Every family has its secrets, and the March family is no exception. Match Made in Devon has been more than just a symbol of everything magical about matrimony; it’s also a physical reminder of true love’s power to conquer all obstacles, and how perfect the March sister’s parents’ marriage really was. But for middle sister, Charlotte, the pressure to maintain her carefully cultivated public face … carefully cultivated public face of perfection is beginning to take its toll…
Charlotte is working overtime to balance home, family, and her marriage to husband Nash – and the weight of it all is more than she can handle. Nash makes it clear that something has to give, that he wants things to go back to how they used to be.
But Charlotte knows she has changed too much to simply return to being Nash’s stay at home wife. She still loves him deeply, but she needs more now. Perhaps more than Nash can give…
With their marriage on the line, there seems to be no way out of the endless circle of responsibility Charlotte has drawn for her life. Now craving freedom for herself, the only option she can see is one that could tear her own family apart.
Three women bound by fate and family will have to struggle together to redefine family and discover the raw truth where forgiveness meets love.

A very easy, face paced story. Characters are well developed with a unique and interesting storyline has you on the edge of your seat from the beginning.
The second book in the Match Made in Devon Bridal Shop series was a well-written, emotional book. Three sisters are running a family bridal shop. Middle sister Charlotte is trying to balance work, family and her marriage and her husband, Nash is pressuring her to stop working at the shop. She loves him, but she has changed since they first married. She’s craving freedom and the ability to figure out her future path. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the third book in the series.
This book is awesome! You must pay attention or you might miss an important message. I actually could relate to all three sisters based on the information provided by the author. I can only wish for a man in my life like Charlotte and Alex have. I highly recommend this book!!

The Butterfly Dream (Match Made in Devon, Book 2) by Danielle Blair is primarily the story of Charlotte and her sixteen-year-old marriage. Alex has had her baby (Maddie) and is struggling to decide if she should commit to Jonah and Freesia has been offered a position in New York as a designer. The three of them are struggling to keep their parent’s bridal shop afloat and Charlotte is in the throes of a mid-life crisis. She is making her husband, Nash, jump through hoops that he doesn’t understand and she is pushing their relationship to the max.
I really enjoyed the Bridal Shop (Book 1) but this one was almost too whiney. I know what Charlotte is going through and I know what she’s after but it’s all about her and not about her husband, her kids, or her sisters. We do see deeply into her soul and Blair has done well with that, just too much. This is women’s fiction and so is meant to delve into women’s thought processes and emotions, but it still needed editing.
I received a free ARC of The Butterfly Dream in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Extremely emotional, heart-string pulling and engaging journey filled with lots of soul searching, uncertainty and hard choices…. The sisters in this story are growing both closer and further apart as so many things change around them. A very compelling read that would not let go.
Very well written touching story about finding true self
A lot of dramatic events in the course of finding true self. Often times women around 30 or just after their birthdays want to change something in their lives. They find out that maybe how they are living currently is not what they wanted and they are trying to change their lives. It is never easy when we are in the relationship with others who always relied on us. This story ring a bell and it close to my own experience. Not the same at all but I understand what she was going through and what Nash has to endure. I enjoyed reading this story and can’t wait for the next part and hope all the sisters will find their happy places and reconcile their past so that they can be in the present.
She is the middle sister and her life is full but now her husband wants her to go back to being at home rather than do anything else. She is not sure she wants to go back to that. What will happen between them? Will their marriage survive? See if it can

I loved this book – I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. This is not a 2-or 3-tissue story – yo’;re gonna need the whole darn box. It was happy and sad and everything in between, just like real life. Charlotte’s having a mid-life crisis in her 30s, having learned about a sister she never knew, and feeling quite taken for granted by her family. I thoroughly enjoyed the story of her journey. And if Charlotte ever again decides that she doesn’t want Nash, I’ll take him – he’s a keeper for sure!
Best quote from the book – “Always touch toes at night. Even if you go to bed spittin’ mad, it’s a reminder that you’re there, that you love each other, no matter what.”

Book two in the series Match Made in Devon Bridal Shop a well-written story and I know I want to read the next book. This book centers around Charlotte’s story and her looking to find herself and where she really belongs. Nash loves his wife but is willing to let her leave in order for her to know what she wants. I can understand going through life not knowing exactly what you want like Charlotte did. I didn’t like that I felt like Charlotte kind of blamed Nash. I felt like most of the book was Nash trying to show Charlotte how much he loved her and Charlotte running away. I am glad at the very end she realized she needed to look inward and went back to Nash.

Match Made in Devon Series:
The Butterfly Dream #2 – Oh, that Alex! I still dislike her but she gave Charlotte some good advice about having an affair; don’t. This book is better than the first book of the series, but it is much darker. C drove me a little crazy with her abandonment of her husband and children, and then treating her man so shoddily when/after he jumps through all her hoops. When they married, the couple agreed what they wanted and now fifteen years later she’s reneging and leaving him in a bind, part of her making. Jonah and Nash do not deserve the treatment they receive from these two sisters; both are wonderful guys who tolerate a lot of smelly poop from these “women”.
I just hope Freesia is the better of the sisters when it’s time for her story, assuming there is a third book. The storylines are interesting, the characters are growing and a lot of problems surface. After contacting the author to review this book, I received it through Booksprout. 4*
Our Bridal Shop #1 – Our Bridal Shop – This is my first read by this author. The main character Alex ruined it for me with her continued self-destructive stupidity. There was just too much of her problems and not enough for the other two main characters. I really like the two other sisters and what all three sisters had to go through to become a family.
Several of the supporting characters did well in their roles. The old love interest could have had more background, instead Jonah was stuck too much in the background; same for the younger sister’s husband Nash. Nicely edited, except for several proper nouns being lowercase. I contacted the author to review her book and received it through Booksprout. 3*
Match Made in Devon Series end.
A really good read by a fairly new author to me. I’m really enjoying this series about the March sisters and look forward to the next book in the series.
