Feuding families, a legacy to prove and redemption… To fulfill a deathbed promise to her mother, Caitlin Neisson must face her fear of bulls to learn how to be a rodeo bull fighter in order to protect her bull riding-wannabe youngest brother. She also needs to find him a teacher before he puts himself in danger. Too bad the best man for the job is her family’s number one enemy. He has a bad … enemy. He has a bad attitude and an even worse reputation. To complicate matters, he’s sexy and she begins to suspect his bad boy reputation hides a warm heart that just might melt the ice in hers.
…there’s more at stake outside the rodeo arena
Bodie Hadley was nearly killed by a bull in a rodeo arena and carries the weight of guilt for the death of another. Can he gain redemption by helping Caitlin, a member of the family his family has been feuding with for decades? Or will the weight of additional guilt crush him if he refuses her plea?

Fantastic contemporary romance. Set on the rodeo circuit this story includes strong ranch hand alphas, family feuds and personal stories. The story is well told in an entertaining and pleasant voice. There is great drama between feuding “bull stock” family dynasties, and personal stories of redemption and recovery for two of these characters that find reason to move past their problems. I fell in love with both main characters from the start. Then came the suspense of figuring out who was causing them danger. Who is in the cross hairs of the perpetrator. How and when will these two tell their families they are involved and what will happen. I actually fell in love with the secondary characters too, they are so well written. Leah Vale is a new author for me and I’m so, so, glad I picked this up. I will look for more, this book delivers a great read!!
Sweet and sexy all in one package, with a big family of characters to keep me entertained. I do love me a hero with a scar!
The Bull Rider’s Second Chance, book #1 of the Rodeo Romeos series by Leah Vale.
Two fudeing families that were hurt even more by a tragic accident. Brodie was badly injured in a rodeo arena where Caitlin’s cousin tragically lost his life and Brodi is to blame. Brodie is tortured mentally by what happened at his last bull ride. He is constantly reminded by his scars both physically and emotionally. Catlin must face her fear after she made a promise to her mom on her death bed to protect her younger brother. An now she asking Brodie for help. But there is also someone who is targeting Caitlin, they must find out who it is before something tragic happens. Can they overcome the family’s past and find love? I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series. I would defiantly recommend to anyone who loves a good romance, cowboys and rodeo.

The Bull Rider’s Second Chance, Rodeo Romeos book one, by Leah Vale is an excellent well-written story. I read a lot of books; many of them romances, many of them cowboy romances. I have grown weary of the repeated plot lines in the rodeo setting stories. I thought this would be the same; playboy bull rider who changes after meeting the right woman. It is not. This book is different. This book is unique. And this book caught my attention, holding it until the very end.
This is a story that transcends the setting. It is a story of forgiveness, especially in forgiving oneself. It is a story of the sad side of family grudges and hatred. It is also a story of recovery, becoming better, becoming more than you thought was possible. It is also a story of attraction leading to love after the characters learn to appreciate the strong positive qualities of each other. Besides the romance there is an element of danger and suspense in the book. It is not from the bulls either, for the characters know what they are up against with them.
Bodie is a gruff, tortured, and bitter man. However, it is not because of what happened to him but because of what he feels he caused to happen to others. I wanted him to find peace for his soul and some measure of happiness in his life. Certainly Caitlin’s family did not want any of that for him. As for Caitlin, she is a ray of sunshine anytime she appears in the story. I loved this young woman, so Bodie didn’t stand a chance against her.
For a unique, amazing cowboy romance, I can recommend The Bull Rider’s Second Chance.
An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
“The Bull Rider’s Second Chance” (Rodeo Romeos Book 1) by Leah Vale is a great read. I enjoyed Brodie and Caitlin’s story. There is history between there two families so is there any chance for a future between Caitlin Neisson and Bodie Hadley. Caitlin’s younger brother Alec wants to be a bull rider and the only way that is safe is if he is taught properly all the family promise that they will train him but that is as far as it gets Caitlin knows that she is running out of time so she enlists the help of Brodie. He was once a world champion bull rider that is until a rogue bull almost killed and him and killed the bull fighter who was in the arena as well and that bull fighter was Caitlin’s cousin something her family has never forgiven and which just adds to the dramas between their families. Brodie lives with the guilt of that death every day and has never been able to move on in fact it has turned him into a surly one night stand kind of a guy. He may have made a new life for himself supplying the kind of bulls that almost killed him but is he ready to move on socially As he helps Alec and Caitlin someone is determined to stop them and has Caitlin in their cross hairs will he be able to keep her safe and in the process will he learn that love is the most powerful tool of all.

This story centers around Caitlin Neisson and her promise to her dying mother to keep her brother Alec safe because he wants to be a bull rider. Of course her whole family says they will teach Alec to ride and her to be a bull fighter but they conveniently forget so Caitlin takes matters into her own hands and asked Bodie Hadley to help her. Bodie was hurt years ago but he was the best, problem is when Bodie got hurt by the bull it killed her cousin Charlie a bull fighter so her whole family hates him. Bodie agrees because he likes her but someone is trying to stop them by putting her life in danger. Loved how Caitlin was tough enough to go on even with her fear of bulls and to see the man behind the scars. I fell in love with the characters right away.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This story by Leah Vale is a super-fun read. Loved the feuding families, the rodeo storyline, and of course the cowboys. I really liked that our heroine held her own with all the men in her family who wanted to be in charge of her life.
