This was a fun little holiday romance story that was a perfect escape for an afternoon. The premise that divorce lawyers fall for each other by believing in second chances and Christmas magic is an amusing idea and the situations were so sweet that Harper and Gabriel found themselves in.

This is book five of the Blue Moon Bay series and tells the story of divorce lawyers Harper Avery and Gabriel Hart. Harper has been jaded by her own past experiences an carries this through to her clients and wanting to get the best deal for them and to get them out of an unhappy marriage as soon as she can. She has one final case to wrap up before the Christmas holidays, and she and her client have been left waiting for opposing counsel, in his own offices, which makes her annoyed. When her client’s soon to be ex-husband says he wants a second chance and that he is sorry, her own client gives in to the sentiment, leaving Harper sure she will be hurt yet again by her husband’s actions. But Gabriel has the attitude that he should do all he can to get couples back together, rather than forcing them apart when there might be a second chance for them to be happy together. An example he got from his own parents who are still in love and together. Gabriel has to do all he can to stop Harper from ruining his client’s chance to get back together with his wife.
Harper gets a message from a friend saying their cabin at Lake Tahoe is free for the Christmas weekend and is available for half price due to the late opening, so she decides to go away for some peace and quiet. When she gets there, she finds someone else is already in the cabin and it just happens to be Gabriel, who is a friend of the owner’s wife, who had contacted Harper. It seems the husband and wife team hadn’t spoken to each other and each offered it to a friend, leaving it double booked for the holidays! Both refuse to give up the peaceful retreat for the holidays, although Gabriel does allow her to take the only bedroom. She hasn’t exactly come prepared for the heavy snow conditions and any sort of outdoor activities, but is pulled into some activities with Gabriel. A hunt for the perfect Christmas tree starts it all off, as both love the holiday and Harper was let down by her mother at the last minute.
Harper knows he is handsome, but has spent so long being on her own and refusing to think of love after a bad experience. Just as they are getting closer, their clients get back in touch. Gabriel’s first, but he doesn’t pass on what his client has said he would do. Then when Harper’s client calls up in a complete state, it becomes clear the husband has done exactly what he always has done and taken her money to set up some silly business idea and expects her client to foot the bill again. Harper and Gabriel were getting closer, but finding out he knew what his client was up to and didn’t tell her, not that he could due to client privilege, draws them apart. Whether they can fix things between them, or save their clients from each other, may depend on if they can beat the odds and use a bit of Christmas spirit to help them. A nice holiday story, with two people with differing life experiences driving their work methods and attitudes. Some Christmas cheer and shared experiences may be just what they need to find love. I loved Harper and Gabriel. I loved that even though he was a divorce lawyer and saw when love fell apart, he still believed in love. The irony of two divorce lawyers getting together was awesome. I really enjoyed this book and couldn’t put it down. Susan Hatler does a great job in telling Harper and Gabriel’s story. I love how they responded differently to heartache.

Christmastime, falling in love, having an argument or betrayal, then getting that second chance. Isn’t that what we all like to read? I adore Susan Hatler’s Blue Moon Bay series, most particularly the Blue Moon Bay Legend. Swooning sigh inserted here!
I received an e-copy of this story for my honest review.
I liked this book. The story was well written and flowed beautifully. The characters were well defined within the story and they had such great chemistry. I loved the ending. If you like the works of this wonderful author, then this book is a must-read.
Adored this sweet, sexy and fun adventure filled with engaging charters, witty dialog, heart racing twists, emotional turns and undeniable passion. Was a fun and highly entertaining holiday journey.
One kiss under the mistletoe….But what if there is no mistletoe is it still a Christmas kiss
A Christmas Kiss is the fifth book in the Kissed by the Bay series and is a charming and sweet story. I have read and also purchased several of the book in this series and enjoyed them, which is the same with this one. This time the story is about Harper and Gabriel. Both are divorce attorneys who are on the opposite sides of love. She has seen it all and is jaded at the prospect of love and marriage while he believes that love can heal everything and is ready to jump in with both feet first when he finds the one for him. It may be their respective clients that put them together but it is a cabin in the woods at Christmas that will keep them together. Will it be forever or just for the moment?
A Christmas Kiss by
Susan Hatler.
This is book 5 of kissed by the bay series.
Brilliant read. I loved the story and characters. I loved the cover too. 5*.
A fun and sweet holiday romance. It is a shorter book. I love the legend mentioned and this is the first book of the series I have read, but I assume that is a theme through all of them and I think that is wonderful and unique. I would love to read more from the series and definitely more from this author.

A Christmas Kiss is a standalone read with a HEA. Harper and Gabriel are two opposites attract to each other. This is a heartfelt, sweet and a fun Christmas read. I thought that it was a well written and had good storyline.

I really enjoyed this book. It was romantic, sad, and humorous.
Harper Avery did not believe in love and Gabriel Hart did. They both are divorce lawyers trying to out do the other. One day while talking with their clients, things got turned around. Their clients taught them that love does happen if you let it.
I hope to read more books by Susan Hatler in the future.

Some couples seem to reach a certain stage in their lives and decide divorce is the logical option. Many do not seem to have worked very hard to try to be together.
A certain gentleman decides he wants another chance with his soon to be ex.
Can his attorney keep Harper, the attorney for his soon to be ex, from coming between the couple? Can the opposing attorneys survive an accidental double booking for a holiday when they end up together?
Law and love are complicated.

Harper and Gabriel are divorce attorneys on opposite sides of a divorce. They were both badly hurt in prior relationships, but they have dealt with it differently – one of them is a romantic, and the other is a cynic. Her friend’s rental cabin in Tahoe becomes unexpectedly available for Christmas at the last minute, and Harper jumps on the chance to go. Her friend’s husband makes the same offer to Gabriel. They forge a truce, then a friendship which heads toward a romance. Until… They eventually find their way to a happy ending. This is such a feel-good story, exactly what I look for from this author. The story grabbed me from the beginning, and I loved the characters together, although Harper was frustrating at times.
