I love the Jane Henry’s darker books– so delicious!
This story was intense, steamy, and full of page-turning suspense! Jane Henry never disappoints in delivering us a tale that we devour all too quickly! If you’re looking for a dedicated, delicious bad boy, then look no more! Can’t wait to gobble up more stories by this author!
A deliciously twisted dark romance for those who like their stories with dark edges. Jane Henry’s story delves into established and familiar tropes, but is made to feel new again by her beautiful writing and gripping storytelling. I had a craving for dark romance with an abduction plot and this story delivered above my expectations.
Extra points for audio narration by Wen Ross. That man’s voice is dripping with sex and his Russian accent for the hero was amazing!
I’d give this more than 5 stars if I could!
The Bratva’s Baby
Wicked Doms
By: Jane Henry Author
Narrated by: Wen Ross
In the mood for a dark listen? A Russian accent? A beauty and a beast type tale? This one is the perfect listen. Jane Henry has written a fast paced, dark yet passionate story. Give me a Russian mafia, romantic suspense book and I am happy. Sadie and Kazimir’s story is a slow burn, yet sexually charged. Kazimir, a Bratva enforcer, abducts meek librarian, Sadie with the intent of marrying her for her money. Sadie has no idea her past, and cannot understand why she has been whisked away to Russia and is being held captive. And being trained. And falling for her captor! Kazimir is an alpha male, always dominant and I just love him. From the first time I met him in the story, I was hoping for a rough exterior with a teddy bear heart. But you just never can tell with these men! Sadie who seemed timid turns out to have quite the spirit, but when it comes to Kazimir, will she submit? Not for those that don’t enjoy some BDSM, spanking and erotic scenes, but I found it so well written, and passionate, I was completely captivated. This is Jane Henry’s best book to date and I can’t wait for the next one!
Choosing a narrator who can pull off a Russian accent is not the easiest thing to do, but Wen Ross was the perfect choice. His accent, his inflection and his delivery was so good, I could not stop listening. This is one of his best performances that I have listened to and look forward to his continuation of the series!

This is the first book by Jane Harvey that I have had the pleasure to enjoy and most definitely will not be my last. I loved how the characters and story seemed to mend perfectly.
Kazimir and Sadie were damaged from their pasts but managed to come together as a loving couple. Sadie is kidnapped and taken to another country with no idea of why. Kazimir is loyal to his boss but after awhile Sadie gets under his skin. This is a dark, delicious, sexy read that I enjoyed to the last page.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving a review.
This is the first book by this author that I have read. I found the story caught my attention from the beginning and held my interest to find out what would happen to these to broken people. I loved following Sadie and Kazimir’s story and look forward to reading more by this author. A definite must read for those who love Mafia romance.
This story is absolutely amazing. I love every single minute. Kazimir and Sadie are a dynamic couple. From page one until the end has you completely captivated. The journey they go on is one to remember. The writing and flow of this book is remarkable. I absolutely recommend this book.
This book is fast-paced from the beginning, I couldn’t put it down because I had to know what happened to Sadie. She is abducted by Kazimir and swept off to Russia where Kasimir is a high-ranking member of Dimitri’s Bratva. Sweet, virginal Sadie is out of her depth with Kasimir that dolls out punishments like candy. He is supposed to abduct Sadie on Dimitri’s orders, marry her and then get rid of her but along the way Kasimir falls for her. A feisty and sassy woman hides under Sadie’s shy librarian exterior. She even comes to crave Kasimir’s punishments. I love how their story evolves as the characters develop and express their feelings towards each other. It is a dark mafia read so if any person has triggers to kidnapping in BDSM content it’s not a read for you, but I loved it and I highly recommend this book. I can’t wait for the series to continue!!
I freaking love Jane Henry. I have yet to read anything that hasn’t been a hit. Bratva’s Baby is a little more than I am used to, Jane brings out her darker side with this book and I LOVED it.
This story has everything you could ever want with a mafia read. Dark, disturbing, alpha male, sweet innocent girl who finds a way to grow up and make it through everything that is thrown at her, a big bad guy, and finally really freaking hot sex! I have to say this will be a reread book for me and I am hoping a paperback comes out to purchase. If you read any of Jane’s books make sure it is this one!
Tantalizing, Sensuous, & Dark. An Enticing & entertaining BRATVA romance A stunning MUST-BUY!
Author Jane Henry’s newest novel, “THE BRATVA’S BABY,” is a dark tale including kidnapping, dubious consent, danger, and a wedding that no one wants, yet it is one of the best Bratva (Russian Mafia) stories I have ever experienced. Yes, experienced! Readers do not merely read a Jane Henry novel as the webs her words weave pull readers so far into that story that for its duration, readers become invested and a part of the story. So descriptive is her prose, readers will feel, smell, hear and experience to such an extent that pages will nearly turn by themselves. Using dual narration, Henry builds reader empathy for her well-developed characters with sheer artistry, introducing some extremely damaged and a-social individuals in a manner that paints them as nearly acceptable, even likeable, and hoping for a better future. In “THE BRATVA’S BABY,” Sadie starts out as the stereotypical, mousy, plain-Jane (no relation to the author) yet through the course of events becomes a heroine with the kind of strength she had never imagined for herself. While character-centered and action-packed, the plotlines within “THE BRATVA’S BABY” are both complex and compelling as Henry ratchets up the tension with her amazing prose. It is an emotional roller-coaster that while at times is totally cringe-worthy, “THE BRATVA’S BABY” kept me glued to its pages until the story ended. If you are under the age of 18 or one for whom kidnapping or dubious consent is a trigger, then move on. For those willing to take a plunge into a murky pool that illustrates the redemptive and redeeming influence of love, then “THE BRATVA’S BABY” is your next purchase! I voluntarily read a copy of “THE BRATVA’S BABY” and this is my honest voluntary 5+STAR review. “THE BRATVA’S BABY” is going into the FAVORITES collection on my Kindle because it is going to be read again! I STRONGLY suggest you purchase your copy of “THE BRATVA’S BABY” today! Happy pages!
This is the 1st book in the Wicked Doms series and if you don’t like some darkness in your books-this one won’t be for you! Kazimir has been instructed to kidnap, marry, and then dispose of a woman named Sadie. And once he has kidnapped her, he will train her to be exactly what he wants his woman to be. Regardless of the fact that he doesn’t plan to keep her. Sadie had a rough upbringing and tends to stay to herself and dresses in ways to hide. She knows nothing about an inheritance or even really about men. But she is drawn to Kazimir. Right up until he takes her. Now she has to decide whether to truly let herself fall for this man or to trust what she has been told.
I really liked this one! There are darker elements but in my opinion, it just made the book even better! Kazimir is definitely this brooding character that even though he does wrong, you can’t help but fall in love with him. Sadie is definitely submissive, sometimes a little too much for me. That is the only reason I gave this book 4 stars instead of 5. On a whole I did like her, I just felt like she was just a little too accepting. The narration on this one? Absolutely amazing!! I loved Wen Ross’s voice and accent in this book and he definitely brought the characters to life for me in a way I wasn’t expecting but absolutely loved! That husky rasp? Sends shivers right down your spine! I definitely won’t be missing the rest of this series!
I think this is a great starter book if you’ve ever been interested in reading a dark/taboo romance. There are actually some pretty tender moments and it avoids the darkest elements of the genre. it’s pretty easy to root for this couple.
The Bratva’s Baby: A Dark Mafia Romance is the first book in the Wicked Doms Series and the first book that I have read by Jane Henry. I have been wanting to read one of her books and thanks to having this book on Kindle Unlimited I was able to start reading!
And, it’s off to a great series! I loved reading The Bratva’s Baby. Kazimir is a brigadier in the Russian Mafia. He was saved when he was a kid by the head of the Russian Mafia Now he must marry in order to get Sadie’s inheritance only there is a twist after they marry.
I will be reading more of Jane Henry’s books! I loved Kazimir & Sadie’s story.
I’m a huge fan of Jane Henry and this was certainly an interesting start to the Wicked Dom series. Kazimir and Sadie were interesting characters with compelling back stories. The story moved very quickly, at times almost too quickly. I got a slight case of whiplash with the speed of the last few chapters. It was certainly a page turner and I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.
I am voluntarily reviewing an Advance Reader Copy of this book
This new Dom series by Jane Henry is darker than I’ve read from her before, but OMG is it amazing!!! There’s dubious consent in the beginning but as only Jane Henry can do, she’s built a strong, loving, and sexual relationship between Kazimir and Sadie that will absolutely take your breath away. Can you fall in love with a bad guy? Let Jane Henry show you how. This is probably one of her best books to date in my opinion. Great job!
I’m voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
Worth more then he originally thought
How quickly this dark alpha’s tune changes when he actually gets his prey under his control, or at least the illusion of his control. This lady might be content to stay in the shadows, but she is no shrinking violet. I love how she brought out the softness in her man and how he will go to the ends of the earth to bring them back together. This was a fantastic book! The author drew me in with the blurb and I stayed for the story. It is full of the danger, heat and romance that I crave in my contemporary romances and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the series is like.
When Jane Henry sets out to write a dark romance, she sure makes sure that she meets her goal. Bratva’s Baby was all that I could’ve hoped for and even more.
So, Sadie is a quiet librarian who is pretty sure that she will never be in a relationship with a man, and then Kazimir shows up. He’s quiet and handsome and when he takes her out to dinner, he makes her feel special. And then, she wakes up, and she’s definitely not in Kansas anymore, she’s on her way to Russia. She doesn’t know it, but Kazimir has definite plans for her. Very definite plans.
OK, I was totally torn on Kazimir through about the first half of the book. I couldn’t decide whether I hated him or liked him, or liked to hate him, or hated to like him. Or… I dunno. I mean I liked him and then sometimes he would just be a giant prong. I understand his motivation and why he was the way he was. I also think he might’ve been a little naive about some things as well, which is odd to say considering who he is. Maybe not naive, but blind. I do like Sadie. She’s pretty torn on Kaz herself, but she isn’t afraid to let him know what’s what, at least in the beginning.
I really enjoyed the entire story and wouldn’t mind finding out more about them later on.
The Darker Side of Jane!
“The Bratva’s Baby” is the first release in Jane Henry’s latest series “Wicked Doms” and slightly darker than the authors usual story-line. “The Bratva’s Baby” incorporates elements of the Russian mafia, kidnapping, murder, real-life monsters and nuances of dubious consent. Professionally written and thoroughly engaging with complex characterizations, “The Bratva’s Baby” takes readers on a journey from the depths of despair, to the height of passion and eventually unconditional love. The antihero is a perfect blend of both danger and dominance with enough redeeming qualities to draw you in but with a touch of trepidation. The heroine is a completely sympathetic character who is rational with actions and reactions that are believable as well as genuine. Fast-paced, the story flows seamlessly, filled with suspense and plenty of erotic heat. “The Bratva’s Baby” is the perfect introduction into darker romance for those who might be wary of some of the more austere entries within the genre. Additionally, “The Bratva’s Baby” is a standalone novel with both protagonists POV. I’ll be stalking Ms. Henry impatiently until the next “Wicked Doms” release!

I enjoyed this story immensely. A dynamic and moving story of redemption and love. The characters are well written and well developed. The story has a dark core but there is also hope. Kazimir only knows one thing, Dimitri and his brothers. Sadie is an innocent in everything. The two together are fireworks. Loved the ending.
