Sam is thrown for a loop here as her wife asks for a divorce and she gets bitten by a hellhound while waiting at a bus stop. Lilith is her first contact on the other side and the paranormal world opens to her with a new mystery. The characters are entertaining and vastly different. The storyline is fun and past paced in the transition. Plenty of surprises and twists keep you hooked on the pages until the end. Really enjoyed the ending and the whole book.

The story was great, but the it was under 135 pages.
Aww a puppy.
Great first installment of this series that has me wanting more. Keen to find out Shadows role.well narrated with voices for each character, includings the puppy.
The Case Of The Night Mark has the perfect blend of engaging characters, an imaginative world, and the mystery of what’s going on. The first book of the series sets things up in a way that leaves you needing to learn more about the world, but satisfied with the way it ends. Plus, there’s the adorable puppy companion, Shadow. She takes the story to a whole other level.
This book was so good. It had a nice little mystery, had snarky heroines, had drama and so much more. When Samantha finds a puppy she has no idea how it will change her life. This puppy leads her to the little known paranormal world and everything that entails. I simply cannot wait for the next installment.

Sam is going through a lot, her wife is divorcing her and she gets bitten by a hellhound. In this book we learn so much about Sam’s life and how she became who she is. I really enjoyed this story and the world this author has created. Great writing and an intriguing story make this a good read.
Our heroine is having a rough day what with a looming divorce and getting bitten by a hell hound. It is bound to get better after that, right?
This is book one of the series, so the perfect place to start. There is a prequel, which is nice to read, but not required.
This is a paranormal mystery story with a slow burn FF romance in the making. The story is well written and easy to read. The setting is well developed, although as per usual I want to see more as there are questions everywhere. I really liked the characters and thought they really made the story. Overall, this was a fun and easy read and I definitely want to read more stories in the series.
Highly recommended.

This was a great read, the characters were intriguing and the mix between normal life drama and the Nox world have it an interesting edge.
However I really wanted it to be longer, so I’m looking forward to the next part. I need more of Lilith and Sam.
Highly recommended!
Sam is a retired police detective. Luckily for her, her wife is about to become an ex- Mel could have mentioned that a bit before drawing up papers, but there you go.
We get a bit more of the backstory on Shadow and Lilith entering Sam’s world, and her joining theirs.
Intriguing connections and disconnects

Samantha world is thrown for a loop when she her wife gives her divorce papers. Samantha and Melissa get into a huge fight, she storms out. She keeps thinking about her relationship, her old job, everything that seems wrong. She doesn’t expect to walk for so long. A storm forces Samantha to take shelter at a bus stop. Samantha and Lilith will work together on the case. Samantha will learn about the Nox world, she will have to deal with her divorce and so much more.

Unfortunately the heavens open and she is wet to the skin and doesn’t really know where she is. Funding an enjoy bus shelter she stands to give herself a minute to catch her bearings. Suddenly she doesn’t feel alone anymore, she feels eyes on her.
And this is when everything Sam thought she new crashes and burns! Now a new reality of on her one she didn’t even know existed, can she figure out what’s going on before its to late.
I know I’m being vague but I don’t want to give any spoilers, this is an interesting start to a series, book one has left me with so many questions (a good thing i promise)
The mystery side of this story isn’t really the main plot to be honest it’s fairly low down there, i hope that changes in subsequent books as we find out more about Sam’s new reality.
A good read that certainly has left me looking for more.
