The Case of Missing Books (Summer McCloud paranormal mystery Book 6)
By: Nikki Broadwell
5 out of 5 stars
The story The Case of Missing Books (Summer McCloud paranormal mystery Book 6) by Nikki Broadwell is a supernatural mystery book. It is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning. I was turning pages to find out what would happen next. I loved how I was drawn into the mystery and intrigue of the book. I loved reading about the character of Summer. She and the other characters in the story are all unique and larger than life. Each one has their own part to play in the book. There are some characters that are helpful and others who have their own plans and will do anything to make their agenda a reality. When reading about Summer my emotions at times went up and down with hers. She finds herself caught up in a mystery that includes danger and puts her in the path of a killer. She is a character that I came to care about and wished for her to be safe and happy. I love stories that include the supernatural, so I found this story a joy to read. It has some twists and turns to it that I didn’t see coming and I found myself not wanting to put it down until I had read the final page. There are some intense scenes along with some emotional dialogue. Don’t miss out on a book that has a wonderful storyline and amazing characters. I highly recommend reading it.

The Case of Missing Books ( Summer McCloud paranormal mystery Book 6) by Nikki Broadwell is a paranormal mystery that sucked me in from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down till I the end. I read this as a standalone but I plan on going back and reading the other books in this series. This story is about some books that go missing and how they are connected to murders in town. Get ready to be taken on a ride with a few twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat. Find out what happens next I highly recommend this book.
This is a story that includes witchcraft, ghosts and hidden tunnels. The female main character is Summer. She has special “powers”. She is able to see ghosts and has visions of the past. Her new husband, Jerry, seems a little skeptical of her abilities. Which causes me to be skeptical of him.
This is not my first book by Broadwell and not the first book in this series. I had been told that it could be read as a stand-alone but I disagree. I felt like I was missing something. The connection to the characters felt forced and that may be due to their back story that I should have read about in the previous book(s). I mean really this IS book 6…With all that into consideration this story was still easy to read. There are a few eccentric characters in this story, which makes for a fun read as well.
I look forward to reading the other books in this series. I recommend you take a chance on this author but start with the first book in this series, Murder in Plain Sight.
The Case of Missing Books (Summer McCloud paranormal mystery book 6) by Nikki Broadwell is a four star read.
This is the first book I’ve read by Nikki Broadwell, and although this is book 6, it can be read as a standalone and to be honest I didn’t feel as though I’ve missed anything important, in fact it has made me want to read the other books in the series. Nikki has created such a wonderful creative story, and has some unexpected and twisted turns and I loved it.
Totally recommend this novel.
I am guilty of judging a book by its cover and I will freely admit I did just that with this book. I thought it was going to be light and breezy and it was, but I was also pleasantly surprised at the wonderfully deep story that unfolded before me. This is a tale of the supernatural unlike any I have read before with characters that swept me away and a story that kept me flipping the pages. I thought the beautiful mix of the fantastical and the reality of everyday struggles made this story seem so real to me. So much so that I could imagine this happening today in some small town. This is the sixth book in the Summer McCloud series, I have not read the others yet, but I plan to rectify that very soon.

The Case of Missing Books was a brilliant read by Nikki Broadwell. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it. I like mystery book and I also like paranormal so I thought combining the two I’m definitely going to like this and I absolutely did. The authors writing was engaging and fast paced which meant my interest was kept throughout. The blurb was intriguing and I liked that I went into knowing what to expect and I thought the story was unpredictable which again I really liked about it. The authors beautiful descriptive language created such a vivid and wonderfully magical world that I was thoroughly captivated by what I was reading. Although this was book 6 in the series I read it as a standalone however I would really love to read the other books in the series too!

This is the first time I have read this series and the first time I have read anything from this author. I will say it can be read as a standalone but I do plan now to read the rest of the series. Nikki Broadwell gave us an amazing character that you grow to care for and an amazing story line that has the twists and turns that I love. Summer is hired to help find a shelf of missing books and she is thrown into a world of darkness with a path of twists and turns which include her past. During her search she often asks herself, why are these books so important and why would someone want to steal them. During her investigation she discovers tunnel underneath that leads to many including her Tarot and Tea store. As she runs down leads, can Summer wrap her mind around escaping and that the answer could be written in the very books she is trying to find.
The Case of Missing Books is the sixth novel in the Summer McCloud series by Nikki Broadwell. This is my third novel by this author.
The title definitely caught my attention as I love reading. And I haven’t read any mysteries involving books. It made me wonder what the books were.
Summer McCloud is having hard time juggling so many things at once. Not only does her husband bring up the thought of a baby, a supernatural being in taking all of Summer’s clients. Also, she has a mystery to solve involving missing books. What do this books contain and why would someone steal them?
While this is the sixth novel in this series, this is my first novel in the series I have read. I didn’t feel very confused but I was interested in starting over from the beginning.
I recommend this to anyway looking for a paranormal mystery to read. I felt it was a great addition to the story.
This paranormal mystery – what an unexpected triumph! Broadwell does a beautiful job weaving this tale and sharing it with the reader. It is worth, detailed, realistic. I was immediately pulled into pages and submerged myself in every scene. I loved this book and am finding myself becoming quite a big fan of Broadwell. Definitely recommended!
The Case of the Missing Books: Summer McCloud paranormal mystery book 6 by Nikki Broadwell
Four Stars
It’s always difficult to believe in yourself when there are so many people trying to bring you down. Summer never wanted to be her true self and that made her weak. She didn’t really know herself and gave into the hype that normal was better. I really like this author and this story was very spellbinding. The characters were made to grow and didn’t have their life together. They were also relatable because they had similar life events that many couples face. I liked Jerry because he was skeptical of Summer’s stories but never really called her out on it.
Things I enjoyed about this story:
1. Even though it’s the sixth book in a series, I had no problem understanding it because page 1 features a list of characters and their “role”
2. The wonderful world they live in. “Why would I be upset about (my mother joining a cover)? She can do what she wants.”
3. The story moves very quickly and held my interest until “fin”.
4. Things I was angry about at the beginning resolved themselves on their won with very good reasons.
5. Tarot and Tea – what more could one want?
6. Sexy times that focus in the feelings instead of the physical.
This book carried me away and helped me escape an afternoon of adulting. It had a nice even flow and fully developed main and secondary characters.
I have added the other books in my series to my wish list.

4 Stars!!!!
Once again I am reading a series out of order but wow it didn’t make any difference. I really was drawn into this book from the get go. The author has a very unique style and it just grabs the reader. The book is full of drama and action. I really found myself drawn to the characters.
I really found myself going through the emotions with Summer as she deals with her husband Jerry’s drama and tries to figure out the case of the missing books. I really found myself drawn to Summer and routing for things to go well for her. The drama surrounding the books and the way things play out in this book really just had me at the edge of my chair wanting to see what would happen next. I really do look forward to delving more into this series and this author.
The Case of Missing Books by Nikki Broadwell is the sixth book in the Summer McCloud Paranormal Mystery Series. This book can be read as a stand-alone book and, although it would have clearly been nice to have read the others, I didn’t feel like I was missing out too much for not having done so.
This bool really grabbed my attention early. All the way through it was full of twists and turns that kept you, as the reader, fully engaged.
The main character was really interesting to read about. I really like how she came across throughout the book, which is definitely a testament to the authors work. This was a great book to read and I will definitely be looking into the rest of the series.
Holy cow! Where to start!? This book really pulled me in and just got better as it went! “The Case of Missing Books” is the sixth book in the Summer McCloud paranormal mystery series by Nikki Broadwell. This is the first book I have read in the series and was worried I wouldn’t know what is on half the time, but Nikki Broadwell does a great job making sure the book is standalone, but still a part of the series. She references events that happen in previous books, but gives enough information so you don’t get lost. She also helpfully included a character list in the beginning since this story is intense with many moving parts and people to follow. I love paranormal stories and I love mysteries so I knew
I would love this book, and I really did! I wish I had read the first five books first, but I guess I will just go back and enjoy them now! Summer is a wonderful character who is really struggling with life currently, but doesn’t let anything get in her way of doing what she knows she needs to do. I’m being vague so I don’t give anything away, but just read this book! LOVED LOVED LOVED it! Five stars!!
I give The Case of Missing Books (Summer McCloud paranormal mystery Book 6) by Nikki Broadwell, 5 stars.
Summer and her husband, who recently quit his job as a police officer, decided to open up their own private eye company. But business has been slow. When she is approached to solve a case of some missing books, she is intrigued. But it turns into so much more — murders, mystery, and the magical world all seem to play role in this case. What about Summer’s own shop? Not to mention, why is her husband acting weird? Can she solve this case or is she in over her head?
Ok, this book is a mystery involving books and the supernatural — that got my interest right there. This is the first book I’ve read in the series, so other than that, I had no idea what to expect. The story is wonderful and unique. It involves things I can’t say I’ve seen in books before. Plus there is plenty going on and it will keep you guessing until the end. Summer is a great main character too. I have to admit, her husband annoyed the heck out of me in the beginning, but trust me, there are reasons. And did I mention Summer has two cats and a dog? Such a plus!
This was a great paranormal mystery book that I highly recommended to others and cannot wait to read more of the series.

I had not read the other books in the series but after reading this I am going to go back and catch up. I really enjoyed the characters and the story. There were some twists that I did not expect and the story kept me intrigued. I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want to give any part of the story away. The writing flows well and keeps the story moving. The main character Summer is fun and interesting. She is a bit intriguing. I look forward to more adventures with Summer in the future.
Ms. Broadwell has written several paranormal mystery books and with each one is increasingly better. This holds true to The Case of the Missing Books. With a title like that I could not resist reading the story. It is filled with witches, magic, mystery, fantasy, drama, and lots of adventures. Oh, did I mention there were books that could be causing the problems. The story has a fast-moving pace that kept me on the edge of my seat. The story, for me, was exactly what the doctor ordered. The characters are interesting, and Ms. Broadwell does an amazing job of intertwining them to keep you guessing from minute to minute where the next character takes you. It is not all fun and games as Ms. Broadwell teaches us in all her books. I hope you can sit down and enjoy the fun, keep you on your toes, mystery for all time enjoyment.
The Case of Missing Books (Summer McCloud paranormal mystery Book 6) by Nikki Broadwell is an original, intriguing and unique story. I have not read the other books in the series but I enjoyed this book so much so, that I will most definitely be going back and reading them all. That being said I have read other works by Nikki and she is ever the masterful writer and she has cleverly woven this mysterious tale. With its action and adventure, murder and mayhem, magic and paranormal elements, angst and love, pain and suffering which makes it is a must read. It is at times a bit of an emotional read. I really enjoy the flow of Nikki’s writing style and ease of pace.
This should be on everyone’s to be read list.
