14 individual kitties (who solve mysteries) books.. if you like “The Cat Who…” books, these are fun. Short, clever, individual.. good to read before or after a “heavy” tome!
Fun series; stories in series build the relationships and back story when read in order but can stand alone as well. Qwill, Koko and YumYum find adventure in many interesting places.
Every Lillian Jackson Braun in this series is a great read.
This series is perfect for a cold night and a cup of something warm! Expect great characters, funny and interesting plot turns and fun with the felines..read more than one.
I love all of Lillian Jackson Braun’s Cat Who series. Highly recommended!
One of the many books in this series but this is a short stories collection. They are all about cats and their owners all fiction but some are happy, funny and a couple are sad. Worth the read especially if you enjoyed the cat who series
I thoroughly enjoy Braun’s Qwilleran and his two siamese cats along with their community of quirky characters, mayhem and crime solving.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book; it was interesting and nothing heavy.
Love the “Cat Who” series
3 out of 5 stars to The Cat Who Had 14 Tales, a collection of short stories about cats involved in solving crimes, written in 1988 by Lilian Jackson Braun. So… as if 29 books about Koko and YumYum solving crimes alongside Qwill in Moose County wasn’t enough, Braun goes and pulls together a short story collection with 14 mini-mysteries, some with Qwill’s cats and some without… all cute reads, perfect for a short subway or train ride, a moment in between meetings and while you’re kid’s taking a nap! LOL I read them in one sitting, as they are pretty quick reads. Always fun to see the antics of cats and how they contribute to the welfare of society staying murder-free… or at least solving the case after the murders occur. Since it seems inevitable in Braun’s world — lots of death and lots of smart cats!
I love this series of books.
Actually I was disappointed with this book. I love all ‘The Cat Who…’ books. So I thought I would like this book by Lillian Jackson Braun. It did not live up to my expectations.
Always enjoy her books.
LOVE HER BOOKS. WILL MISS READING THEM
The whole series of The Cat Who books is great.
Great characters – well developed over the series. Was this series the first “cozy” mystery? For me it was. Keeps your interest with characters about which you care.
The full length books are much better than these short stories.
The first couple of stories were like getting invited to a banquet and being served carrot sticks. After the first third of the book I started reading stories that I enjoyed.
Pretty cool stories!
This is a book of short stories and NOT starring the cats in the original books. Did not finish it…
