This book was great. Well written and hard to put down.
This is the second book I have read by Ms. Queen and it was another great read. It is a second chance sweet romance and I was captivated from the very beginning all the way through. This story definitely pulls at your heartstrings. Ava and Adam have been friends since they were teenagers, and Ava has always secretly been in love with him. After leaving town years ago, Adam comes back to attend a wedding. Ava must once again deal with her feelings for him. I love small town romances and this one really fit the bill. The characters were wonderful and you can’t help but fall in love with them and root for their HEA. If you like sweet, small town romances, you won’t want to miss this one!

Interesting with good descriptions.
This is the fourth book in the Wedding Series/Pecan Grove books that I have read. Although not listed as part of the Wedding Series, The Brides of Pecan Grove takes place in the same town in Texas and a few of the characters do overlap. Each is a sweet romance in a small town made up of fun characters. This particular story involves Ava and Adam. They were best friends as teenagers – until Adam suddenly leaves town without a word. There has been no correspondence for eight years. Now, Adam is back in town for a wedding and Ava owns the flower shop that is hired for the wedding. They are thrown together due to circumstances and the “angst” of the story ensues.
I am all for small town romance stories and childhood crush romance stories, but this one was a little far fetched. **SPOILER** They haven’t seen each other for eight years, they were never boyfriend/girlfriend back in high school, they have never kissed… and yet, each is the love of the other’s life? Hmmm,
I enjoy Natasha Queen and will read more of her stories, but this one just didn’t wow me.

I flove Ava’s sass and her attempts to keep her distance from Adam but boy that is a losing battle, you get her disdain for wanting to be around him but can also see there is more to him. There are characters you love ie Marcus’s bride Minnie and Ava’s best friend Katie and they add to the great read and have you wanting more when you get to the end, fortunately there is the Wedding Series to jump into next!!

A good clean story, fun characters, small town atmosphere with some big city life thrown in, true feelings finally spoken out loud, while planning n preparing a high school friends wedding.
Dust yourself off and punch Love in the face
Oh to get a second chance with the one you love. That was in this book after losing the love of your life that just up and desert you. Breaking your heart and trying your best to get over him. Ava tried but could not manage to get over Adam totally. She went on with her life. Opening a flower shop and thinking that she put the past behind her. Now Adam is back and walks into her flower shop. Adam goes out of his way to think of things to do to keep coming around Ava. Ava doesn’t want to go thru the heartache that Adam caused her before. Will she take him back? Is there a future for these two? Love this book. Its one of those books that keep you up at night trying to find out if she will take him back. Great Job Natasha

This was the first book that Natasha Queen has written and while one can see that, the baseline for the story is very good. I liked that Ava really made Adam work to get her to even consider him an acquaintance, much less a friend, and the possibility of anything more than that was not going to ever happen…or so Ava thought that was what she wanted anyway! I did feel that the ending was too abrupt and we were left with a maybe HFN rather than an assured HEA that could be visualized by the reader. I am pleased to say that in her future books Ms. Queen has grown considerably and has shown good improvement in those areas. This is a sweet, completely clean romance.

This was a sweet and heartfelt second chance romance
The main characters… Adam and Ava were wonderful. You actually got invested in the two of them.
Loved the sassy banter between them and the fact that this book felt very flirty.
Can Ava overcome her feeling of hurt and give them a second chance at a future they both want.
Great read

It is so nice to read a story without sex scenes or bad language. I really liked Ava and Adam and kept hoping that they could reignite the flame that had once burned in their hearts. It is so sad when a simple misunderstanding is allowed to go unresolved for a period of years. The story of their re-acquaintance is set against the background of preparations for Adam’s best friend’s wedding. I highly recommend this entertaining book to you, to your granddaughter, and to your grandmother.

Ava Hartstock and Adam Brandt were long-time friends in Pecan Grove, Texas. Ava had been in love with Adam since their teen years and had thought they might deepen the relationship. So when he disappeared with no word, her heart was broken.
Years later, Ava is devastated to see Adam walk into her florist shop with his best friend who is getting married. Adam had come back to attend the wedding, and Ava was hired to provide the flowers. Seeing her, Adam realizes he still cares and can’t stop thinking about her. Agreeing on a temporary truce for the sake of the wedding, Ava tries to keep him at arms-length because she also never stopped loving him but is far more careful of her heart now. Will she give him a second chance? Will he convince her that this time he wants forever?
The story line is good, and the characters are portrayed very well which makes them more realistic. I would have given Adam a much harder time just because he left with no word and never got in contact with her. But the two of them still have feelings. Grab your copy and see if Adam will give up and walk away again.
This is my second book I have read by Natasha Queen and was another great read. It is a second chance sweet romance and it kept my attention throughout the whole book. Ava is the local florist and has loved Adam since she was a teenager. When Adam shows up one day at her shop all the old feelings come back again, but she is still mad at how he just left town years ago. You’ll have to read this book to see if they settle their differences or not.

A sweet second chance romance …Charming & disarming but a tad tame for me. Not that it wasn’t well written but a little bit of sizzle & passion would have been good. If you like sweet & tentative, this will fit. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
‘The Brides Of Pecan Grove’ is a small town sweet romance by Natasha Queen. I love how easy to read Queen’s books are and how each character is quirky, relatable and how the characters of Pecan Grove intertwine in each other’s stories.
The book is about a second chance romance between Ava a florist who is trying to make a success of her business. When an old classmate requests her services, she is hesitant as he is the best mate of her old flame and heartbreaker Adam Brandt.
Adam is a successful businessman who upped and left Pecan Grove to the Big Apple without looking back, leaving Ava devastated and left to pick up the pieces of her broken heart. But weddings can have a way of uniting people, but unfortunately for Adam, Ava is not easily swayed and he needs to try and break down her barriers.
The book is easy to read with wonderful characters, and way in which Queen writes romance is slow burn with lots of tension and chemistry. It can be read as a stand-alone and is an ideal pick me up, feel good read.
Second chances are often not easy to negotiate. Ava and Adam were best friends and were about to take it a step further when he left town as she waited for him to meet as agreed. In the years since he never contacted her and now he’s back and thinks she should be ok. His excuse are just that.
She irritated me with her wish washy, on again off again with him. I can never understand these second chance stories where the wronged person is too easily manipulated.
The writing was good and the stories characters where interesting. I even read the next book of the series.

I liked this relatively short book about a second chance at true love. This author draws you in with excellent writing: the small town quirks, interesting, likeable characters whose stories are slowly revealed to the reader, humor, angst and an HEA. I’ve liked other books I’ve read by Natasha Queen and this one is no different. Recommend! 🙂

I loved this book I am hooked.
This sweet second chance romance will pull at your heart strings. It gives you all the feels it has drama, angst, second chances and second thoughts. Ava and Adam have always been friends since they were teenagers. Only Ava loved him secretly since then that was until Adam left town taking her heart with him. Ava picked up the broken pieces and swore off men as she went to college. She feels that she is doing good at it that is until he ends up in her life again he comes blowing back in and makes her second guess warding off men especially Adam. After all these years Ava struggles to fight her feelings for him. Picking up the pieces of her shattered heart wasn’t easy. Marcus hires Ava to be the florist for his up coming wedding and she agrees when he walks in with the contract Adam is in toe. Ava realizes this isn’t going to be easy but her and Adam agree to be civil for their friend. But is Ava truly over Adam can they rekindle and make this work?. I recommend this book by Natasha loved this second chance romance.
Loved this story with Ava and Adam. Sometimes the pst seems overwhelming and impossible to get over but then you find you can’t live without the one you love.

I have read several books by Natasha Queen and I have loved each one. This one is no exception. A beautiful story with amazing characters, very emotional. A bit too short though, I would have liked an epilogue.

Ava had been in love with Adam as a teenager until he left 8 years ago. Ava has not recovered from this heartbreak but had since opened up a florist shop in her hometown. Marcus, Adam’s best friend was getting married and hired Ava to do the flowers. She needed the money so she took the job but hoped she wouldn’t have to interact much with Adam when he returned for the wedding. Would the couple be able to reunite at the wedding or would Ava be able to forget her past love?
This was a fun story to read and well written. I would recommend this relatively quick read.
