Is she strong enough to fulfill her legacy or will the dark side prevail?
After the gruesome battle on Xzanthar, General Arantu is on a mission to seek retribution, and he has Earth in his sights. Alinthia and her protectors ally with the government to shield innocent humans from attack, but that’s not their only concern. As her eighteenth birthday approaches, Alinthia’s awakening draws closer, … approaches, Alinthia’s awakening draws closer, and no one knows what to expect.
Working from the secret society’s hidden base in the Valley of the Queens, Alinthia attempts to forge partnerships with alien allies in preparation for the ultimate battle. However, emotions are running high, distrust is rampant, and loyalty is hard-won.
Dane continues to push Alinthia away, causing additional friction and uncertainty when they can’t afford to be divided. Determined to avoid confronting what happened on Xzanthar, he throws himself into his duties, butting heads with everyone as he struggles to deal with the aftermath.
Presenting a united front has never been more important, but will their bond be enough to save Alinthia from the dark, evil forces still lingering in the shadows? Or are they all doomed to fail?more
Alinthia’s story just gets better. The biggest question is whether she’ll succeed as the chosen one.. with all her guys by her side.. or not? Discoveries are made.. hearts broken.. and relationships mended. An incredible journey!
I love sci-fi and paranormal stories, and I love a good hot romance. I’ve long enjoyed Siobhan Davis when it comes to the latter, and in her Alinthia series she has proven that she is a master of romance in the sci-fi / paranormal realm again. The Chosen One (Book 4) continues this series in high style. I love Alinthia (Tori) and her yummies … err, I mean Protectors. Great hot romance mixed with great sci-fi with paranormal and a super plot (gotta destroy General Arantu and save Earth) filled with great characters. I’m sooo there. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.
Well! I don’t even know how to write a review of this book that explains my feelings without giving anything good away! But, I’ll do my best.
I love the Alinthia series. It’s my favorite series of Siobhan’s, which is saying something, because I love them all! I cannot wait for book 5 to come out, I really really want to know what is going to happen!
I liked that in this book we got to see more of her relationships with the guys than we did in the last book. It was really nice to watch things develop. Maybe my favorite thing was watching how much confidence Beck came to have, and how much he’s grown as a character. He’s already my favorite, but I really loved him in this book!
As he always does lately, Dane broke my heart over and over again in this book. Argh! Siobhan really knows how to make me squirm.
I really loved this book, and I would highly recommend it to any fans of the other books in this series.
I was lucky to receive an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own, and I was not compensated in any way for my review.
Like all the other parts of this story, I blew right through it in a day, even reading it on breaks at work! I’m going to read it again closer to the release of the next installation and I’m already excited for what comes next!

The Chosen One is the 4th book in Siobhan’s Alinthia series and must be read after books 1 thru 3.
Siobhan has definitely made me a fan of two genres that I did not read til starting this series last year – reverse harem and sci-fi and she has combined both of those into this series.
The previous three books have definitely had the perfect blend of the romance, getting to know each of the characters along with the sci-fi aspect and Alinthia/Tori’s purpose, to destroy General Arantu and save Earth. This book definitely delved more into the relationships between Alinthia and her four protectors and strengthening that bond.
I have to say, when I noticed this leaning more towards the romance aspect and not so much the sci-fi aspect, I thought I would be slightly let down. But not surprisingly, Siobhan was able to make the relationships between each of her four protectors just as enticing as the sic-fi part. But I think part of that driving force is that things aren’t all rainbows and unicorns with one of her protectors. And the bond between all four of her protectors is a key element in saving Earth.
Siobhan truly knows how to deliver each piece of this very enticing story perfectly. I love that she keeps her readers engrossed in every aspect of this story. The characters are very well written and intricate to the storyline – everything about them just adds another element to the story.
I cannot wait to see what happens in the final installment in this series.
I really enjoyed the latest installment of the Alinthia series. This book is more about the bonds and emotional aspect, as the last one was more action. Without any spoilers, you will find yourself frustrated, feeling first love, sad, angry and surprised. I really enjoyed this book and am excited/dreading the last book in this series because I enjoy all the characters and Ms. Davis’s creation of them. I really enjoyed reading this book. This is the fourth book in the Alinthia series, and it includes plenty of action as the princess and her four protectors work together to try to defend the world she has grown up in (Earth) from utter destruction by forces of evil.
This book also features plenty of steamy moments between Tori and her men as well, so fair warning if you try to avoid this type of literature. If you are a fan f Sci-fi and reverse harems, you will want to read this series (I recommend you start with book 1).
Wow kept me in suspense from beginning to end, and I can’t wait for the next one to come out!
Ms Davis is a fantastic storyteller.

I really wanted to like this book… I really like the first two, the third is okay, but this 4th one felt so rushed. Nothing really happened. Dane and Tori’s relationship wasn’t resolved. I don’t know who’s Beck turned into, sort of like Cooper. But Maddox was still really hot. The sex scenes seemed really unbelievable, especially since they’re all supposed to be young adults. I really thought Tori’s character changed for the worse the farther along in the series we go. The first book she was a sting female lead but I just feel like she’s been kind of dumbed down, giving in to her “guys” more and not being herself as much. So all that to say, I’m disappointed in this book.
I forgot how much I enjoyed this series! This book has lots of angst, lots of steam, and some fun action. As Alinthia embraces her destiny, she finds that she can no longer ignore the divide within her inner circle.
Definitely new adult, as the characters act mature for their earth age.

I absolutely love the Alinthia Series. It’s so underrated and deserves more attention. This was my first SyFi series as I normally don’t care for them or don’t like them but this series is incredible. That’s probably because anything Siobhan Davis writes is gold. The Chosen One book # 4 in the series picks up where the last book left off. Alithina and her protectors are now all together again and getting ready to go up against General Arantu. Coop and Maddox are their loving selves but amped up after being taken prisoner in the last book even Beck has opened himself all the way up to Alinthia refusing to go another day without showing her how much he cares and loves her. Beck is no shy man anymore and could he be any sweeter. Everybody needs a Beck in their lives and I’m completely serious about that. Dane on the other hand is still distant and I swear I want to strangle him. His mood swings give me emotional whiplash. We know he sacrificed himself for his brother’s by being Alandra’s slave in the last book but we find out just how bad it was in this book. The end of this book will rip out your heart then put it back in and stitch it up again. The battle is still coming and Arantu has to die. Alithina and the guys know what they have to do but can they do it? I guess we just have to wait and see. I can’t wait until book # 5 releases.
As the fourth book opens, Alinthia and her four protectors are back on earth. As her awakening to be the Galaxy’s Chosen One comes closer, she struggles with understanding the true prophecy, trying to protect earth from imminent galactic war, dealing with nighttime terrors of the dark side and trying to help her guys heal from their time in General Arantu’s captivity. Alinthia, Beck, Coop, and Maddox are growing ever closer while Dane’s PTSD drives him away from the group. Alinthia’s strength comes through the bonds with her protectors. Will the trauma inflicted on the guys be the downfall of the galaxy’s Chosen Savior? Or will they be able to heal the hurts of the past to bring them closer and stronger than ever? I highly recommend this series and look forward to the final book. As a member of the ARC Team, I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I could not put this one down! I really missed these characters, and The Chosen One was totally worth the wait. I feel that we spend a lot more time getting intimate with each character—and I don’t mean just physically intimate. Most of the guys are at the point of complete trust with Alinthia, and that allows not only them but also us to feel the bond with our favorite characters. I absolutely loved watching their relationship evolve and transform.
Now, the steamy scenes are super hot. I loved that Alinthia was finally able to spend time with her men, and one scene was SO hot that I had to add it to my all-time favorite list. You will know it when you get there! I refuse to spoil anything for you.
An important plot from the last in series carries over into this story, and I am glad that Siobhan showed the seriousness and realistic nature of the issue. I am still not quite sure the issue was solved, and I look forward to seeing where things go from here.
Now that The Chosen One fulfills our needs for intimacy, I look forward to more action as Alinthia and her men kick some bad alien butts! I also can’t wait for Alinthia to awaken, and I can only imagine how Siobhan will make that happen.
I received a copy and volunteered to review it.
Love the premise for this series! This is the 4th book in this series, so definitely read the previous books before reading this book. This one picks up right where the last book left off. Alinthia needs to gain allies to fight evil alien bad guy, Arantu, and she needs to train her mind and body for the battle coming up. Love all her kicking butt powers! She’s also getting a lot closer to her harem and dealing with Dane’s PTSD from the horrible torture; physical and emotional, of the last book. The PTSD is creating a fracture in the group’s bond and Dane is being quite difficult. This book felt like a filler book because not a lot of story progression is going on, but I still enjoyed it. There’s a lot of sex scenes, so this book focuses more on that. The scenes were good, but were more crude than romantic, so I didn’t quite love them. Still some hot moments though! I also prefer one on one experiences; especially when it seems that one person isn’t fully into it, so that felt a bit forced into the story for me. Also, why mention condoms with only one guy, but not the others? I found that weird. It’s great to see the connection between Alinthia and each guy; love that they can mentally communicate with each other. Love all the sweetness and how much the guys look out for Alinthia. There’s a bit of action and the story entertained me. The next book should be epic with everything finally coming to a head. Really looking forward to reading it!

I really love this series. War is coming, and it’s up to Alinthia to convince other planets to ally with her against the big bad, General Arantu, in order to keep Earth safe. Still coming to terms with who she is and her role in saving the galaxy, Alinthia must also contend with Dane’s increasing hostility towards her. The girl has a lot on her plate. Fortunately, Coop, Beck and Maddox are there to support her. And those three are everything in this book. Wow. I’m so excited to see how everything will wrap up in the next book, and I already know this is a series I will binge read over and over again.
