One of my favorite authors of all time. You feel like Quill is a friend.
Always a good read with the Cat Who series. Great book for a little get away!
Read the entire Cat Who series. What great fun. James Qwilleran is so adorable and his romance with the lady librarian is so sweet. The cats are irresistible, and the stories a delight. No, not Shakespeare or “deathless prose” but more like candy for your brain. Enjoy!
This is where it all began. I have read every single one of the Cat Who books and loved almost all of them. If you love cats and mysteries, this should be on your book shelf.
Solid reading
Love the cats and the humans.
You can’t help but love this book and the whole series. The Siamese cats (KoKo and Yum Yum) and Qwilleran are easy to love and you look forward to their various antics and escapades. Qwill is pretty intelligent in his own right and has an extensive background in research and getting to the bottom of things as a writer and the cats just add a touch of humor and fun to the various adventures. Qwill makes Pickax come alive with its very colorful residents and the adventures he encounters solving various crimes and/or tragedies that befall the town of Pickax. You will enjoy this read. I am just sorry that there will not be more books in this series as Ms. Jackson has passed.
too much on dining and daily routines, not a lot on the actual mystery. Still an easy read, and the cats are like a few I know personally.
Love all the Cat Who books. Easy read, interesting characters & locations.
My sister and I have all her books and we still take them on vacations. If you love cats and well-written mysteries, her books are for you.
Was one if my favorite series and read them all
