Charlotte Glass thinks she knows what love is, but she hasn’t met Ian MacKay.After five years with her self-absorbed boyfriend, librarian Charlotte Glass surprises them both and breaks up with him. Before parting, he bitterly tells her to have fun on their upcoming romantic vacation—alone. Two days later, Charlotte arrives at a remote cliffside castle in the Highlands of Scotland. Overwhelmed by … castle in the Highlands of Scotland. Overwhelmed by its breathtaking beauty but desperately jet-lagged, she sinks into her sumptuous bed for a quick power nap. She awakens in the middle of the night and heads for the castle library. There, beside a glowing fireplace, sits a strapping Scotsman with a glint in his gentle gray eyes.
Ian MacKay has too much charm for anyone’s good. But he also has scars and secrets. One thing that’s no secret is his interest in Charlotte. At first, it seems harmless. She’ll be gone in a week. But a week is long enough for Ian to know that he’s falling in love—and that the truth will destroy it.

What a fun and engaging story. It’s the 4th book in the series, but is a stand-alone story. This book has enough suspense to keep you reading and intrigued. The author has great abilities in creating a believable story.
A book to put on your bedside table to read whenever you want and that is what I will be doing. A well-written book that I enjoyed reading. I especially liked the ending. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was just a fun book. It was a wonderful tale of love. This one is a keeper. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
Charlotte was at loose ends when she went to Scotland without her boyfriend of five years. He never seemed to have time for her so she struck off on her own. Little did she know that the Laird of the Castle would be a handsome hunk whom she couldn’t keep her eyes off of and it seemed he felt the same way about her. However, she was on a holiday and not a long stay so could they possibly make a relationship work or love for that matter. The reason I gave this one three stars is because there is no ending to this story that I could see.
The Christmas Castle #4 – This is my first read by this author and I enjoyed it. Well written and interesting, this quickly read story is easy to get lost in. All the characters are likable, realistic and enjoyable. The couple are perfect for each other and their best friends are a good choice, too. The storylines are good. I giggled in a couple of places where the Scots spoke American, but overall this is a delightful story.
I’m glad to have discovered Ms. Jarvis. There’s an overview, which I appreciate knowing what a book is about before I read it. I found this book on Booksprout.co. 4*
What a vacation. To break up with your boyfriend right before a romantic vacation. But if it is over better before than after. Than to go on that vacation alone and meet a very alpha male at the castle. The way to go. Nice vacation. But all is not always smooth on the way to love. It is exciting, suspenseful, fun, enjoyable, attention getting, emotional and so much more. I was given a review copy by booksprout and voluntarily review it.
This wonderfully written book will have you singing “Fa La La” in no time! I loved the humorous lines. There is such chemistry between Charlotte and Ian! This book was a joy to read.
