It’s not just his sweet tooth that’s tempting her.

Welcome to real life where you have to pay rent and act like a responsible adult. Maddie has drifted along but one New Year’s eve, declares that she’s ready to move into adulthood. She swears off chocolate – which she dearly loves – and her incessant flirting. She’ll be serious if it kills her so she volunteers at her local hospital. Enter Mick – fly boy who has no desire to call any one place home – but a severe concussion grounds him. This book is sweet and lovable and heartwarming. It’s one you’ll want to hug and hand on to.
To Maddie, chocolate solved all her sad woes, as well as a way to celebrate. Chocolate solved everything, from easing her worries about her real estate job, to not having a boyfriend, and sad about how her last boyfriend did her wrong, to making her feel cozy on a snowy day. To say Maddie had a little growing up to do, is a little understated, but she had a good heart and wanted to help everyone, even find the right home for them and not just sell something for the commission, which would really help pay her rent of her new little apartment.
Maddie should have known better then to go to the New Years eve party at the local watering hole and drink her chocolate martini’s….one after the other until at midnight she had grabbed the nearest guy to kiss and climb on the bar stating she was giving up men and giving up chocolate and making changes to do better for
” Not to Meddle” in others life !
Maddie was determine to stick to her resolutions, as hard as it was, especially after her boss told her she had to sell a home within 30 days or her boss was going to let her…..Go to find something more suited for Maddie’s personality!?
And given the rest of the week to get herself together to do her job. What would she do?
Maddie still determined to turn a new leaf, showed up for volunteer work at the local hospital, and surprised they put her in Emergency….And Maddie’s life was about to take a turn she never seen coming when faced with airplane pilot, Max, in severe pain, and her new flower shoes being christened.
Journeying along with Maddie and seeing her grow and face things head on, is a surprising delight, that kept me wondering what would be next, and wonder if she would cave, just for the money, would she not meddle in others life. I’m glad I didn’t give up on Maddie.
Chocolate
That’s the cure for everything that ails you. Mick is there for his friends stag party early, and to look at property his uncle left his mom & himself. Maddie is volunteering at the hospital. Trying to be a little normal. His accident brings them together.
Sweet story. Not crazy about our heroine being so self destructive, but nicely done.
The Chocolate Cure by Roxanne Snopek is book number four in the Love at the Chocolate Shop series. This is Maddie Cash and bush pilot Mick Meyer’s story. I thoroughly enjoyed Maddie and Mick’s story! Their romance was a fun romance to read. I loved the humor, emotional aspects, and the sweet romance. A great read that left me still thinking about their story. Loved it! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
