogether—until her friends set her up for potential success with an unconventional, and perhaps unsuitable, intervention. All Wynter Holly, aka stage name Wyn Hall, wants for Christmas is to be cast in a significant role in the upcoming Harbor Falls Actor’s Playhouse production. What she gets is a gig playing … production. What she gets is a gig playing nanny to four children who happen to be attached to the casting director of the play—the casting director who doesn’t think she’s suitable for any role in the play.
All Rob Black wants for Christmas is happy children and to be home. After all, he promised his brother and sister-in-law he would take good care of their kids while they enjoyed a second honeymoon, and that he’d provide them with a special Christmas. His niece and three nephews deserve a great Christmas but unfortunately, Rob has to fly off to California to satisfy his business partner, and can’t deliver on his promise.
Can the nanny come to his rescue? And can Wyn play-act her way through this nanny business?
A series of twisted tales set both Wyn and Rob on a path of untruths they finally have to face. Have they both been cast in unsuitable roles? Or are they each exactly where they need to be?

This reads like a Hallmark story. It’s very sweet. Actress pretends to be a nanny and ends up taking care of the nephews and niece of a casting director. The characters are sweet and funny. The storyline is enjoyable with just a hint of drama but nothing too crazy.

A sweet romance from one of my favorite authors!
If you have visited Harbor Falls before you’ll love this Christmas romance. The characters are warm and the town welcomes you back like an old friend.
I really enjoyed this book! It was fast paced and flowed nicely. The turn of events were done beautifully and the ending was terrific! This is a fun and exciting paranormal romance! I liked it!! It has drama and steam, with very likable characters.
Book four in the A Harbor Falls Romance series a well written story that held my interest until the end. I enjoyed reading Wynter Holly and Rob Black’s story and his niece and nephews and all their ups and downs. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I wanted to like this and it had some great parts but there was something missing. Plus although they ended with a kiss we didn’t get to see the relationship grow at all. The whole story was about the lead up with no reward.

Rob Black is watching his sister-in-law and brother’s kids while they have a second honeymoon. But the timing isn’t great and his partner told him to hire a nanny. A Jerry Crews movie was coming up in L.A. and Jerry specifically asked for Rob to produce it. So while in the middle of getting the cast for the Harbor Falls Actor’s Playhouse production, he had to hire a nanny, and had to fly to L.A. in two days. No wonder he had a headache! Wyn Hall was next. She barely read 10 words and was dismissed. So she spent the next 3 nights at the bar drinking and wallowing in her misery. Her friends finally decided enough was enough and took her home in a cab as she slid off the barstool.
Her friends Lisa, Charla, and Zach sat with her the next day and had a long talk. They were best friends because their creative sides drew them together: Charla’s writing, Lisa’s painting, Zach’s graphic design, and Wyn’s acting. So despite her claiming she was quitting acting, they wouldn’t allow it. It was who she was. Waiting tables could not be her lifetime profession. She did have a pre-school teaching certificate, but that was not an appealing job choice. But her friends had a plan for her.
They three of them showed Wyn an ad in the paper for a full-time nanny. She argued that she didn’t like children and had no experience, which is where the challenge comes in. They want her to convince the people who put the ad in the paper that she is an experienced, full-time nanny with all the qualifications that come with it. This will be the “ultimate acting experience, real life drama, like a reality show”, they tell her. None of them know who the job is actually for, and she just found out she lost her waitress job for not showing up the night before when she neglected to check the schedule change… is Fate working in her life? Will Wynter Holly be able to convince Rob that she has the experience to handle this job? Will she successfully master her new role? Or will she fail and make the worst possible impression on the man who could kick-start her career into the stratosphere?
This is a really cute story. What I loved most was watching her friends come to her rescue before she drowned herself in booze. They truly cared and the reader could see true friendship in action. They believed in her, and gave her the courage to challenge herself. This was a very empowering story, even beyond the love interest. Grab your copy and enjoy!

This is a sweet holiday romance with strong characters in Wynter and Rob. The author does a great job bringing the two together and giving them a strong connection and hot chemistry but throws in a few obstacles along the way. It’s well written and moves quickly and smoothly. I enjoyed watching them come together and reading their story.
