In this delightful Cat Who mystery, Jim Qwilleran packs up his two Siamese cats, Koko and Yum Yum, for a summer of fun at his log cabin and finds himself on a trip headed straight for trouble…The trio’s vacation in Moose County starts out ominously with the disappearance of a handyman hired to patch up Qwilleran’s cabin. But the felines really start throwing catfits when they come across a dead … come across a dead body or two…
A serial killer may be right under Koko’s nose, and now this ingenious Siamese must dig deeper to clear poor Qwilleran of suspicion—and dig up the motive for a catastrophic crime.

I enjoyed every page. Very witty!
I love the characters in this series. It is definitely easy reading, but, oh, so pleasant. I enjoy cozies that quickly move beyond the murder and focus instead on personalities and relationships. Pickax has its fair share of interesting characters, too! I read this series when it first came out, and now I’m reading it on my Kindle. Pure delight.
Never disappointed by Braun!
Fun.
I have enjoyed these stories for years. I am older now and am trying to add them to my computer library, so as I travel I do not have to carry books with me. They are fun tales, entertaining, and full of unique characters set in mysterious circumstances. Quill and his felines always entertains!
I loved this whole series. I fell in love with joel grey talking cat and hos lady love.. its always funny on how they solve the crimes bit the Detective doesn’t know who the informants are. I tbink you should start with 1he series.
I loved it. I thought I had read all of her Books but. I missed this one. I am always
amazed at Koko and delighted at sweet Yum Yum. The books are probably best read in sequence but are e.enjoyable in any order.
Usual Cat Who format. A new twist on murders and the reason. Like hearing an old friend tell a story.
Many years ago I found a copy of The Cat Who…books. After reading it, I read all of the books in the series. Very enjoyable!
Cosy murder mystery
Great light reading
I’ve enjoyed reading this series!
Have read many of these books and enjoyed every one.
The antics of the cats are charming! I’ve read all of them.
“The Cat Who……” are always a good read. In a time where we need to just chill out for a while, pink one of this series. It will do the trick.
I love all the “Cat who” books. They are so cute!
One of my favorites
I love the entire Cat Who series. But I highly recommend you read them in order, especially the first three. The human protagonist, Qwill, changes quite a bit and various people come and go and sometimes return in his life, and it will help you keep them straight. Besides, the first 3 in the series are probably the best.
You don’t have to be a cat lover to enjoy these books, but it helps.
Good story telling. I enjoy the main characters.
All of the “Cat Who” books are a good read if you like light reading, witty, easy to read, cute characters, relaxing reads.
A dear friend gave me this book to help me through a hospital stay, and I’ve been a fan of the “Cat Who” mystery series ever since. If you want to step away from the world for a cozy moment, these books are perfect. Main character Jim Qwilleran and his mystery-solving-helpers, cats KoKo and Yum Yum, are easy to fall in love with. I love spending time in their cabin by the lake too!
