This is a quick, fun and cute romance story. I laughed when I knew how Max and Laure meet. And I like how they solved their misscommunicatiom. A short Christmas story very enjoyable.
Maxime has been in love with Laure from the first fated meeting in the men’s bathroom 5 minutes before a big meeting. That meeting ended with Laure terribly embarrassed for getting caught in the men’s facilities and Maxime caught with his “member” in hand. The couple went on a date within the week and moved in together 4 months later. Fast forward to where the book begins, Max is now killing himself with the what-if’s as he prepares to propose to Laure. The fear that she could say no has left his anxiety at an all time high and his libido in the garbage. After a month of him being distant and only giving cryptic responses when she asked what is troubling him, she begins to think he is going to end things. Thanks to the worst snow storm of the year and a meddling mother, the couple is forced in to what could only be seen as a “life and death” situation. I thoroughly enjoyed this short story and wouldn’t have minded it being longer to follow the couple. Both characters were likeable in their own right. The story seemed realistic and not “to good to be true” like some romance novels. There were a few steamy moments and there was a delightful HEA.

The holidays are filled with shopping, baking and tree trimming. The stress can become overwhelming and it is hard to accomplish everything on your list. Planning a surprise engagement at Christmas sounds romantic and Maxime wanted it to be perfect for his girlfriend, Laure. Instead, he is nervous, can’t sleep and his anxiety level is sky high. He has basically fallen apart and his behavior has caused Laure to question how he feels about her. They were soulmates from the moment they met and she loves him with all of her heart. Laure wondered what was wrong with Maxime, to make him distant and preoccupied. The holiday season is filled with hope, wonder and starlit skies. Can the magic of Christmas bring them a special wish of an everlasting love full of passion, sunny days and sparkling nights?
A quick, high drama read. Poor Maxime was planning a perfect proposal to Laure but the stress was causing a misunderstanding between them. I had to laugh at their first meeting! But I had to question his decision of walking in a snowstorm. Thankfully, everything works out for this couple.
