International Bestselling Author Ava Miles shares a heartwarming and emotional novel about the magic of love and second chances amidst a chocolate garden.
Visionary gardener Tammy Hollins is making a new life for herself and her children after a tragic marriage. Plants she understands, but men…well, … marriage. Plants she understands, but men…well, they’re of the weed variety. She’s started her own landscaping business, catering to her country music rock star brother’s friends. Her first client is sexy, soulful, Alpha hero material, and the one man who tantalizes her and scares her to death.
John Parker McGuiness is a man of many talents, working as a songwriter and lawyer for country music’s biggest stars. He’s drawn to Tammy like no other and hires her as his landscaper, wanting to show her they’re made for each other. When Tammy learns he’s a professed chocoholic, she fashions a magical garden for him — a chocolate garden.
As the garden comes to life, their love for each other grows. When tragedy strikes Tammy’s home, John Parker is willing to move mountains to protect her and her children. Tammy struggles to guard her newfound independence as they use the magic of the chocolate garden to help her children feel safe again. But when secrets from Tammy’s past resurface, can their love and passion survive the memories haunting her? It would of been nice if the ending went 3 to 12onths down the road. Ending to abrupt.
Loved it!
The main female character struggles with her new identity as a self-supporting independent single mother of 2 young children. Her married years were spent trying to maintain the cover story of the perfect happy family. In reality, the mother is hiding years of mental and physical abuse. The author weaves a beautiful story that will warm your heart while having plenty to think about. Gardens as a means of healing are an added bonus for the reader.
Second book I’ve read in this series and they were both wonderful. This was a realistic portrait of someone trying to raise 2 kids after a abusive marriage and a dysfunctional family.
Will definitely look into other books by this author.
A very good read about learning to trust & love again. After an abusive husband, how long does it take before your heart is willing to open to a new relationship? This is a good book for anyone trying to regain their footing after a disastrous marriage. It can be done.
It as hard to stay interested – the basic plot was fine but there was a lot going on and hard to keep track of subplots.
Well written, loved every minute of this book, would read again.
Love love love
It was a fairly good read but over did the romantic problems etc. More or less reminded me of day time TV programs.
I will definitely read more books by this author!!! Loved the book!
Good story with a happy ending.
Boring start. DNF
I enjoyed this book very much. I also learned about the plants that have a chocolate aroma – interesting since I had never heard of these before. It was a good story, and I did enjoy it.
I loved this book and all its characters that I had to read more of her books I enjoyed it so much I didn’t want it to end it was something to imagine that chocolate garden and how the children were so thrilled hearing about the chocolate dust and the candy they would get every morning this erased all their fears of the break in at the mansion. 5 stars
I have read this whole series and am anxiously waiting for the next book.
I enjoyed the book but I guess my beliefs about sex outside of marriage and faith in God don’t mesh with the authors’. On one page you have them praying to God asking for guidance and then you have them having sex outside of marriage. Not sure I would recommend this one to my believing friends.
I bought this book because I couldn’t put the first book in the series down. I did find this one to be a little too sappy for my taste.
Really liked this book, kept my interest
This was a great read! I definitely recommend it.
I loved The Chocolate Garden!
