This is Braun at her best!! She pulls you in and you feel like you know the characters personally. No blood and gore, but a bit of tension and mystery wrapped in a mix of whimsy and reality. I highly recommend this book!! But beware, her books are addictive!!!
Easy read especially if you like Siamese cats!
I love all of The Cat Who series. Always entertaining.
I have read the entire “The Cat Who” series and will probably read again!!!!!!!!
Love all the series of “The Cat Who” by Lilian Jackson Braun. They are older books, but just the right kind of “cozy mystery” I like.
Step back into 1966 with James Qwilleran and KoKo for a good old fashioned murder mystery. I read these books years ago and decided a do over was in order. This series of books are stand alone, but I’d start with the first because it really lays a good foundatoon who the characters are. The protagonist is a newspaper reporter for the Daily Fluxion and formerly wrote for the homicide beat. He’s still using a typewriter, going to the press club and using a rotary phone. He has a big mustache, a nose for trouble, and a great mind for solving the whodunit with help from a spoiled Siamese.
KoKo is always on the prowl to get his man.
Start with first if you love characters repeated in sequels
Love the “Cat who….” series. Too realistic to anyone who has cats
Love “The Cat Who …” books. Koko is my favorite can. Have read most of the series several times
Great book!
I have read every book Ms. Braun has written about Koko and Yum Yum. Each one made me begging for the next one. I miss their escapades. As you read her books the characters become part of your family. I miss them!
I love the early books in this series. The mysteries are interesting, the setting is always a treat, the characters are dimensional. A great cozy mystery.
I believe I have read all of her cat books and I have enjoyed each and every one of them. The characters are people you wish lived in your neighborhood and I love the smart cats.
Great series
