This was a nice romance book. The theme was reminiscent of other books that I have read but it was still enjoyable. This is meant for mature audiences because the sex scenes were awesome.
Certain events happened in Ben’s past that turned him into a beast. Bella walks into his life and tames him. She manages to melt the ice surrounding his heart. The story is kind of like a modern day twist on Beauty and the Beast. The story is enjoyable if you are looking for a quick read.

He’s the boss and what he says goes or your out the door. But she doesn’t let him bully or intimidate her. He knows what they think of him but truly only one persons opinion matters. Forced to take over the family company after his parents accident Ben is no longer the happy go lucky person he once was. Not only that but he lost his fiancé as well. Bella is good at her job. She doesn’t let Ben walk all over her and she gives as much as she gets. She wasn’t a wilting flower that needed to be watered by a hot billionaire. The story flowed nicely toehther.
Benjamin Adams is the owner of a multimillion dollar company that he inherited after his mother and farther sadly passed away in a terrible accident. He is tough and strict with his employees. That is until Bella shows up. As she slowly breaks down his walls we get to see the man behind the mask.
This story is fast paced and easy to read. With twists and turns it’s easy to get sucked in to and leave the world around you. It’s a feel good story that will leave you satisfied. I 100% recommended it to any one that loves a good book for a rainy day.
The Brute, by Tarrah Anders, is a nicely written contemporary romance novella. A great beauty versus the beast tale with obstacles to overcome. The author stokes the fire within the story with creative dialogue and story sequences. I read this story within an afternoon, enjoying the flow within, the characters, the story line and the dialogues. Tarrah Anders created a short story with a time old tale brought to modern themes and times. It was done with finesse and ingenious chemistry surrounding the characters.

Anytime I see anything by this author I know I have to have it, I don’t even care what its about, I just know I’ll love it.
This book was awesome, it had a comfortable, feel good vibe to it, well until the twist that blew all that out of the water, which was handled beautifully because you have no reason to expect anything. I was left wanting more, which is my only negative about the book, I wanted more of these characters and this story. I loved the references to Beauty and the Beast and Bella was awesome, she was strong and feisty and I love that when going up against an all around broody alpha male such as Ben.
I highly recommend this book, it’s a quick smooth easy read, and although I mentioned it was too short, it was never rushed, it’s just that I love this author, and her characters and storylines always draw me in and Im never happy when her books end.
Awesome!!
The Brute by Tarrah Anders was another addicting read. If you’re looking for a fast-paced sexy office romance where the Beauty tames the Beast with a little revenge twisted in; this book will have you up-all-night!
Ben is the CEO of Adams Enterprises who will fire someone for just looking at him the wrong way. Ben needs a new assistant because they keep quitting on him (I wonder why). In walks Bella a small-town farmer’s daughter, but she can hold her own when it comes to Ben and she has him figured out. At Bella’s three month evaluation besides telling Bella how good she is at her job, Ben ask Bella to be his date to a Gala. This is just the beginning of their office romance…
Like I have said before about Tarrah’s books, she knows how to write some hot steamy scenes that will leave you needing a cold shower afterward. You will fall hard and fast in love with Ben and Bella; they are just so cute together and balance one another perfectly.
I’ve read and loved everything by Tarrah and this is my fave to date….. I loved all things Ben and Bella…. I think some of it maybe because Beauty and the Beast is my all time fave Disney movie EVER … Then again it could be that Tarrah is a phenomenal writer…. I’m gonna say it’s a little or a lot of both!!!!!!
This book was a nice read. I found it a nice light read. My favourite scene is in chapter 10. Not inserting any spoilers 😉
I love that Ben has a library! Any man that has a library steals my heart! Ben and Bella were such a cute couple and their story was well told.
‘Tonight is the beginning of something I can’t quite name. Tonight is he beginning of something I can’t wait to start.’
I liked the book a lot and it had a totally relatable quote in this to any book worm:
‘Regardless of the amount of pressure that I put myself on with work, I still do my best to find time to read every now and then.’
Overall, this was a very enjoyable book. This is not the first book by Tarrah and I know it wont be my last!
