He’s the total package. Except … Eric Miller isn’t looking for a long term relationship. And he definitely isn’t thrilled when a friend signs him up for The Boyfriend Experience app behind his back. It’s not like he has a problem getting women on his own. But when he gets a notification that someone is in need of his . . . services, he’s intrigued enough to check out her profile and can’t resist … enough to check out her profile and can’t resist the sexy, sassy little brunette who only wants him as a decoy for a family event.
Evie Bennett needs a boyfriend, stat. Someone who can accompany her to her family reunion so she doesn’t have to explain that she’s been recently dumped. Again. She’s perfectly happy being an independent woman, but what’s a girl to do when her new fake boyfriend starts to feel like the real deal?

The Boyfriend Experience is the first book in this new series.
I love reading both authors books separately but, when they get together to write you know it’s going to be a HOT and Sexy read with a very good story!
This is Eric Miller & Evie Bennett’s story. This book is the epitome of a good romance story and I LOVED it! Eric’s friend signs Eric up on his new app “The Boyfriend Experience” without asking him if he wanted to be signed up. Evie needs a “fake” boyfriend for a family get together so she doesn’t have to explain that she was dumped again.
Eric isn’t looking for long term relationships. He of course thinks his reason is good as to why he doesn’t want to be in a relationship. Evie is happy being an “independent woman”. Let’s just say the chemistry between Evie and Eric is off the wall good.
The ending brought on chills and happy tears. As I said earlier but, it is worth repeating I LOVED this book! 5 romantic stars for me!
THE BOYFRIEND EXPERIENCE is the first instalment in Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde’s contemporary, adult THE BOYFRIEND EXPERIENCE erotic, romance series, a spin-off from Erika Wilde’s Tall, Dark and Sexy series. This is twenty-nine year old, Prestige Car Service owner Eric Miller, and salon stylist Evie Bennett’s story line. Eric was first introduced in Tall, Dark And Tempting. You do not have to read the previous series to understand or comprehend The Boyfriend Experience.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Eric and Evie) THE BOYFRIEND EXPERIENCE follows the building but fake relationship between twenty-nine year old, Prestige Car Service owner Eric Miller, and salon stylist Evie Bennett. Evie needs a ‘boyfriend’ for her family reunion but when her friends suggest the dating app ‘The Boyfriend Experience, Evie never expected anything beyond a business proposal. Enter Prestige Car Service owner Eric Miller, and the man with whom Evie will fall in love. What ensues is the ‘fake boyfriend’ relationship between Evie and Eric, and the potential fall-out as Eric doesn’t do relationships or fall in love.
Evie Bennett’s last two relationships ended in disaster but meeting Eric Miller gave Evie thoughts about a future, a future that would never be. Eric Miller doesn’t do long term relationships yet Evie Bennett stirs something in Eric he long thought buried and died.
The relationship between Evie and Eric begins as a business arrangement. Eric had no intentions of ever using the ‘Boyfriend Experience’ but when his best friend and app developer Dylan Stone signed him up without his knowledge, Eric took a gamble and fell in love. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
The secondary and supporting characters are colorful and familiar including Leo and Peyton, Aiden and Daisy, Dylan and Serena from the author’s Tall, Dark and Sexy series. We are introduced to Dylan’s mother Ginny Miller; Evie’s brother Garrett , his boyfriend Aaron, and their parents Lauren and Gene Bennett; Evie’s cousin Raquel and her fiancé Graham.
The world building focuses on the back stories and histories of our leading couple. Evie struggles to find a man worthy of her love; Eric fears the future isn’t always what everyone expected.
THE BOYFRIEND EXPERIENCE is a story of family, loss, moving forward and letting go of the past. The premise is engaging, entertaining and fun; the characters are sexy, sassy and energetic; the romance is fated and hot. Another wonderful romance story from Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde.
Evie owns a hair salon with two of her friends. She found out her boyfriend was cheating but she was the other woman. It’s almost time for her family reunion and she doesn’t want to go by herself. She signs up to be a tester for an app for finding a fake boyfriend. Eric runs a car service company with his friend. He gets a notification from the boyfriend app. One of his friends snuck and added his profile to it. He meets Evie and decides to help her out. He has never had a long term girlfriend and doesn’t plan on it now. But his plans go out the door, the longer they are together, the harder he falls. Eric still doesn’t want a relationship even though he’s fell for Evie. Will he overcome his fears and go after the woman he loves?
Great story. Sex. Crazy parents. A cousin who’s a witch. Two people not looking for love but find it. A little funny and a little sad. I love when these two ladies write a book. You know it’s going to be a winner.
* Voluntarily read and reviewed this for the author *
I read an advanced copy of this book for an honest review.
Evie seems to have bad choice in men, infact her last “boyfriend” made her the other woman and when Evie found out she dumped him.
She has to go to her family reunion and she doesn’t want to go alone, so that everyone pities her. Her friend suggests she be a Beta tester for a new app called “The Boyfriend Experience”
Eric is a real Player. He won’t stay with a woman after the conquest. He has no idea, that as a joke, his friend, who devoloped the app, put him on it, until he gets “pinged”. His friends triple dare him to meet the woman who wants to meet him.
When these two meet the sparks fly. The tension and chemistry is so hot that my kindle almost melted.
What starts out as weeknd experience turns into so much more when vulnerabilites are revealed on both ends.
The sex scenes are super hot and steamy and there is a HEA
What an emotional and beautiful story. Simply magical. Seriously. I loved everything about this story. Eric and Evie were absolutely wonderful characters individually but together they were adorable, fun, and totally hot! I love a sexy, hot story that can also make me smile and cry at the same time. The Boyfriend Experience definitely gave me all the feels. I have no more words. Absolutley my new favorite story by this dynamic duo. A must read for sure. Can’t recommend it enough.

5 star review The Boyfriend Experience (The Boyfriend Experience #1) by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde
Eric Miller isn’t looking for a long term relationship, in fact he doesn’t believe in them at all thanks to his past. He is a firm believer in the love them and leave them philosophy.
Evie Bennett is in dire need of a boyfriend to accompany her to her family reunion. Evie is a feisty and independent woman who I loved. She just cannot stand the thought of attending the reunion on her own after she is dumped by her boyfriend. Evie’s co workers suggest she use a new app called The Boyfriend Experience and she completes the questions and waits to see the choices she is given.
Eric has no idea that a friend has signed him up to The Boyfriend Experience app and is far from happy when he finds out. However when Evie chooses Eric’s profile he is intrigued and decides not to dismiss it out of hand.
This was a fun read, well written with the writing is so seamless that I have no idea where one author finished and the other took over. The characters are great and the chemistry between Eric and Evie was scorching; not to mention the secondary characters were awesome and I hope to read more about them in the future.
I do believe that Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde has another winning series on their hands.
Eric Miller is a man who doesn’t do relationships. Things from his past have made him a believer that relationships don’t work. Evie Bennett is an independent woman who always picks the wrong guy, as proven once again by her cheating ex-boyfriend.
Evie is in a bind. She has a family reunion coming up. If she goes alone, she will have to contend with pity glances and sarcastic remarks from her cousin, who just happens to be engaged to one of Evie’s ex-boyfriends. Her co-workers suggest she check out a new app called the Boyfriend Experience. It’s not for hook-ups, but for when women need a guy to escort them to a special occasion or event. After filling out the questionnaire, the app gives Evie choices. When she sees Eric’s picture, she clicks on the link. After reading his biography, she sends him a notification.
Eric has no clue that his buddy Dylan has added him to the Boyfriend Experience app. When he gets Evie’s notification, he is not happy with Dylan, but is intrigued by Evie’s picture and biography. They agree to meet and the rest is a whirlwind.
When Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde write a story together, it’s magical. Evie and Eric’s story gives you all the feels you love in a romance.

If you’re looking for a fun, flirty, smexy read with a lot of heart, minimal drama and some great characters thrown into the mix, then this one is a must read. I was just going to take a peek at the first chapter or so…yeah, about 2 hrs later and I’m here writing up a review because I couldn’t put it down (I should have because of that #workthing…but) and really wish there were more words to read.
I adored Evie and Eric. Evie is the kind of person you’d want to be friends with. She’s vivacious, compassionate and sassy and has a golden heart that shines through in everything she does Eric has that thing, that…charisma, charm, confidence that just draws you in because you can feel just how genuine it is and combined with an alpha nature that comes out at just the right time…well, the man is simply lethal.
Their journey to their HEA is all kinds of fun. From the moment they meet, the sparks fly and though things happen quickly, they bond they formed felt real. They complimented each other perfectly and they just fit. There is a bit of a bump in the road, it wasn’t an unexpected one, but I have to say that I loved how it all worked out in the end.
I’ve read books by this writing duo before and they did not disappoint with this one. It’s a quick read but it hit all the right emotional buttons for me from start to finish. And as for the supporting cast of characters, I ADORED Evie’s family ~ well, with the exception of two ~ they were all kinds of goodness and really did bring a lot of good times to this baby. So, if you’re looking for a romance that’ll leave you with sore cheeks from smiling so much, as well as them being a little pink from the smexy, then this one is a definite must read for you!

I want more lol I loved this book!!! 🙂
A nice story. I truly expected the worse to happen, but it didn’t, and I was pleasantly surprised. Good dialogue. Heavy with sex and the F word. If you can bypass that, then add it to your reading list.
Laugh out loud funny. Eric and Evie will keep you chuckling until you put it down.
“The Boyfriend Experience” (nook) was an enjoyable book with a twist on the fake boyfriend concept. Eric and Evie immediately hit it off and I loved their journey to a HEA ending. Also, I got a kick out of Evie’s parents.
I was pleasantly surprised by this book because I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it, or if it had a decent storyline or even a well thought out idea. It has all of these things and more. A book that can cause me to laugh, love and cry while feeling good about all that was going on (and there is a lot of wonderful things happening in it) is a book that I will shout about from the rooftops. Now this is an actual super easy read, it just flows, smooth and steady but I did start it in January and just finished it yesterday. The reason? I was reading it on my phone and I don’t do that very often. In actuality it really only took me about a day to read it, and once I was serious about reading on my phone (it is really difficult for me to do this) I couldn’t stop reading it.
Eric Miller is every girl’s dream man. He is understanding, sweet, smart, compassionate and sexy as hell! He is also a business man who is down to earth and treats those deserving with the utmost respect. He is deliciously delectable in every way. The main character Evie Bennett is the awesomely wonderful owner of a beauty salon/spa who understands how important it is for a woman to see how beautiful they are inside and out. She even starts a program called ‘Beautiful You’ where she caters to domestic violence shelters one day a month. Really an exceptional concept and idea. The moments that happen between these two characters are spectacular because you can feel every bit of it, especially when it touches your heart. I actually had to put it down twice to wipe away the tears from my eyes and face and blow my nose just so I could actually see the already too tiny screen.
I love being surprised by a really good book and I have to say that this was an exceptional read for me. One of the best to date actually. If you enjoy a good romance, one where there isn’t supposed to be a romance, this is one that you should invest in.
keep my interest all the way to the end.
Fantantic book. Loved it.
Couldn’t put it down. Wonderful story!
The best kind of sweet. I really enjoyed this cute, sweet, quick read. Evie felt like a friend and Eric is my new book boyfriend.
Two authors are better than one? Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde did a good job of writing a sexy romance novel together. I was hesitant to pick up The Boyfriend Experience at first, thinking it might be too sexy for my taste. The story behind the sexy match-up between Eric and Evie is that they have both sworn off a love life forever. After they hook up over an app that introduces a “boyfriend” for short term needs, they find out what true love means.
I really enjoyed Eric and Evie’s story. I appreciated the depth that each character had and their friendships. I really liked how freely they went after a physical relationship. I definitely need to read more in this series.
Horrible! Could not finish it.
