There’s one case left: her mother’s murder. Can she solve it in time?Christie Watson is sure she’s about to solve her mother’s murder case. That is until another dead body turns up in front of the Burger Bar. A local charity owner has been killed and in Christie’s name, as well. If she can’t solve this murder, there’s no telling who might be next. The longer Christie takes to find the murderer, … takes to find the murderer, the closer they get to the people Christie cares for the most. No amount of Sleepy Creek cheer or burgers can stop the inevitable. It’s time to close this case for good before it’s too late.

I read this as part of a bookset. This series is a great little read. The commentary was great as it set the scenes for each story and helped to develop the characters’ personalities. Coming back home, Christie didn’t know many people. She was on a sabbatical from the Boston Police Department for performance unbecoming an officer. Christie followed her own rules and investigated issues in her own style. For that, she could lose her job; something she always wanted to be just like her mom. Christie gets into investigating any and all murders helping her friends while being told to stay out of it by the handsome detective. I love the characters. The friendship, camaraderie and love they shared for each other were wonderful! It made you feel like they were your friends and felt like you lived in the town. The twins were a hoot along with Curly Fries! A relationship started to bloom between Christie and Liam and I hope it continues to grow. A lot of twists and turns trying to identify the murderer in each story. Once I began reading, I couldn’t put it down. This was a fantastic cozy mystery with just the exact amount of humor, romance, mystery, intrigue, quirky characters, and adventure that will keep the reader thoroughly engaged.
This whole series is a fun series! I would consider it a cozy mystery genre. There is no major violence, sex or swearing. Each book in the Burger Bar series takes about a couple hours to read. This is the last book in the series. I was lucky and was in the author’s advance readers copy group and able to read these books before they were published. My review is completely my own opinion.
I enjoyed the tension of the mystery of the cold case of the main character, Christie Watson and her mother’s murder. Each book in this series revealed some clues or ideas of what happened but it is finally wrapped up in this last book.
Each book also has a different murder that Christie ends up getting involved in even though she’s not supposed to. She is on sabbatical from her detective job in Boston and living in Sleepy Creek to take a break. She works for her best friend Griselda at her burger bar. I love Griselda’s cat, Curly Fries who adds a little humor to the stories!
And then there’s a cute detective to satisfy any reader’s romantic interest! Also there are the twins Virginia and Mississippi who are 80 and very funny together! Every small town needs it’s quirky characters! I can’t forget to mention Mona, the biggest gossip in Sleepy creek too!
This last book ties everything up nicely as it is the very last book of the whole Burger Bar series. There are some surprises which surprised me! I found this book very satisfying. Enjoy!
This is a great series with wonderful characters and a fabulous storyline that kept me riveted tithe book. I have read all of this series and they keep getting better and better.

Christie Watson no longer has her job as a detective, but that isn’t going to stop her from finding out who killed her mother. While waitressing at her friend’s burger bar, she gets the inside scoop and gossip about everything, especially from 2 elderly twins. When a local charity owner gets killed while on the phone with Christie, she believes she found the missing link to finally solve her mother’s unsolved murder case. But time is not on her side when a loved one is kidnapped and Christie comes face to face with a maniacal murderer. Can she close the case and capture the bad guy before it is too late?
This is the sixth book in the Burger Bar Mystery and because it resolves some previous questions from earlier books, I would say that this would not be good to read as a stand-alone. It is, however, a very suspenseful cozy mystery with great writing and characters that you grow to love, so reading the first 5 books in the series will not be a hardship.

Okay, so there are also several murders throughout the series, but even the gross ones do not seem to be described in gory detail.
Christie Watson has one last shot to solve the murder of her mother – and to keep those close to her safe.
Who is this mysterious O’Connor? Male or female? Was a dirty cop involved in the initial investigation? What happened to the missing players?
Mona has directed her ire towards Christie, upset over the arrest of her family members. Is she really on top of the gossip in town, or really not?
Many changes loom, and dire consequences if a swift solution is not reached.
An exciting finale to this fun KU series!
I received an advance copy from Booksprout. I read this book on Kindle Unlimited. I read most of the books in this series on Kindle and Kindle Unlimited.
Quirky, funny and poignant.
A desperate call, a dead body, and a connection to her mother’s murder leads Christie deeper into an investigation that brings danger ever closer. The Cheesy Steak Burger Murder is an exciting mystery with characters that now feel like friends. I recommend the entire series.

This series from Rosie Point is such a fun and entertaining cozy mystery series. Entertaining story line, fun characters you get to know as you read through the story. The right amount of drama, suspense and twists and turns. Rosie does a great job of keeping the reader engaged in each story. Love them!

Ex-Detective Christine Watson is so close to solving her mother’s murder, that when another murder is dropped off at the Burger Bar takes place, it stops her investigation. The killer is getting closer to Christine and those she cares about, but can she stop the murders before anyone else is killed? Will she find her mother’s killer? This is the conclusion of this series, to which I really hate to have ended. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book from Booksprout.
What a perfect ending to this series!
I am so happy with how the author wrapped up the series – Christie and Liam working together openly, Griz and Arthur getting their HEA, even Mona acting almost friendly. I was quite surprised to see who the bad guys actually were, but in the end they got what they deserved and the town can get back to normal. Cannot wait for the next series!

A very satisfying ending to a fun, engaging series! I love how each book has its own mystery, but they all have a running mystery that connects all the books, with hints along the way. While I think this could probably be read as a stand-alone book, I think it’s a richer experience to start this series with book 1 (The Fiesta Burger Murder) and enjoy getting to know the characters and the developing series storyline. I was really surprised by the reveal in this book, but the explanation was reasonable and not overly complicated like some conclusions can be.
I recommend this book – and this series – to anyone who likes getting wrapped up in a good mystery. Each individual book is a little shorter than a typical mystery, but they make for a fun, easy read and combine to make a bigger set of mysteries, all woven nicely together. I look forward to more books by Rosie A. Point in the future!
