One of my favs of Clancy’s. Maybe 3rd on my list. Excellent read,
Classic Clancy and one if his best books ( Red October is the other i love). Fascinating in depth end of cold war thriller !!!!
Great read for these stay at home times. I really enjoyed the return of well known characters from other books.
It’s Clancy!! This is one of the first books in the Jack Ryan series and worth the time it takes to read. Personally, I love the way Clancy pulls threads from several different stories within the story to bring about a climactic ending. If you love intrigue and spy novels, get this book!
Couldn’t catch my interest
The complexity of Tom Clancy’s tales keeps one guessing and wondering what will happen next. Edge of the seat reading!
One of the best in the Jack Ryan series. Highly recommend 5 star’s
typically great tom clancy
It’s been years since I read this, but I would not miss any Tom Clancy books, they are all believable, with a hint of humor during the chaos
great understanding of the spy game in the cold war. Interesting tag in to the Russo Afghan conflict.
Confusing with too many characters
Tom Clancy at his best. A great fast moving thriller.
Too drawn out.
Good but not as much action as I expected
Clancy did it again, excellent book.
Another excellent book from Tom Clancy in the Jack Ryan series
Classic Tom Clancy, keep you reading on and on
A gripping and compelling Tom Clancy page-turner — so intriguing that you will wonder if it is based in part on a real international incident.
Very well written, a good read for “historical perspective”, as well as keeping you on the edge of your seat
If you are a Tom Clancy fan like I am, this is a must read. It is spellbinding. Very hard to put down. I kept finding myself still reading it at 2 in the morning. Because of this fact, I reread it 2 years later to see if I missed anything and I got so engrossed again that I started on a Friday night and finished it on a Sunday night. He was a great story teller and I miss his writing.
