This continuation in the series leads us up to the Air Spell. As Penny, Marley, Annie and Cora grow in their new role as witches, they are each growing into themselves as well. Penny is becoming more adept at being a PI and adapting to the changes taking place around and inside her. I feel so much of myself entwined in this journey of theirs. It just gets better and better!
Amorette Anderson just gets better and better! As a member of her ARC group, I got to preview the book and fell in love with it. The story is powerful, witty, extremely realistic when it comes to Penny’s ADHD, and for me inspirational.
As I’ve grown older, many of the things Penny is dealing with hit home. As I read the book, I came to realize that memories live in one’s mind and heart. There comes a time in life when change and letting go of “things” makes sense.
As I told Me. Anderson, she is wise beyond her years which is why this series is so great. Like with the previous books, this one continues to help open one’s self for new things. Watching Penny grow and mature is really great as along the way, I learned a lot about life experiences and how the reader can use these lessons for themselves.
To the reader, just know you are in for a treat as this book continues to deliver the best. As soon as it is published, I will be buying it to keep along with the rest of the series. It Is that good!!
Change is inevitable and constant, even though it’s something Penny doesn’t want to learn. That’s where the Air Spell comes in.
This book was fabulous! It even had me learning things and helping me through some tough times that I’m going through. Thankfully, not having to deal with any murders! I was happy to see Penny grow and learn that she could ask for help when she needed it. And I want to be able to magically create a healthy sundae like Penny did!
I love this series!! Every book is better than he previous one and the growth Penny has experienced since the series started is phenomenal!! Each spell successfully cast by her and her coven as they read and follow ASBW is a joy to behold! The girls have really become “family” as well as coven sisters!
Please do yourself a big favor and pick up The Love Spell first so you can see the growth Penny makes as she and her coven sisters read and apply ASBW in their lives!
Penny is confronted with making changes and I can understand how that is as I’m sure y’all can because we don’t like to move out of our comfort zone. But she and her knitting circle do just that together. Some changes are really only accomplished if done with friends and family and these girls have become just that-family.
I heartily recommend this series to everyone who loves a good murder mystery to solve as well as the girls do with the clues presented.
Kudos Amorette on another job well done! Now on to the next one with “healthy” junk food!!
Nothing is stable in this experience, and that becomes your stability.”
This book’s lesson: the Air Spell. We last saw our heroine after a major change in her life, and this book also continues the idea of change…big change. Add another murder mystery to the mix, and Penny Banks P.I is coming into her own in solving cases the slightly disorganized Hillcrest PD keep getting wrong…much to Penny’s ex Chris’ chagrin….
Penny has a lot on her emotional plate now… a true romance with Max, a father she never knew back in the picture, finding out who her family is, and now, by public demand, a consultant with the local Police after a suspicious death in the community. However, the person arrested couldn’t have done it! Peter was too frail to have done it…but then, who did? And, better yet, why?
Leave it to Amorette Anderson to write another wonderful cosy mystery that you can while away an afternoon with. This whole series is so much fun! Highly Recommended 5/5

Another great book in this series. I did know who the killer was early on but it was still fun to see how Penny figures it out. I also like how the next spell they have to cast helps them in their lives. The spells also tell a real good life lesson in the real world. This time around Penny is feeling overwhelmed with change and wants to avoid it all. The Air Spell helps her see that changes always happens and it’s okay. I would really like to see more on Max in these books, hopefully in the future.

Fabulous as always. A fast paced, fun and witty book. Penny still trying to get a foothold in being a vampire , dealing with a murder, and still learning to be a witch. Hilarious characters and situations. A blast to read. I recieved this book as an ARC from bookfunnel and this is my honest opinion.
