When Chef Max Vergaras’s orphaned niece comes to live with him, expanding his restaurant empire is put on the back burner. He’s not equipped to handle raising a little girl, especially under the watchful eye of Elizabeth Teague, the social services caseworker assigned to them. Things have never been more complicated, and that includes his feelings for the cute blonde he’s quickly falling for. … Lizzie’s everything he wants, and nothing that he can have.
Lizzie Teague can’t get distracted by one case, even if her new client Max has a way with food that has her thinking about things that definitely aren’t on the menu. With her career on the line, she has to remember why she took this job in the first place. It certainly wasn’t to fall in love, no matter how irresistible the sexy, charismatic chef and his sweet, young niece might be.
Max and Lizzie could lose everything if they give in to temptation. But what if it’s possible for them to gain even more? What would they risk when love—and family—is on the line?

When Max’s sister passed away he took custody of his niece and he also got a social worker assigned to his case. A social worker named Lizzie who Max ends out falling for and she for him and his adorable niece. This is a sweet, heartwarming story filled with drama, heartache, passion and a great ending. This is the first book I’ve read in this series but I will be reading the first four books soon.
I loved this story by Rebecca. It was a fabulous read, making you want to just keep reading the book and never putting it down. Absolutely fabulous xx

The Chef’s Cutie is the final installment in the River Hill series written by Rebecca Norinne and Jamaila Brinkley. Each book in the series is about a fun main group of friends and how their lives intersect and grow over the years.
Max and Lizzie are featured in the final book and they are a super cute couple. Max recently learns that his sister has passed away and left Mia, his niece, in his custody. With never having had children himself and being a very busy business owner, a social worker is a real necessity. But what he didn’t count on was the way Lizzie made him feel at their first meeting.
Wow this man is a tall drink of water, Lizzie thought as she opened the door. Trying to keep professional thoughts is really hard being in Max’s company. She needs to help him focus on raising his niece and navigating this new normal, but her thoughts keep sliding to how it would be to be a part of this family.
Max and Lizzie work together to get the best life possible for Mia, while also attempting to control their feelings for each other. When a new job opportunity arises, will Lizzie choose Max over a new start?
I enjoyed this book a lot and already downloaded the other ones to learn more about the secondary cast of characters. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy without expectations. All opinions expressed are my own.
This is book five in the River Hill series. I have not read the previous books in the series but still enjoyed this one. Max is a chef that is in the middle of developing his career and creating a restaurant empire. However, it all comes to a grinding halt when he is informed that he will be the guardian to his now orphaned, nine year old, niece Mia. He is determined to figure out parenthood, especially with the social worker, Elizabeth keeping a close eye on them. Her priority is her job in making sure that Mia and Max are both successful in this new relationship but she finds her eyes continuously wandering over Max. Their is attraction there between them both but Mia is their focus. Can crossing the professional line lead to a HEA? Enjoy this story and its wonderful characters that make the story float smoothly along. Enjoy!

This book just warmed my heart. Max’s sister passes and he takes custody of his niece. Lizzie works for social services and is assigned their case. But there is an immediate attraction that is a big no no. Max has an amazing group of friends. It does take a village. This book was the last of the series but because I enjoyed it so much that I will go back and read the others. So well written. The passion and love between this couple was a joy to read!

I haven’t read the previous books in this series but now I wish I had. Not to worry though; I will be picking them up now! The characters are so relatable and lovable that it was hard finishing this book. I wanted more of them. Lizzie and Max have a lot on the line but working together becomes difficult when the attraction between them becomes too much. I enjoyed reading this so much.
