Now that she has the family she so desperately wants; will she risk losing it all?
Set in the drought stricken plains of Julia Creek, North Queensland and the coastal city of Townsville this is a rural romance that will leave you asking: Will she marry the right man, for the right reasons?
The Brothers of Brigadier Station is the first in the Brigadier Station series and can easily be read as a standalone. Each of Sarah’s stories are linked so you can find out what happens to the other brothers and your favourite characters in future books.

This story kept me intrigued as to what would happen next. It’s very unpredicatible, and kept me guessing until the end.
This was my first time reading Sarah’s books, and I loved it!! I never knew what was going to happen, and I just wanted to keep reading to see what all was going on. I can’t wait to read more of the series. I loved the story of Meghan and the boys is so good!! She didn’t expect to have feelings for Darcy, Darcy didn’t expect to have feelings towards his brothers fiancee. Can they make it work? What will Darcy’s mum think?
I LOVED IT SO MUCH!!
Books based in Australia are favorites. I enjoyed learning a few new words, and shall follow this author.
Finding Love
Meghan worked as a vet nurse and got engaged to her boyfriend Lachie and was going to let his mom and brother. She felt at home on the station, but her fiancee got distant. His brother Darcy was a good guy. But in the day of the wedding she decided she couldn’t do that it.
What a fabulous beginning to the Brigadier Station series. I enjoyed it so much that I started this in the morning and finished early afternoon. The story progresses fairly quickly, but the author fills it with wonderful character development and twists and turns. Although the story threatens the reader with a frustrating love triangle, Williams never crosses dubious lines or makes any character the villain. It’s handled with respect to each character and positive resolutions. All while rendering a sweet and compelling love story. I’m in love with these brothers and can’t wait to meet Noah in the next book.
If you like my books, you’ll love this one too. Set in outback Australia, the story will captivate you and make you feel like you’ve visited the outback along with the characters.
3:00 am, and I can finally go to bed! I couldn’t stop reading til I knew everything! I had no idea this was Sarah’s first book. She’s an excellent author! I can’t say I was surprised by much, but I loved it all the same! I can’t wait for the next book in this series!
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
What a sweet read. I just adored the characters. The plot was realistic and flowed beautifully. This novel was pure romance. I am glad for the ebook as some of the words were unfamiliar to me. It was a great educational experience. I can’t wait to read more from this author especially in this series!!!!!
If you want to read a book that is all about romance and doesn’t rely on sex or foul laungage, then look no further. This tender love story is for you. Written with a dual POV to get into the characters’ mind, you won’t want to miss this. I highly recommend.
This is a heartwarming contemporary romance set at a station in the drought ridden Australian outback. The characters are well crafted with strengths and weaknesses making them engaging. The storyline is an emotional rollercoaster as the love triangle unfolds. The narrative was well done providing a great description of the harsh environment and providing insight into the thoughts, emotions and motivations of the characters. I enjoyed the emotional drama as the characters dealt with their difficult pasts and all the obstacles placed on them. I enjoyed the dialogue and character interactions. If you enjoy contemporary romances, you will enjoy this book.
This series is my first read by this author and I enjoyed all three books. I like the casual writing style blended with the good choice of characters and the interesting storylines. I always love when I can find a writer that transports me to their country as if I’m there in person. The fact this series is set in Australia grabbed my interest. The culture and customs and livestyles of this part of Oz was interesting.
The Brothers of Brigadier Station #1 – The story of Lachlan and Meghan and his brother Darcy, which also builds the history and foundation of Brigadier Station and the McGuire family. 4*
The Sky Over Brigadier Station #2 – With Meghan’s wedding approaching, brother Noah is unwilling returning to Brigadier Station after leaving ten years previously. This is his and Riley’s story, which shares more of the McGuire past. I find the work of Australia’s stations interesting, just as I do about American ranches, but was intrigued about another job that is not commonly written about in either country. 4*
The Legacies of Brigadier Station #3 – This story starts almost eleven months after Sky ends. It is Abbie’s turn to find a McGuire to love. This is my favorite of the series, where a lot of the past, the present and the future come together. Terrible things happen, but so do many wonderful things.
While all these books can be read on their own, start with the first story and see the McGuire history unfold. I found this author on Booksprout. 5*
Sweet romance that introduces us to the McGuire family
Meghan arrives at Brigadier Station as Lachie’s fiance, but spending her vacation there, with him, exposes the holes in their relationship at the same time it fans the flames smoldering between her and Lachie’s brother, Darcy. Lachie’s not really in a good space for any relationship at this time (his story is two books later) so the awkwardness of the situation is not as acrimonious as it could be.
There are the expected snags for Meghan and Darcy, along with a few unexpected ones, as they figure out how to make their future together work. It’s a well-written story with terrific characters, an engaging setting, and a complex family history that almost works as a character itself. I enjoyed this book, along with the rest of the series, and recommend it for anyone who loves cowboys, Australia’s outback, or both.
The Brother of Brigadier Station begins the Brigadier Sisters series by Sarah Williams. I had the pleasure to listen to the audio version of this book. I enjoyed how the narrator, Myles Pollard, performed this story perfectly. It did take a couple of chapters to get into , but then I was entertained all the way to the end. It was fun to visit the Australian outback.
I give The Brother of Brigadier Station four and a half stars. I can not wait to read the second installment from the Brigadier Sisters series, The Sky Over Brigadier Station. I recommend this book to other readers who love sweet romances.
I received this book the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
This is a good debut novel from Sarah Williams, and the first book in The Brothers of Brigadier Station. This is a sweet and romantic forbidden love story. The characters are great. The scenery is beautifully described. I would love to listen to the next books in the Series. Myles Pollard did a good job with the narration. He has a great voice, and a beautiful accent, but unfortunately the characters weren’t easy to distinguish.
