i love cats and dogs, so this was a winner in my book. Fun read.
Just didn’t like it.
I like Lillian Braun’s books for light reading. The “cat” series is filled with colorful characters, enchanting settings in the North and unusual situations. Always enjoyable to sit with on a quiet evening.
All of “The Cat “ books are wonderful. The characters are so lovable and best to start with first book and go from there as their lives go on.
Loved her books!!!
Every book in the Cat Who series is a winner
I have read the entire series of the Lilian Jackson Braun Cat Who series and loved every one. They are entertaining and all the characters are true to life people.
Reading this series is like visiting old friends. For me, they are the epitome of a cozy mystery. The characters are wonderful. I would love to have a conversation with Qwill and meet Yum Yum and KoKo. And I’m a dog person. The setting is beautiful, and the mysteries are intelligent. The slightly whimsical touch of having KoKo help solve the mysteries adds some fun to the mix. I recommend this series to any cozy mystery.
These are written for adults. I don’t think children would enjoy them. But I have not seen any bad language or sex in any I have read. I have not read them all, but I have reread some of them more than once.
Love the cats. A favorite series of mine for years. I could read these books over and over again.
This series is good reading on a cold winter night. Great “cozies.”
I loved this book I read it in one sitting. Didn’t make my husband happy because I stayed up all night to read it.
love all the Cat who series
Have read all her books sometimes more than once.
I enjoyed this whole series and was very disappointed when it ended. I am a librarian and often recommended this series to my patrons.
Cute story but still has a good mystery twist.
All of the books in this series are wonderful!
I have read and loved every one of the Cat Who series. Very entertaining.
The “Cat Who” series is such an enjoyable series of books that create a small town in fictional Moose County populated with memorable characters, including two Siamese Cats. With each book, I love returning to spend time with all the memorable characters.
I picked up several random The Cat Who… books at a library book sale and thought I ought to start with the first one to get a feel for the series. I have to say, while I didn’t devour this book, I did thoroughly enjoy it and will be making my way through the rest of the series (maybe not at blazing speed, but perhaps one a month).
The book shows its age with an all male journalistic team, typewriters, dictated tapes, and a few phrases that might be termed offensive to sensitive types, but I think that’s what I liked best about the book (well, and the cat, of course). The mystery takes a long time to unfold and seems a little haphazard in its solution, but the story is never dull and I’m glad I gave the series a chance.
Love this Series.
