I believe I have read all “The Cat Who” books. I find them most enjoyable for a stressless read. I could easily pick up one and read it again.
Another pretty decent installment in the series. I liked this better than some of the past few books. The solution to the mystery was pretty obvious, but everything happening in town was a treat to read. Except for Polly, Qwill’s lady friend. She just seems like a prudish pill in this one. Overall, it was a simple story, which was just what I …
If you haven’t read all or many of The Cat Who… books, you may find the book a bit shallow, but if you are a fan of LJB, it’s a nice interlude in the lives of the characters who we know and love.
Loved all the cat who books. Are there any more coming?
I enjoyed the book.
The author has built a town populated by interesting quirky characters. There is always a death or a few. Never a blood and guts death. Always a resolution.
As a reader of the whole series in have become fond of all of the books set in Pickaxe. Re-reading one of the books in the series is like putting on your favorite comfy …
These are the best for when you just want to read and not have to try really hard to figure out who did it. I’m always re-reading these books. I have them all!
A cozy read is right.
Love these cats!!! Great books!!
This whole series is great fun!
Fantastic series! The cats are wonderful.
I like most of this authors books, but this one read like it was written in haste. Too many characters poorly intertwined. I’ll probably continue to read Lilian Jackson Braun, but I didn’t like this one.
Not the best one but entertaining none the less. I’ve read them all and wish there were more.
I have read all the books in this series and enjoyed every one. Koko is one unusual cat and I like reading about his antics and how he helps solve crimes.
Another of ljb’s lively mysteries that follows the sharp witted cat Koko who is always using his intuitive powers to inflluence his owner’s solving of the problem at hand. A “cozy” book, short on violence but long on enjoyment.
Lillian Jackson Braun was a fabulous author. Her “Cat who…” books are wonderful and draw one in to the small town and its characters!! She is missed!!
Love the entire “Cat Who” series. Wonderful characters and intriguing plots. Hard to put down the book once I started reading iy
