Death, Life, or Love — Unbounded Always Play for Keeps
There are only two ways to kill Unbounded, and fire isn’t one of them — as law school dropout Erin Radkey learns the hard way. By fluke of a recessive gene, she has become Unbounded, a nearly immortal being with paranormal abilities.
Erin’s Change separates her from her loved ones and alters everything she believes to be true. A week … to be true. A week earlier she was considering a marriage proposal; now she contemplates the best way to stay alive. Caught in a battle between two Unbounded groups, the Emporium and the Renegades, she is also hunted by a secret mortal society sworn to eradicate the Unbounded gene.
As Erin plunges into this dangerous new life, she must carve out her own place in the madness, protect her mortal family, and decide which group she should join. Her unique ability is vital to both groups in the race to secure an identification software that spells death for all Unbounded — or enslavement for the entire mortal world. Some will stop at nothing to use Erin as one more pawn in a battle that has spanned centuries. Erin’s undeniable attraction to Ritter Langton, whose family was massacred by opposing Unbounded two hundred and forty years ago, complicates her choices. There are no second chances. Death, life, or love — Unbounded always play for keeps.
Non-stop action, terrifying consequences, and powerful romance make The Change an exciting addition to the world of romantic urban fantasy.

The Change by Teyla Branton *****
Review by KRM
Fascinating Read: Are there immortals amongst us?
Just finished reading the start of this new series and I loved it. I briefly glanced at other reviews, particularly any negative comments, before writing my own – and, I must say, I think it unfair to criticize an “unbound” character’s reactions …
Couldn’t put it down
This book has action, supernatural elements, love, betrayal, lots of twists, great characters and a fantastic story line. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and would definitely read more of Teyla Branton’s Unbounded series.
Wow! Lots of unbelievable twists and turns, betrayal, heartbreak, and heroes! Good versus evil and really evil, who will win? Who can you trust and who can you believe? With betrayal around ever corner, murder and mayhem waiting to attack at any moment, there is no time to rest! Who will be saved, who will die? The characters are …
So good I had to order the second book to keep reading….
Always great to find a new writer you didn’t know about who writes great stories.
Erin should have been killed in a car accident fire, but there is something about her, she is unbound.
This makes her survive, but also introduces her to a world she didn’t know about.
A world where you have evil unbounded and renegades, it is her choice to choose a …
This book was surprisingly inspirational to me. Due to the fact that the main characters have unusually long, but finite lives, I thought that as a Christian I have eternal life that was purchased by Christ on the Cross. Therefore, I am inspired to live my live as if I will never die. Indeed I will cross over to the other side, but “death where …
Would highly recommend this book to my high school lit. teacher.
Too much violence for my liking, but the story was really interesting, and I like the concept of the unbounded.
It was a great book the author has a great imagination
I enjoyed the many layers of family/ corporate intrigue and double dealing. The wonders of immortality thru other than vampiric means was fascinating.
I enjoyed the author’s world.
This series is addictive! I loved (and hated) the the romantic tension and love triangle…. love that this is co-existing in our world, and is written so well that you really want to believe it!
Really good book with good original story…loved the main character. I do recommend this book.
If I read it, it was excellent !!!!! I READ IT. JAK, jr.
This was an engaging read for spring break — a mental vacation from normal.
I like the book and the characters. So much happened so fast that sometimes I felt a bit lost. And seriously, every single guy lusts for the heroine? I won’t put any spoilers, but I wish the pace was a little slower. Too many dramatic reveals so close together with no development of the issues that they would cause. But I still like the story line …
I really like the characters. story had a little twist but easy to read .
Arresting, original dark paranormal fantasy! Slow in places, but pulled me in and kept my interest with originality, twists and turns in the plot and interesting characters. Enjoyable. First in a series.
A page turner from beginning to end! I usually don’t enjoy this genre but I totally enjoyed this book! Look forward to reading more by this author!
