It’s wonderful to read a book with such well drawn characters, both living and dead! This is a fast read with a different plot than so many books out there today.
I enjoyed this story. It was a fun, light read. Original premise if slightly outrageous and silly. I’ve read soooo many books by uk authors and I’ve come to wonder if English people are fairly represented. So many characters are very, inexscusably nasty ! It’s awful and although I’ve always wanted to visit England, where my ancestors are from, I am definitely rethinking that dream. Tell me it isn’t so!!!
A good read!
At first I didn’t think I was going to finish it but the characters grew on me, so I did finish it. Looking forward to reading the second book. The cover design gives the atmosphere of the book. And the odd quirks of each character clash with each other and makes them a family.
I thought it would be more to my liking when I started reading it. However, it got increasingly boring and repetative as it moved through the story.
I couldn’t finish. The main character was not my favorite.
Very ingaging tale.
I’ve always liked ghost stories and this was an interesting variation on some of the old themes. It was an easy read.
I did not like this book at all. Quit reading after a couple of chapters.
too slow
Hard to read at first but it slowly draws you in. I ended up rooting for the characters by the end of the book and was hoping there was a second book to the series.
A very good read I was sorry when the book ended
At first I thought it was more for young readers. This book was well written and different kind of story than I normally read. Recommend for teenagers to young adults, even though I read children’s stories.
I recommend that you read this book. It is very entertaining and leaves you wanting more!!
Took a while to even get partially interested but have no desire to read another one. Well written in terms of word choice but the story just never caught my imagination
Couldn’t get into it at all. Gave up after 4 chapters
A really good read… the characters are taking shape in this first book and there is lots of room for growth. The world is our world yet with an interesting and plausible twist: that ghosts and spirits exist and the governments of the world know it and hire agencies to deal with them. Quite fun, and very entertaining. I look forward to the next in the series.
This book was a little slow at the start but once I got a couple of chapter in the book moved quicker and became more interesting. Entertaining.
Interesting premise – interesting characters; first in a series – looking forward to next book
A new spin on paranormal plot; nicely done. I’ll look for more from this author.
