Read the book that started it all, first in the Wild West Frontier Brides series set in Tombstone, Arizona in the 1880s.All Sadie had ever known, or ever wanted to know, was being a baker. She’d been raised to bake in her parents’ bakery, and after their deaths, she had planned to carry on the family tradition. Devastated to find out she was losing her family’s business, she needed something to … something to do to support herself. When she received a letter from her twin sister’s husband in Arizona Territory, suggesting she come out to be the bride of his best friend who was opening a restaurant, it seemed like the perfect solution to her problems.
Tripp had gone to the best culinary school in the country, and he knew exactly how to create the perfect meal. He spent hours and hours coming up with just the right menu for his restaurant, only to be told he couldn’t get a loan for it unless he married. When his best friend came up with the solution of sending for his baker sister-in-law, it only made sense. Her ideas of the perfect menu were different than his, though. Would the two be able to stay together long enough to convince the bank he was a good risk? Would Sadie be able to convince Tripp that the two of them belonged together after all?

Wonderful good, clean read and wonderfully written and developed story of a couple’s life in the early years of Arizona’s beginning. She comes from Chicago and has run a bakery and he has become a chef who needs a wife to get a loan to be able to start his business and there their lives begin. Loved it.
I just finished reading this book and it was a pleasant read. A nice clean western romance. I liked the story line and the characters. Very nice.
2.5 meh
This was just meh…. Sorry. Good thing it was free on Amazon. Now I love both clean romances and non clean. I love a good hot sex scene but it’s not what makes or breaks a book for me. I have read many clean romances in my life, because when I was younger my mom won’t let me read the dirty ones lol. So the fact that this book is a clean romance isn’t the problem. The problem was I didn’t see any ROMANCE til like the last page or two. There was no real relationship, no time spend together, he just used her as a worker, and business partner, and that was it. Then boom the end they love each other. Whatevs! I was kinda bored.
Even though the conclusion of the book was not a surprise, it was still a satisfying read. The characters were developed well, the story line was easy to follow, and the writing style was enjoyable.
This is a wonderful historical romance. Sadie takes over her parents bakery after losing them in an accident. Only she doesn’t get to keep the bakery long because she learns the financial status is bad. Getting a letter from her twin sister leads her to Arizona to marry Tripp, a Chef. This is a definite page turner with some sweet characters who both deserve love!
Easy read and a goof story.
I really enjoy all the different “Mail-Order” Bride type books–teaches us all the different strengths of women
I love mail order bride stories and this was fun and very relaxing. Definate recommend.
Independent woman, man needing female assistance to get a loan, lofty dreams and common-sense all woven together for a good read.
Sadie has been a baker since she was little and helped her parents in their bakery. Now that they are gone and her sister out in Arizona the time has come to let it go back to the bank. But her twin sister might have a plan for her. She gets a letter and ask her to come out and be a mail order bride to their friend Tripp. Why not she thinks and goes to Arizona.
Tripp use to work on a ranch and then went to a culinary school after he got injured. He wants to open his own restaurant and needs some help and why not his best friends sister Sadie.
Can these two work together and love one another?
Tripp came across as cold and only focused on himself. Sadie was working her buns off as she was working two jobs. Helping Tripp and getting up and going in early to make her meat pies for the miners. There were times he tried for Sadie and the ending was rushed.
Easy to read. Cute story
It was clean entertainment
Light and a break from serious reading.
Entertaining, and if you dieting a difficult read.
Fun read. Just what I need when I want to relax.
Good story but not erotic or fascinating.
I loved the spunky Sadie! Our heroine was a Chicago baker with a good head on her shoulders and a dose of business savvy who decided to pack up and move to Arizona with her sister. I love the marriage of convenience/mail order bride premise, and this story delivers.
Refreshing! No yucky sex to wade thru.
I enjoyed it.
Quick and light read.
