Sadie Eicher had thought her world was over when the man she was suppose to marry had found someone else. Even though Elam Beiler begged her not to go. She has come back because of a stalker! I gave this book a 5 star because it is such a great book! It is a page turner when you pick it up you don’t want to put it down I recommend this book if you haven’t read you wont be disappointed Mary Alford is a great Author.
This was a wonderful story that was set in an Amish community, but the heroine, Sadie, had left a decade earlier. Her best friend and neighbor, Elam, is still there solid as a rock, helping her mother, and still loving her from afar. When Sadie runs back to her childhood home, she unknowingly brings danger back with her in the form of a deranged stalker.
This book has a lot of suspense and even though it only took a couple hours to read, it didn’t feel rushed. I fell in love with the main characters and was rooting for them to explore the possibility of a future together.
I received a copy of this book from the author but all opinions in this review are my own
This story was very exciting and action packed. Sadie left her Amish upbringing after being jilted. Ten years later she returns due to being stalked. She realizes how much her mom has needed her and how much she missed her best friend, Elam who secretly been in love with her. With danger lurking Sadie comes to realize she loves Elam and if she able to stay alive she hopes to tell him and return to her Amish roots.
A stalker in Amish country? Yes.. And she doesn’t even know who is doing it! Lots of action, emotions, and suspense as her childhood best friend and the police try to protect her. A little English, a little Amish and a whole lot of danger and suspense… Loved it!!
In most amish book is always about the good and how they struggle with something in their life styles or leaving the religion. In this book the author took you for a twist and turn, super twisted for sure, but very realistic. I really liked Sadie, and her Mom they were both very stubborn and strong willed but very out spoken and they author made you feel like you were catching up with friends. I wish Elam would have been a little bit more spoken but he and his brother hands down had hearts of gold and would do anything for those they love. This book was a quit read and you really can’t go wrong with this book.
An unknown stalker brings unexpected danger and mystery. Good read. I received a complimentary copy of the book. No review was required.
