Read the book that started it all, first in the Wild West Frontier Brides series set in Tombstone, Arizona in the 1880s.All Sadie had ever known, or ever wanted to know, was being a baker. She’d been raised to bake in her parents’ bakery, and after their deaths, she had planned to carry on the family tradition. Devastated to find out she was losing her family’s business, she needed something to … something to do to support herself. When she received a letter from her twin sister’s husband in Arizona Territory, suggesting she come out to be the bride of his best friend who was opening a restaurant, it seemed like the perfect solution to her problems.
Tripp had gone to the best culinary school in the country, and he knew exactly how to create the perfect meal. He spent hours and hours coming up with just the right menu for his restaurant, only to be told he couldn’t get a loan for it unless he married. When his best friend came up with the solution of sending for his baker sister-in-law, it only made sense. Her ideas of the perfect menu were different than his, though. Would the two be able to stay together long enough to convince the bank he was a good risk? Would Sadie be able to convince Tripp that the two of them belonged together after all?

This was a short but sweet book, which I enjoyed.
This was truly a short story. I wish it had been longer.
This story line tended to drag and was predictable. A little disappointing as the story started out great.
clean quick read
Only made it through a few chapters. Ridiculous premise.
It wasn’t a page turner. Pretty boring.
OK. Very clean and predictable. Kind of bland and too easy to know where things were headed.
Very little “romance”.
Just okay. Simple story, predictable.
A cute story. Just didn’t seem to be developed enough.
I was disappointed. Everything seemed to work out a little too perfectly. The author left no loose ends. She wrapped everything up in a tidy little package. Written like she was just trying to expand a small idea into a novel a nd it had to be so many pages long and meet a certain publishers criteria. I am not a publisher. I am a reader and it didn’t meet my criteria and I think she should please me!
Although I enjoyed this book, I felt a little let down when the conclusion of the book happened so brusquely. I felt like they could have had another complication to add more depth to the developing relationship.
This was not my cup of tea. It was boring while it was less that 150 pages, it dragged on endlessly.
An easy read
