The Brotherhood Series comes to a close with one final story: The Broken Kind. A simple rescue mission for Beryl’s niece, Blair, turns Kip’s carefully balanced world upside down. She’s been held against her will for months leaving her physically and mentally battered. Kip is determined to finish what Blair started when she went undercover, but she’s just as determined to help. Kip finds peace … finds peace from his own demons when she’s around— which is both terrifying and freeing. He knows it’s selfish to crave her closeness because Blair has her own healing to do. Even still, her chaos calls to his own in a way that only someone as broken as him would find beautiful.
She’s the kind of woman whose strength, beauty, and intelligence would make a man go to war.
He’s the kind of man that stays in the dark because the light of the world doesn’t want him around.
Can love unite two tired, desperate souls or will it only exist as a catalyst to their own self-destruction? The odds are against them in this romantic suspense, but shouldn’t love be able to conquer all?

Each book is different to the next but flow together so well due to the characters and this book is probably my favorite of all. Kip fights his demons every day and keeps moving and working so as to not dwell on how he isn’t worthy of anyone or anything, however things are about to change whether he likes it or not. Blair has got sass, determination and well hell of a strong determination and after everything she has been through she needs to see things to the end much to Kips and other chagrin. This book has heartbreak, hope, alpha men, strong women and plenty of twists and surprises that leaves you guessing who to trust and will they all be alive at the end. I would read this book again in a heart beat as I loved it soo much so I really really hope maybe the series can be expanded on with new characters as I really really don’t want it to end!!!!!
Sometimes there’s a story that makes you want to wrap up the main characters and just love up on them. This is one of those. Kip battles his demons one mission at a time. Unfortunately that’s his only way of being. With his demons chomping at his heals he goes off to add a friend. I love the way this author plays this out. The characters and their fate just draw you in and take you places no human should go. It’s all hands on deck as these men and women go to battle for one of their own. It may be the battle of his life because Kip can’t separate himself and his demons wont let him rest. She may see him in a way no one else can but even a strong woman knows when to set him free. It’s more than a battle of wills it’s the battle for their sanity. The love, friendship, dedication may not be enough to save him this time.
I found this to be a very intense story and am glad the author didn’t go into a lot of graphic detail about what happened to Blair while she was undercover. Kip doesn’t feel he is worthy of a relationship with a woman due to the demons he continues to struggle with. But after he rescues Blair and they spend more time together, he starts to feel a calmness when near her.
While Blair is dealing with what she went through while being held, she wants revenge and no one is going to stop her from helping in the investigation. There are many surprises in this book that keep you on the edge of your seat.
I loved this series and will miss the characters. The stories show that you don’t have to come from the same parents to be considered family.
Love, Life and Loyalty! A love story like no other! Ashley @ Carolina Chic’s Read
The Brotherhood series is one I love and Kip might just be my new favorite brother! Kip does what he does best and helps find and extract the ones who need help! Kip goes in for Beryl’s niece Blair and comes out with so much more! The chemistry between Kip and Blair is off the charts and will have you turning the pages and staying up all night! The twist and turns keep coming as only Andrea knows how to do. I can’t wait to see what the next series for Andrea will be!!!!
First I have to say that I have loved each and every book in The Brotherhood and The Broken Kind was a perfect book to finish this series. I only wish we would one day get another story from all the characters because you become so endeared to them that you just want more of all of their fierceness and protective and loving natures.
Now, Kip and Blair. What do you say about two characters that are so perfect for each other. It is a little maddening that it takes a terrible situation to bring them together but the author knows best and Andrea Bills did a fantastic job with their stories. This was not an easy story to read but the healing involved was good for both of them. And everything opened their eyes to each other. Plus we get to see more of our favorites from The Brotherhood. Well done to Andrea Bills!
