When the Bartolini’s lost their parents, a deep dark secret was revealed a out their parents past, and one sibling is not a Bartolini. When Gia ended up being the one that wasn’t their dads biological daughter, she takes off on a long journey trying to find the man that is her real dad. Will she really unveil secrets that have come to haunt them?
This is a sweet romance that has several other stories going on within the story. I was wondering where the puppy came in, and this was an interesting story as well. I felt the puppy held things together between Gia and Ric, especially at first. And Ric and the puppy are so adorable together.
And now to the rest of the story. It is so hard for me to write this review and not give away any of the plot! I can say that the author does a really nice job with her characters. As I read the book I had the feeling these were real people in our real world. I love the family setting, and even though they have money, the three siblings do not mind working to support themselves. And I will stop here, before I give too much away. If you love a good clean romance, check out The CEO, The Puppy and Me for a few hours of sweet entertainment!

Get ready to read a story that gets right to the heart of the characters. It is like a warm blanket, for me the reader, and while it is heartwarming, it’s gonna tug at your heart strings, too. It’s not that you have to read book one in order to read this second book of the Bartolini Legacy, but to me, it gives more story about the three Bartolini siblings and I enjoy knowing other characters. This book is definitely about Gia Bartolini and the devasting-to-her news that the father whom she adored, and in turn loved her, was not her birth father. To say that she is shocked to learn that she is the sibling who is not a “true” Bartolini is putting it mildly. It is on her journey that she meets up with Riccardo Moretti and her story begins.
Ric has issues of his own to deal with but he is a wonderful character. His personality is somewhat of a polar opposite of Gia’s, although they are both caring, loving people. They just don’t believe in themselves quite yet.
Annnnnnnnnnnndddddddddd then the puppy shows up! So adorable. It is really a great book to curl up with when you want to feel good. Can’t wait for the final story about Enzo, the third Bartolini sibling. I enjoyed The CEO, the Puppy and Me and recommend.

This was an easy book to read with good story line and characters. I loved Gia’s love for family and animals, and her trying to figure out where she belonged and her search for her biological father.
Clean romance without being graphic even though “love making” was eluded to towards the end of the book. I appreciated the clean romance aspect and that there was an actual plot to this story instead of just steamy kisses and love scenes. I don’t read alot of Harlequin Romance books for that reason.
This is book 2 in “The Bartolini Legacy” series but they can be read as stand alone books. I liked reading about Riccardo’s change of character during the book and him being more accepting and tolerable of others.
I enjoyed reading this book-it would be perfect for a summer road trip or beach read!
I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.

The CEO, The Puppy and Me by Jennifer Faye is a feel good, mostly clean romance book. (It has one closed door scene.)
When Gia goes searching for her “real” father, she begins her search with an address. That address leads her to CEO Ric’s late-uncle’s home and to a stray puppy. And so, our love story begins…
Ric is a strong, independent man. But, is he independent because he enjoys his freedom? Or is he afraid of being abandoned? Gia has led a charmed life, but current events have rocked her world. She feels lost and alone as she searches for who she really is and where she belongs.
I loved that both Ric and Gia think they know exactly who they are, yet they discover how completely false that is as they spend time together. That’s true of a lot of us. We can only grow when we discover that we need to grow…that something has been missing and we didn’t even know it!
The CEO, The Puppy and Me is a quick read because you won’t want to put it down. The story flows beautifully. Jennifer Faye has created a truly touching love story that encompasses not only romantic love but also familial love. Oh, and let’s not forget the puppy! Everything’s better with a dog.
If you’re looking for an escape from this complicated world we’re living in, look no further. You’ll love this sweet story.

This is the second in the Bartolini Legacy and it is little sister Gia’s story. Still reeling from the fatal accident that has taken their parents, Gia is also dealt another devastating blow that takes her away from her siblings in search of what she believes will complete her.
In her desire to find some answers, she finds herself trying to rescue a puppy along with CEO Ric Moretti. Ric was a very stick to himself, rely on no one kind of guy. Certainly good looking, but with a very gruff nature. He also has some baggage from his past he has yet to overcome as he is letting it define his present and future.
Well this unprecedented meeting brings these two hurting people together and we watch as complete strangers turn into friends into something more. Unfortunately Gia is much more willing for love and marriage, and Ric is not.
I enjoyed watching these two realize their worth and let go of their past, no matter how hurtful, and to see the gifts they had right in front of them in this classic love story. (This was a clean story with one fade to black scene.)

The CEO, the Puppy and Me
A Bartolini Legacy Novel #2
By: Jennifer Faye
REVIEW
What a treat The CEO, the Puppy and Me was to read! It’s a continuation of the Bartolini Legacy series but reads fine as a standalone. Gia has received some unexpected news about her heritage and family history. She goes in search of answers but finds much more than that. On the Italian island of Lapri, Gia finds a puppy in need of rescue, but she is also trespassing on the property of a great old mansion house. When the owner, Ric, shows up, he rescues Gia and the puppy. Hot Italian guy? Yes, please! Even though I can see where the story is going, I enjoyed it all the same. This book is warm hearted with all the feels and perfect for me right now. In a heavy world, a light, charming and sweet romance such as this is an ideal respite. I am never disappointed with Jennifer Faye or Harlequin Romance. Each book has been lovely and delightful. Give this one a try today, or start with The Prince and the Wedding Planner if you want to read the series in order.

The CEO, the Puppy and Me by Jennifer Faye, is a sweet romance with lots of self-growth for the characters. I was so swept up into the characters’ lives that I found myself crying for them.
Will Gia and Ric figure out the true meaning of family?
Gia
Gia is one of our main characters, and she is grieving for the parents that she lost and the fact that she is not a Bartolini by blood. She sets out to find her biological father to discover who she really is.
Gia is a strong woman; she just needs to finish grieving. I like that Gia can delegate the running of her hotel to the managers that she hired and trust them. Gia is brilliant and uses the abilities that she is good at to make things work. I love how compassionate she is. She puts the life of animals and others before herself. I felt like I connected her on a personal level.
Ric
Ric is our other main character. He has been hurt by those closest to him, and even though he is wealthy and successful, Ric keeps himself isolated and hides his true self. You can tell that he is attracted to Gia from the beginning. He doesn’t believe that his uncle could be Gia’s father and sets out to help her find the truth. Some of that could also be from the puppy kisses. As the puppy Gin, has them both wrapped around his paw.
I like that Ric steps up to take care of the puppy and help Gia. He grows throughout the story. It’s amazing what a little love and respect can do for someone’s attitude.
Five Stars
I thoroughly enjoyed the story, the characters, and the setting. The Bartolini family is just incredible. It’s full of strong-minded individuals who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty. Gia and Ric are so cute together. I love happy endings. Therefore, I am giving The CEO, the Puppy and Me by Jennifer Faye five stars and yes, I do recommend this book to all you romance readers out there.

Jennifer Faye has done it once again with her new release, The CEO, the Puppy and Me. First off, look at that cover! How adorable is that? When I first saw it, I knew it was going be another delightful read by her. This is the second installment from The Bartolini Legacy series. Even though it is part of a series, I believe it can be read as a stand alone.
I enjoyed taking a journey to the beauty of Lapri in The CEO, the Puppy and Me. Ric and Gia’s story was wonderful. I loved their chemistry and I was constantly rooting for Gia throughout the book and hoping for the best for her.

A quest for family! With the second book in her Bartolini Legacy series Jennifer Faye brings us Gia’s story where an adorable dog brings about a meeting that will change her life forever. Interesting characters and an intriguing story line are sure to please.
If you read the first book in the series, you will already be familiar with Gia Bartolini and her desire for answers. Her insecurities of where she belongs resonate with a reader and have us pulling from her from the start.
Riccardo Moretti is accomplished and handsome with an underlying loneliness that pulls at our heartstrings. Watching him come alive with Gia and the new pup in his life is rewarding.
I highly recommend this book and the entire series to anyone who enjoys a bit of a family scandal mixed with romance and new connections. I’m looking forward to Enzo’s story!

It was nice to be transported to Italy and forget about real life for awhile in this sweet and heartwarming story. Gia Bartolini receives news she doesn’t expect when she, her sister and brother receive the details of their DNA analysis. While still half siblings, unmoored, she heads to the island of Lapri for some distance and to search for her biological father. Businessman Ric Moretti, along with some puppy love, add special touches to the story. I was rooting for Gia the whole time. Faye’s characters really make her stories ones to come back to for a reread.

I loved how she wanted to take care of the puppy. I love the way Ric and Gia meet. Ric wants to help find her biological family, will they succeed? Read the book to find out.

A sweet clean read that I had fun reading.
That sweet little puppy stole my heart away. I kept finding myself wanting to reach to pet or hug Gin. I thought he was good for Gia with what she was going through and all.
I found myself relating to Gia time and again.
Reading this story made me want to cry a little because I too am adopted. I was just like Gia
Ric is ok. I liked that he was kind and caring towards Gia. He is worth getting to know.
This story has all the promises of a relaxing and fun read.
I have read this author’s books before so when I seen this book I knew it would be very good! Her books are wonderful!
I really enjoy them because too, she knows when to add a bit of mystery to make it more entertaining and keep your interest at the same time.
You won’t want to put this book down. It is a quick read and I finished it in an hour.
If you want to know if Gia has a happy ending you’ll want to read this sweet read.
I highly recommend it.

Jennifer Faye wove a romantic story that had me reading the book in a day so I could find out how everything turned out. I was so excited to read this story to find out which Bartolini sibling was not really a Bartolini from book one in this series. There was mystery, romance, a sexy businessman, and cute puppies. I really liked the two main characters, Gia and Ric who had both closed off their hearts to love and were just going to pursue work. It was such fun to watch the sparks between them fly as they tried to deny their presence. I am so glad there is another book in this series. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

If you read book one in the series, you met Gia Bartolini, one of the Bartolini siblings. Now orphaned after their parents perished in an accident they are trying to adjust to their new reality.
While reading their mother’s diary, a secret was revealed. Leaving Gia heartbroken and looking for answers, she travels to the island of Lapri.
Ric Moretti is a loner with emotional baggage of his own. When he gets a call letting him know a woman was trespassing his uncle’s estate, he expects to find a gold digger or a thief. Instead he finds Gia under some plantings trying to rescue a puppy. Little did either know that their lives would be forever changed.
Gia brings “light” and laughter to Ric and he in turn brings her hope and assistance in finding her heritage.
While it’s a sweet and touching romance, it’s also a reminder that the experiences of our childhood, do in fact mold us as adults.
Another engaging story in this series.

Thank you in advance to the author, Jennifer Faye, as well as Prism Book Tours for providing an advanced review copy. A positive review was not required and all words are my own.
I was introduced to Jennifer Faye’s in March when I reviewed the first book in this series (“The Bartolini Legacy”) – “The Prince and the Wedding Planner” to review. I thoroughly enjoyed that and wanted to see what happened next. After all, I had to see where the story was going with that cliff-hanger ending.
This is the second book in the “The Bartolini Legacy” series. Some books in a series can work as a standalone read. This, because of the connections and plot, doesn’t work as well. I highly recommend reading “The Prince and the Wedding Planner” before reading this. That sets up the plot for this book and gives this one a major boost.
If you haven’t read that one first – the blurb for this book is going to spoil one of the MAJOR “mysteries” from where that novel ended.
The “non” Bartolini ends up being …
GIA
Thus begins this super sweet, precious, light-hearted romantic tale. After all, how could it be anything but precious with a good looking guy and a puppy in a romantic, exotic location? The cover is so cute and whimsical it’s hard not to want to settle on the couch (or reading nook) and dive right in.
Gia is in the Island of Lapri after finding a clue as to who her father might be. It is here she meets Ric, who thinks she might be an intruder or after his uncle’s estate. But, she’s there to find the truth – after being led there by her mother’s journal.
But, enter a puppy! The little sweetie ends up drawing Ric and Gia closer together in this book. And, it won’t be the only surprise for the two who start off on the wrong path.
Motivated by purely selfish reasons, Ric instantly helps Gia’s search for her father. But, it soon turns into a genuine search to help her. Some of it is guided by his own childhood, one that is similar yet different from Gia’s.
I didn’t know what to make of Ric, but he was a delightful and pleasant surprise. His development over the course of the story seemed to change the longer he was with Gia – in addition to the time he would spend with that adorable puppy. I was rooting for Gia to have a happy ending with her biological father. Readers won’t find out his name until a bit over halfway (½) into the story and there will be a resolution.
This is one part of the story where I wanted more background. I wanted to know how Gia’s mom met/knew this man, along with other questions regarding that matter.
Ric and Gia’s relationship does take a slower road; then again neither one wants to get hurt. It is apparent in the scenes where Ric’s “fame” is brought to light along with his childhood. But, watching as the two fall in love together gives the reader hope for finding love in unexpected places. Part of the hang-up is in trying not to hold each other responsible for the actions of those from their past. Both of them had a lot to learn with that aspect.
Another beautiful message is that biology doesn’t change family, and some people choose to be a family by choice. Love is what makes a family, and watching Ric and Gia learn this is such a heart-warming treat. It doesn’t hurt that the puppy was there to “guide” them along.
This was such a fast-paced, quick little read that it was over before I even knew it. Probably because it was hard to put down. I would’ve also liked to have had a sub-plot with Bianca’s wedding plans given how the first novel went.
This is a super sweet and fairly clean read. There is no foul language, no descriptive sex talk, and a one-time “scene” takes place off-page between chapters. The writer is very respectful and keeps the details to a bare minimum.
Unlike the first one – this doesn’t end in a “cliff-hanger”, but has the standard “HEA” (happily-ever-after) ending. However, I am eagerly looking forward to the third book coming later this year. The blurb on the author’s website (and review) is a bit of a spoiler. And, hopefully some questions or plot issues will be answered and/or concluded in that novel.
Faye definitely wins summer reading with this light, airy distraction where the reader can almost feel the weather, smell the sea, and experience the beauty of this island.
Romance readers who enjoy a sweet exotic romance with foreign locations (Italy, Greece, etc), as well as fans of the author; will likely enjoy this story. Certainly those who’ve read the first book will probably enjoy this perfect, beach-type summer read.

Another winner by Ms. Faye. The second in the Bartoloni Legacy. A tear jerker for sure, but with so much love throughout.
As Gia, Enzo and Bianca await answers hidden in there Mother’s journal things will change one of there legacies. Gia doesn’t care. She loves her siblings.
Gia’s fate is sealed, and her journey sends her to an Italian island of Lapri, where she meets a CEO Riccardo Moretti and finds a puppy. What does her future hold?
Buy the book and see what happens…
It was nice to be transported to Italy and forget about real life for awhile in this sweet and heartwarming story. Gia Bartolini receives news she doesn’t expect when she, her sister and brother receive the details of their DNA analysis. While still half siblings, unmoored, she heads to the island of Lapri for some distance and to search for her biological father. Businessman Ric Moretti, along with some puppy love, add special touches to the story. I was rooting for Gia the whole time. Faye’s characters really make her stories ones to come back to for a reread.
The CEO, the Puppy and me
Gia is trying to locate her biological family in this second book of the series. I love books with dogs in it. Gia finds a puppy that is hurt and rescues it. She meets Ric when she found the puppy. I loved how she wanted to take care of the puppy. I love the way Ric and Gia meet. Ric wants to help find her biological family, will they succeed? Read the book to find out.
I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading the next book in the series.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from Prism book tours. I was not required to write an positive review.
My thanks to Prism Tours for a complimentary copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review.
All opinions are my own
Jennifer Faye wove a romantic story that had me reading the book in a day so I could find out how everything turned out.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
I really enjoyed this romance. I received this book for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I’ve given it a 5 * rating. The puppies gave a little extra to the story. The story drew me in, almost from the first and it kept me turning the pages, just wanted to see what happened next. Left me with a feel good impression.
