Great read
I love Lillian Jackson Braun’s “Cat Who” books.
I love all her books! Have read many and still have more to read. If you like cats and mystreys then theses are the books for you!
If you like Qwilleran – this is one of the early ones. I do like Qwilleran. My husband is also Scottish so I see some similarities. I enjoy his word usage.
Like all her Cat Who books Koko and Yum yum steal the show. Great cozy read.
I LOVE THIS BOOK! The characters are complex, likeable and hate able, and believable. Qwill is the best protagonist and, of course, YumYum and Koko are the best sidekicks.
It’s an easy read and leaves you wanting more.
One of my favorite authors. Always want to see what the characters will do next.
I love all of her books with the Siamese cats. It’s just good easy reading. I love Qwill and his droopy mustache. It’s not heavy reading but I enjoy them.
I have read all of the Cat Who books and enjoyed each one
Learned some new things about pottery and some pottery vocabulary. As always, you have to love Qwill and his amazing siamese cats.
This was the fourth book in the “Cat Who” series by Lilian Jackson Braun and the last one that I really liked. The down-on-his-luck Jim Quilleran working in the city is much more interesting than the later version living in the frozen north country. I suspect that this is the last book actually written by Ms Braun herself. The plot was original and complex and kept my attention. The cats came through as expected in helping solve the strange murder case. I recommend this as an easy read for anyone who likes a cozy mystery.
Love this very long series. Does need to be read in order. Ms. Braun wrote the first four in the late 1960s, then resumed the series 20 years later. Good story telling and a large interesting set of characters that continue throughout most of the series.
All have been available as ebooks for some years with the exception of Shakespeare which has finally been released as an ebook.
Love this entire series!
I love this series!
