Betty Kowalski isn’t looking forward to the holidays. She just can’t seem to find Christmas in her heart. There’s church, of course. But who can she bake for these days? And who would care whether or not she pulled out the Christmas decorations? Her new neighbor just adds to the problem. He’s doing home improvements that don’t appear to be improving much of anything. These days when Betty looks … Betty looks out the window, she sees a beat-up truck, a pile of junk, lots of blue tarps, and–horror of horrors–an old pink toilet.
But when a mangy dog appears at her doorstep, the stage is set for Betty to learn a very important lesson about what Christmas is all about. This contemporary Christmas story is a timely yet gentle reminder that God can work miracles through something as seemingly insignificant as a little brown dog.

I like this book very much . Teachers you not to be quick to judge other people until you know the whole story.I’m this day in age we all do that and this is how a lot turns out.
Sweet story.
Quick easy to read sweet story. I didn’t want to put it down.
Light holiday reading. Loved it because it was relatable to real life.
Sweet story of forgiveness
Simplistic… characters were not likable, story lines repetitive, not well written…
A great read to put you in a true holiday spirit. The main character was very relatable. It was a reminder to slow down and give others a second chance. Who knows you might be the one who needs changing!
The Christmas Dog is a delightful story. It spoke

Unbelievable character development…
Great little book. Great to read to kids,

Betty ‘s negativity and fear may appear exaggerated but may be normal when every thing in her community is changing fast and she is trying to exert control over her life. I like her granddaughter …
This sweet Christmas story is still in my head after reading it a couple of years ago. After enjoying this so much I devoured every Christmas book by this author and was not disappointed. Just read!
This story combines a lot of things that I love, so I really wanted to like it. But instead, the main character and her judgmental attitude bothered and annoyed me. I’m sure that’s partly because of where I currently am in life, but to me, she is one of those characters you want to slap in their own book. The story is redeemed by the end, but I …
