It is sad to realize that we will no longer be entertained by Quill, Yum Yum and Koko. It has been an enjoyable 29 books and are a lot of fun to read.
Gotta love KoKo, YumYum and Jim!
The cat who books are wonderful and entertaining.
Another fun light read.
I love reading this writer.
Light reading for those days I just don’t want to “get heavy.” Lillian’s endearing characters always amuse.
All of ‘The Cat Who’ books are great!
I love and have read most of the Cat Who books and love them..
Coco and Yumyum can make anyone a cat lover.
3 of 5 stars to The Cat Who Had 60 Whiskers, the 29th book in the cozy mystery series, published in 2007, and written by Lilian Jackson Braun. Or was it? It’s fairly common knowledge among those who follow Ms. Braun’s books that towards the end of her career, which was in her 90s… she had a ghost writer to keep the series going. Whether it’s true or not, the fact that she wrote over 20 books in her 70s, 80s and 90s is amazing, even if some of them, like this one, weren’t as good as we’d have liked. The unfortunate thing about this book, besides it having a weak plot and too many scattered things going on, was it was the last one in the series… Braun had started the 30th, but either due to her healthy or failing interest in the series, it was never completed nor published. The series is so fun, but the last few were a little batty!
Love the “Cat Who” books.
Somewhat disappointed. Have owned and read all the prior books in this series and felt that this last/final book by this author was unfortunate.
Lillian Jackson Braun writes engaging characters and nicely comfortable mysteries. If you like cats involved with your detectives, this book is right up your reading alley. Might want to start with the first few books in her series, like “The Cat Who Saw Red, or The Cat Who Read Backwards,” to get the characters’ background.
These books are always a great mystery and hard to put down.
i love all 23 books in tbis series. coco and jim qwillerin are an amazing pair and i love there many adventures.
I didn’t care for this book, have read others by this author but it was painful to finish the book.
I love the whole series.
Always nice to return to old favorites.
Like a visit with an old friend!
Not as good as some of the series, but still a nice break.
