Penny’s fellow witch and friend Annie is down in the dumps, its the anniversary of her husband’s death. Over tea and cake, Annie tells Penny how she attempted to find Walter in one of the other realms. While telling her story she mentions she made contact with Fred, a spirit from the Spirit Realm. Fred asks if they will open the portal allowing the Spirit Realm Tennis Tournament team to play tennis on Earth as the gravity is better. Of course Penny agrees, hoping it will smooth things over between the Earth and Spirit Realms. At first everything goes smoothly. 8 tournament players and 1 judge come through the portal. Cora hosts a welcoming dinner, where one of the guests are murdered. Who knew ghosts could be murdered? 48 hours to solve a murder, can it be done? Time will tell. Turkey is his usual self, still using the computer, only this time he has started a business. Join Penny, Turkey and the rest of the knitting club as they try to find the killer. I received an ARC and am leaving an honest and unbiased review because I want to.
What a great addition to the series. Penny growing as a witch and finding herself.
Penny Banks, witch extraordinaire and budding detective is at it again in this funny, witty mystery about a coven of witches, a vampire, a telepathic, computer-using cat and, naturally another spell to learn and a murder to solve. This book has a multitude of characters to keep you entertained plus a growing romance unfolds. Follow Penny’s story as she fumbles her way through to love and success. You’ll love this book. I received this book as an ARC copy and this is my honest opinion.
I really enjoyed this book. Amorette does a really great job with her characters and I love following along with Penny to see what kind of trouble she gets herself into. Its a great cozy to curl up to and enjoy. Penny and her friends agree to host a tennis tournament for a group of spirits from another realm. It all sounds exciting until someone is murdered and it’s up to Penny and Turkey to use their PI skills to see if they can find the culprit.
Ms Anderson has written another very entertaining book. You can read this as a standalone but it’s more fun to binge read if you have not read the previous books. The main character, Penny, and her knitting coven are hosting the first ever cross-realm tennis match. We are introduced to several new characters but it’s my thought only one will be coming to this realm. Of course, there’s a murder and they must determine who did it. Much fun and mystery insures. Do yourself a favor and read all of this series!!! I was give an ARC and this is my unbiased review. I LOVE THESE CHARACTERS, THE SCENERY, AND THE FUN THEY HAVE! I am looking forward to the next bookMs. Anderson writes because that’s how good she is!!
This series keeps getting better and better. In this one they
hold a magical tennis tournament. It drew me in from start to finish…
Loved it. I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review.
Another awesome read of the Hillcrest Witch Mystery series! I love every single book in this series and have come to realize there is more real magic in our lives than we are taught when we are raised. I love the interactions between characters and how they deal with each problem that arises. Don’t miss any of these books!
The Case of the Trust Spell is book four in the Hillcrest Witch Mystery series. I absolutely love the relationships that Penny and her friends have, they are so supportive of one another. This is a well written and entertaining book that moves at a fast pace. Highly recommend!

A good Cozy Mystery with Witches that are still learning their craft. Put in charge of the portal to other realm of magical beings.
Penny Banks fellow witch and friend Annie has been talking to Fred a man from the Spirit Realm and asks permission to open the gate to allow eight people to hold a tennis tournament the last which was held twenty years ago. The tournament has not even started and the referee is murdered. Penny has only the weekend to find the murderer before the contestants must return to the Spirit Realm. Meanwhile Turkey her cat familiar has been busy making money for her as a consultant. Another enjoyable tale. Highly recommended.
Penny is up to her eyeballs in spirits in this book, and trying to solve a murder in 48 hours.
Turkey is making money using his new consulting business. Penny and Max are still moving forward in their new relationship, and things are looking up.
Penny agrees to hosting a Walterdon tennis tournament to try and cheer up Annie. The participants will be spirits from the spirit realm.
Even though there is a murder to solve, there still is a lot of laughs in this book.
I love this series
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. I love this series and this book didn’t disappoint. It has magic, mystery, love, and humor.
The main character Penny has a riddle about trust and a murder to solve in a weekend. Penny opens the Portal so spirits from another realm could cross over and have a tennis tournament in winter with snow on the ground at nighttime only. But shortly after they arrive there is a murder.
Penny has a lot on her plate plus her cat Turkey has started a business in her name.
Can a solving a riddle help solve a murder? And does Turkey really have a business?
As soon as I started reading I was hooked. It was a short read so I was able to finish it fairly quickly. I related to Penny because she is similar to me in personality. No spoilers, but I guessed the ending fairly quickly, but the twists and turns made me doubt myself a bit. I had fun reading this one.
