“I thought I knew who I was, but I was wrong.”The Silver Swan- 1. A girl who is tarnished. Tainted. One who does not fit into the confinement of legend. The Silver Swan-2. Madison Montgomery.I was lied to.I was cheated.Resigned to pick up the scraps of empty memories and disarrayed thoughts, I left. After finally cutting the strings of manipulation, I resorted to do what I’ve done since I was a … strings of manipulation, I resorted to do what I’ve done since I was a child, something my father drilled into my brain since I could handle my first rifle.
Run.
I’m a mere shadow of the girl they all knew.
Lies and deceit change you. They alter your entire outlook on life.
I’m Madison Montgomery, and I want to play a game.
Here’s what happens when I win.
Riddle me this, Mads.
What goes bump in the night,
but is something you can’t see with sight?
You may run, and you may hide.
If by happily ever after, you mean Bonnie & Clyde.

Strap up folks, cause we are back on the Amo crazy train, and I’m ready to crash right back into the delicious and devious world of those Elite’s. We’ve still got our broken heroine, grappling to find her footing in this Elite world and grasp the concept of the Silver Swan, we still have the dark and at times brutal attraction between Madison and Bishop, and we still have a bazillions secrets and twists- much of the book exposition here is unraveling all the mysteries still dangling in the ether post book 1. All we can ever rely on is that nothing is as it seems, and there are just as many lies and half-truths and secrets as there are honest revelations.
The pace isn’t quite as intense in this one, in part because Madison at times is just stubborn and because we’ve built up such a huge pile of questions that answering them feels a bit slower than I’d like- but we have lots of suspense and tension that sucks you in.
If you expect to have all the answers, or even have a clean/neat conclusion then you don’t know Amo- her worlds are not neat, they are not clean they are not even conclusive at times. That’s real- the real world is a bunch of grey. What we get is what Amo does so well- a dark and twisted world with a plot that almost seems circular it twists so much, flawed and damaged characters who resort to emotional tyranny and/or repression as they try to understand themselves and each other, and a dark, unsettling, and brutal attraction between our anti-hero and heroine. And, per usual, we’re left with more questions than answers- so on to book 3!
Also whoever does Amo’s covers needs a prize- cause they are always FIRE.
Entranced by the broken puppet! 5 stars
Wow, what an entrancing book! This book started right where Silver Swan left off, and I was entranced by this story all the way through to the end. I can’t say much about the the story without spoiling it, but Madison has run after finding out some truths at the end of Silver Swan. At first she felt lost but through this book she strengthened her backbone, and it was a beautiful thing to read. Bishop was possessive of Madi, and it may be wrong of me but it was hot! Their relationship defies definitions and boundaries, and it also strengthened in this book which made me happy. He brought out her crazy when she used to be a quiet loner, and it was entertaining to read! Bishop was “perfection wrapped in dynamite,” and they were as explosive together as ever in this book! People think Madi will be his weakness, but it was the opposite. It made him more calculated. Bishop may have tried to shield her, but when more truths are ready to be revealed what will happen? A book full of twists and turns which left me gasping and entranced that I loved and highly recommend was what happened!
This is book two in The Elite Kings Club series so make sure you read book one The Silver Swan before you read this. This story picks up right where The Silver Swan leaves off and I got sucked right into their world of secrets and legends.
Madison is running and hiding. She leaves the country with Tatum but after a few months Bishop shows up to bring her back. She is reading the book but there is still so much to discover. She knows she is The Silver Swan, but she doesn’t know what that will mean for the future.
Nate and Tillie start a relationship but she disappears and I know there is a story behind that and I can’t wait to find out.
This story will keep you captivated and constantly questioning what’s next!
The story will have you reading all the way, the characters are mesmerizing and intriguing. There is everything you always love in this kind of books that makes it a favorite, you need to start reading. I got the audiobook and I can say it was phenomenal, this is a dark masterpiece story written my an amazing author.
Wow! So now we’ve got some answers in this crazy messed up mind fuck! I loved this book and this series so far is one of my tops! It’s twisted and mysterious and a rollercoaster of crazy! I can’t wait to see what comes next!
WTF.
The rich are always privileged, even when they run. lol. I’m over here like I want to go. Pick me. The twists will come at you like shrapnel in this series. Just when I’m reading along it’s like BAM, and then you’re like wait, what?! OMG! But I’m pretty sure every example would be a spoiler. I love all of the kings, but I kept trying to figure out Brantley’s motive for his moody hatred. Yeah, I would have never guessed. It’s all weaved together well enough you don’t pick up on the hints til you’re smacked in the face with it. Nate. I still love him. And I won’t lie. I’ve never been big on character promiscuity once you’re sort of with the main character, but this one changed me. I can’t explain it. Her moments with Nate were as hot as her moments with Bishop, and I’m pretty sure her first time with Bishop was the hottest ‘first time’ I’ve read in a story to date. Not because it’s over the top or anything. I don’t know. I can’t explain it. I think it’s just Bishop lmao.
That ending! HAVE THE THIRD BOOK READY!!!!! I was waiting on a friend to finish up in the nail shop after having mine done when I got to the end of this book, and I literally started shaking it, saying ‘are you kidding me’! I’m sure I got stares lol, but I DID. NOT. SEE. THAT. COMING. I don’t even know what to say about that other than I need answers.
I was so excited to pick this up after finishing “The Sliver Swan”. This gang is insane. The beginning was so good and definitely hooked me in. The book was good but once you get into it I felt like it was kind of all over the place. So much was happening back to back without a lot time to process what just happed before boom they were jumping onto the next scene. I really like Madison and the Kings. She builds higher walls in this book and doesn’t let Bishop tear them down that easily. I like that Madison doesn’t take their shit and learns more about who the kings are. Amo Jones does know how to keep you entertained and keep you wanting more. I read this in two days. I did struggle to get through some parts but all the twists were worth it because I had to know what was going to happen next. I am excited to continue on with this series. I need to know where they all go from here especially with that cliff-hanger. This was a good book like I said I did struggle to get past some parts but I did enjoy it.
This is book 2 of the Elite King’s Club. As I mentioned in my review of the first book, there were a million questions raised and exactly none were answered. We start to get some answers in book 2 but I still don’t know what the hell is going on.
The characters are still not likable and Bishop (the anti-hero) is pretty much abusive to Madison. And yet I’m compelled to go to book 3 to see if it all comes together at the end.
I NEED TK BE ABLE TO GIVE THIS BOOK MORE THAN 5 STARS!!! Amo Jones has absolutely consumed me with this book. The second book on the Elite Kings series, The Broken Puppet is a masterful continuation of the secrets from the first book. This world just keeps getting deeper and more developed and I’m not sure I’m going to come out of it in one piece. I felt heartbreak and hopelessness. And then I would find humor and love in the raw emotion that Amo Jones his written. I don’t think I’ve ever read a book where I had to remind myself to breathe like I did with this one. I’m falling more in love with the characters as their secrets are exposed. I will definitely be shouting about this series to everyone!
Wow another powerful read in this series. Some secrets and lies are exposed but even more questions come with them. Can’t wait to keep reading , I am highly addicted to this series now
Wow I found this book to be even better than the first one. There are so many secrets and lies throughout this book. There are definitely things that are still confusing and I’m hoping we get the whole picture in the third book. I’m so glad I have the box set to move on right away. Of course that ending I still reeling over. So time to hope back into Kings country.
4.5 stars!! Ahh I knew the second book was gonna rock my world.
This is book two in “The Elite Kings” series. This can not be read as a stand alone.
Ok so book one set you up for this journey and now book two let some secrets spill. It’s all starting to come together but I still have soooo many questions.
My heart was pretty messed up this book. It broke for several reasons and then it lit up for Bishop and Madison. I am like turning a new leaf for Bishop. He is super sexy and I love him!! Madison is still bad ass and handling all this quite well. I feel like every page a new secret is revealed or a piece of the puzzle so my feelings for the characters change from page to page.
The writing was quite good in this book and flowed marvelously. I am so excited to move on to book three!!
Starting to get a bit frustrated, so many inconsistencies. I’ll have to see what the next one entails.
Ahhh The Silver Swan sucked me in and then The Broken Puppet completely hooked me!
“As alluring as a floating swan, but as deadly as a silver bullet.”
Just when you think you are kind of figuring out what’s going on and some of the secrets are being revealed… BOOM! You have no idea how much more there is still to learn.
The mystery of The Elite Kings and Madison Montgomery continues. We now know that Madison is the Silver Swan and what that means…
“We’ve all lost our mind, baby, but that’s how we all found each other. We’re all lost, but we’re all lost on the same road.”
I tried you guys, I really, really did but I can’t even put all this fuckery into words.
These books must be read in order, so go grab The Silver Swan and just start reading!
AGAIN, I would give way more then 5 stars if I could, highly recommend.
P.S- I think I’m kind of in love with Amo Jones you guys…
72% DNF … I could force myself to continue reading BUT I won’t.
IDK if I’ll finish it one day. That day is not today. I’m at a point where I don’t really care what happens to these characters. I feel the story is ALL OVER THE PLACE
This series just gets better and better and now I just want to stay up longer and find out what happens in the third installment. Who needs sleep, anyway? Sleep is for the dead.
I’m literally running on ONE hour of sleep as I write this. I stayed up the night before to read The Silver Swan and have forced myself to stay awake just to finish The Broken Puppet because I refused to go to bed without knowing how it ended. In the process, I managed to drop my phone twice on my face. Twice! Somehow I managed to harness the power to stay awake and push through the fog and finished reading The Broken Puppet and am so glad I did! It was worth all the lack of sleep, that’s for sure.
The Broken Puppet hooked me from the very first page and once I started flipping page after page, I did not want to stop. There are so many secrets and lies that surround the The Elite King’s club but those very secrets and never-ending lies are what make this story addicting.
Everyone has secrets in this book but no one wants to tell, especially not Bishop, the most reserved of them all. Bishop is the epitome of dark and broody and is the one who makes Madison’s heart race most but don’t be fooled because there are others who get Madison’s blood pumping and I don’t know about you but I love me a good love triangle or square. I won’t spoil which one it is, but what I will say is that it added some really heart racing moments that left me yearning for more. *swoons*
This book is steamy AF, suspenseful, intense, and sometimes even a bit confusing but don’t worry, it will all make sense in the end. Just enjoy the crazy ride and let yourself be consumed by the boys of The Elite King’s club. They’re a scary bunch but if you just let your walls down a tad, you’ll see that there is more than meets the eye.
If you’ve read this far, I really hope you take a chance on The Broken Puppet and the series as a whole. I started the series two nights ago and am about to deprive myself of more sleep just so I can start the third book and I’m not even the least bit sorry. #aintnorestforthewicked
If you can’t already tell, I’m seriously addicted to this series and cannot get enough of it, and I hope you all love it as much as I do because I am hooked. No if’s, and’s or but’s about it. Do yourself a favor and start this series ASAP! It’s worth it, I promise!
This is book 2 in the Elite Kings series, and I devoured it in one day. I thought I knew what to expect and the way the book was going to turn, but I was no where close. The secrets keep coming and the twists just get better.
Some of the scenes were a little confusing and others made me fall in love with these characters so much more. The confusion is worth it though.
The thing you need to remember while reading is that this book is fictional and not all scenes portray events that occur in an average school or with teenagers. However, I think that is what makes the story that much more intriguing.
Wow, I could NOT put it down!
Madi and Bishop are back for more! First I thought Madi and Tatum might have made good their escape to NZ. But when Madi receives a text she knows is from Bishop on her burner phone, she and Tate compound their problems by fleeing to Bristol. This has the added bad fortune of pissing Bishop off, putting the girls in further danger, and bringing them closer to The Hamptons for the return flight.
This book feels like a cross between the movie Scream, and something only Alfred Hitchcock could dream up. Amo Jones has succeeded in being one of the few writers to combine murder, mayhem, and romance successfully. And man! She scares the pants off me!!
We finally find the man that hurt Madi (and many others) throughout her childhood, and figure out why Brantley detests her like he does. But for each question answered their are a dozen more begging to be answered.
Why is Bishop so angry? Why does he do the things he does? Why would Brantley deliver Madi to Hector? Is Madi’s father with her, or is he in cahoots with The Kings?
The end is a massive cliffhanger much like the first, and I’m incredibly thankful to have Tacet A Mortuis waiting on my kindle already. When I get over my fear of opening it.
An excellent book, with some burning HOT sexy times, and enough spine tingling fear to make sure you’re locked up tight in your house before you begin the game. Because in the end, I’m afraid it’s all a game and I don’t know who I want to win.
What can I say I’m loving this series it’s totally screwing with my head but in such a good way you can never see what’s coming every time you think you’ve figured it out guess what yep you were wrong .
Fast paced ,exciting edge of the seat gripping kind of book !!!!!!!
This series is the biggest mind f ever! Seriously, that end!! What!
This series has me so enamored, so captivated, so flipping intrigued! All I want to do is read more and more, as much as I possibly can.
This book is dark, it’s cryptic, it’s alluring.
I LOVE the progression of Bishop and Madison’s relationship. To slowly start to see Bishop break down his walls and let Madison in. And see Madison grow strong and more sure of him. Of course, their relationship certainly isn’t without it’s faults and heartaches, but they’re growing together.
The twists and turns of this book never seize to amaze me. I’m always guessing, always on my toes, always wanting more.
So flipping good!
