He’s the total package. Except … Eric Miller isn’t looking for a long term relationship. And he definitely isn’t thrilled when a friend signs him up for The Boyfriend Experience app behind his back. It’s not like he has a problem getting women on his own. But when he gets a notification that someone is in need of his . . . services, he’s intrigued enough to check out her profile and can’t resist … enough to check out her profile and can’t resist the sexy, sassy little brunette who only wants him as a decoy for a family event.
Evie Bennett needs a boyfriend, stat. Someone who can accompany her to her family reunion so she doesn’t have to explain that she’s been recently dumped. Again. She’s perfectly happy being an independent woman, but what’s a girl to do when her new fake boyfriend starts to feel like the real deal?

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review.
Evie Bennett needs a boyfriend and quick. Since her last boyfriend turned out to be a dud, she needs someone to pretend to be her boyfriend for a family weekend. And that is all she is looking for. When her friend suggest an app to find a pretend boyfriend, Evie thinks it sounds like the perfect idea.
Eric Miller isn’t looking for a girlfriend or a long term relationship. He is not that type of guy. When he finds out that his friend has adding him to his “Boyfriend Experience” app, he just wants to be removed. But when he meets Evie to tell her it was a mistake he was on the app, he finds himself drawn to her. She is sexy, sassy and might be a little fun that he needs.
What neither of them expect is how easy they find it to be around each other. And when Eric meets her parents he can’t believe how laid back they are. He ends up having a great time with her and the rest of her family and he wants to spend more time with her.
Can Eric give Evie a relationship that she wants? Will Evie be able to move past Eric if things don’t work out? Will the Boyfriend Experience turn in to something more?
I really enjoyed this story and loved the time Eric and Evie spent with her family, her parents left me laughing until I was crying. This story is funny, sad, heartfelt and in the end will leaving you loving it. I hope you enjoy it too.

Loved this book! It was cute and sweet, romantic and sexy and hilarious! I loved the characters, Evie was just such an amazing, genuine and warm hearted person! They had great chemistry together and it really was just a good old fashion happily ever after story that I really enjoyed!
I LOVED THIS BOOK! This was my first book by these authors, but it will not be my last! I can not wait to get my hands on the next book in this series.
Evie has had her heart broken and since she has decided not to get involved with another guy for the foreseeable future she decided to rent a boyfriend for her upcoming family reunion. However, she doesn’t expect to fall for her fake boyfriend which creates a little trouble.
Eric has prided himself on being a no relationship guy. No strings attached hook ups are all he is in the market for and romance is definitely not his thing. But for some reason, when he meets Evie, he had the strong desire to be whatever it is she needs him to pretend to be for her reunion.
This book was a fun, fast, fabulous read for me. I was hooked from the very first page until the last. The writing was amazing, and the characters were as well. The chemistry between Evie and Eric is off the charts, and their banter back and forth had me laughing more than once.
This story line was one that had me feeling all the feels. This is a must read book for sure!- By Alisa
I so enjoyed this quick easy stand alone read. The story was lighter with heat, snark and heart. Surprisingly, it had a depth that made me tear up, both happy and sad.
Evie recently broke up with her boyfriend when she found out the she was in fact the other woman. Unlucky in love and headed to her families Fourth of July get together she hates that she will have to once again explain why she is single. Her parents aren’t the problem but other family members make it hard for her to just be happy. When a friend tells her about a boyfriend app that is in the Beta testing stage she asks her if she can help her become one of the first testers. Getting approved for the app and looking at the guys who are on it, ready to help a lady out gets Evie excited. She looks through all the candidates trying to find the perfect guy who wouldn’t mind being her fake boyfriend for the weekend. She finds the perfect guy in Eric Miller, not only does he share the name of her ex but his short bio fits perfectly with Evie’s needs. Eric has been pushed into his friends app without his knowledge and when he gets a message from Evie he just wants to tell her no. He decides he should meet her and person and break it to her gently but once he does he just can’t seem to say no. The two chat back and forth and seem to have a real connection so Eric agrees to help Evie out. Follow along as the two flirt around a real relationship even though they both have feelings for the other. Will this fake boyfriend experience stay just that fake or can the two come together and let their true feelings shine through. This was a sweet romance that had you wanting the two to end up together. They both needed the other and you want them to realize that a move forward.
I thought the story was good. I like fake boyfriend stories. The story was easy to read and was paced well. The characters were easy to believe except I thought the “making her feel good about her body” might have gone on a little longer than necessary. You won’t regret getting this book.
The Boyfriend Experience is a great way to spend a few hours having fun without leaving your house.
Although there are some serious and emotional parts in this book, for the most part it is a lighthearted, but extremely sexy read. The banter between the lead characters kept me entertained. The way these characters are written make me believe in love at first sight.
Totally enjoyed this read.
ARC received for honest review.
When Evie needs a date to her family’s Fourth of July weekend, her friend tells her about the new Boyfriend Experience app. Eric is less than thrilled when a notification from the Boyfriend Experience appears on his phone, considering he didn’t even realize the app had been installed on his phone. And he’s even less thrilled when he finds out his friend Dylan was behind the little prank. But somehow he’s convinced to show up to their first meeting, and cannot believe his eyes (and his luck) when Evie turns out to be sweet and gorgeous with curves that take his mind to dangerous places. But, as Eric and Evie get to know each other and forge a connection, the walls Eric has built around himself are in full force, and he deflects any attempts Evie makes at getting him to bare his soul a little. A tragedy in his life has left him convinced he can’t, won’t, ever know love, so he doesn’t even want to attempt anything beyond casual. Will Evie be the woman to thaw his heart and break down his walls?
Surprisingly and beautifully emotional, The Boyfriend Experience checked off all my must-haves for the best romances: layered, lovable hero and heroine with palpable chemistry, moving, engaging story line, and a great secondary cast. Whenever Carly and Erika cowrite their stories, I know I’m in for a treat, and once again (as always) they’ve written a story that will stay with me even now that I’m done reading. I can’t wait for more from them!
Well written, great characters, scorching chemistry, heartbreak, swoon-worthy moments, humor, a bit a drama… this is why I love romance stories. The Boyfriend Experience is sweet, sexy, funny, and so much more.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
“As pretend boyfriend material, the man was good. Really good.”
Evie needs a boyfriend. Immediately. With the holiday approaching, and her family annual vacations tradition, she can not show up single again. Enduring the looks of pity and condescending words is more than she can handle at the moment. The truth is that she has no luck in love, and does not know how to choose her boyfriends well. Not recognizing the warning signs and getting cheated on is her signature.
Unless a boyfriend materializes in front of her, she will have to face this vacation by herself. But a client’s proposal to sign up for her brother-in-law’s app, which is still in the testing phase, could be her lifeline. Who would have thought that hiring a fake boyfriend with just one click was exactly what she needed.
Eric does not have the faintest idea that his friend has signed up him in his app. When he receives a notification of a woman interested in his services, he is surprised. By confronting his friend, he is challenged to face the situation. After all, what harm is there in meeting and helping a beautiful girl?
On their first meeting, the attraction between the two is immediate and Eric decides to accept the proposal. One week. A family reunion. A fake date. And the barrier between lie and truth falling to the ground.
The app that names the book is responsible for bringing this couple together. But it’s the conviviality, the closeness, the real life that will make these two fall in love. The book is not very long, bet on a cliche well known to develop its plot, relies on a couple that works well together and creates funny and cute situations. Both Evie and Eric have reasons to run away from relationships, but falling in love is inevitable. Issues such as grief, loss, betrayal, envy and low self-esteem are also addressed.
If you are looking for something to have fun, spend time and have a good laugh, this experience is for you.

I’m always up for an Erika Wilde & Carly Phillips collaboration. I admit I was a little skeptical about The Boyfriend Experience trope. Then again, I’m at the age where others opinion about my life would elicit a “sod off” rather than an elaborate ruse to hire a fake boyfriend. As usual, after I got into the story, I really enjoyed it.
Evie and Eric are the perfect romcom couple. They’re fun, a smidge sweet, and hella hot together. The secondary cast is so well-developed the characters practically leap off the page.
Overall, this was a fun, enjoyable read that had me cheering for the couple’s HEA. Surprisingly, there were several emotional moments that got me all choked up. I’m curious to see what the authors have in store next.
When Erics best friend sets him up on his new dating app The Boyfriend Experience, without his knowledge, his first instinct is to delete it from his phone. That is until he sees that he;s been requested by a gorgeous girl called Evie and his interest is piqued.
Evie needs a stand in fake boyfriend to attend a family reunion with her and her choice on the dating app not only looks and sounds perfect but also shares the same name of the ex boyfriend that her family think shes still with.
A lovely light hearted story with fun, loveable characters.
These 2 authors bounce off each other and together write great stories.

When it comes to men Evie Bennett is at a loss, she thought she had the man of her dreams, and he wound up being the man of her nightmares. He cheated, broke her heart, and made her the center of everyone’s gossip circle… talk about embarrassing! With her family reunion approaching, she knows that she’ll have a million questions to answer about her break-up. And picturing the pity she’ll see on everyone’s faces leads her to think she might need to take a buffer along with her.
When she mentions this to a friend she suggests Evie try using her brother-in-laws dating app, The Boyfriend Experience. While she has her reservations about using a app to find a man, she also realizes that as of late her inner man picker has failed her miserably, so she gives it a try… and winds up getting far more than she ever bargained for!
From the very first page The Boyfriend Experience had me intrigued, and with every page that followed the more captivated I became, Evie and Eric were quite the storytellers! Their little love connection brought smiles, swoons, and tugged on the heartstrings. It was fun watching these two maneuver through the tricky situation that they got themselves tangled up in. What started as a little ruse quickly became something else entirely, the more time they spent together the more heated things became, and before long feelings started to bloom and take hold. I loved every minute of this one, it was good on my heart and left me with an unshakable smile. Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
The fake boyfriend/girlfriend/fiancé/whatever lol has always been a favorite of mine because … laughter, always laughter! This book intrigued me not just because of the trope, but because of the unique app concept in the story-line. And it delivered!
The story of Evie and Eric was fun, flirty, heartwarming and sexy! The secondary characters enhanced the story-line and will make you want to look for their stories in the future. It’s a rather quick read with a kinda predictable conflict but the #win of it all lies in Evie and Eric just being complimentary to each other from the very beginning.
When Evie needs a date for an upcoming family reunion, she’s referred to a Beta project “The Boyfriend Experience” and meets Eric. He’s been set up by the app’s designer and one of his best friends without his knowing it and when he receives an invite from Evie, he decides he has to meet with her since his three best friends dared him. Evie doesn’t want to explain that once again her choice of men has screwed her over so she decides that Eric is the perfect person to help her. Neither are looking for that HEA as she’s sure she can’t pick them and he’s usually in it for the casual sex. Little do either of them realize that this app may just be the best thing that’s happened to either of them. This is a whirlwind of romance and these two authors know how to deliver. I highly recommend this one.
The boyfriend experience was a really fun way to spend my evening. Eric and Evie burned up the pages and had me laughing from time to time with their humor. Eric’s friends trick him into being involved in an online dating app then dare him to go through with it and what guy can turn that down, but when he meets Evie all bets and his good intentions go out the window.
Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde are a couple of my favorite authors and together they bring this story to life with interesting characters and an all around fun story.
Eric gets snookered into playing a fake boyfriend role by one of his best pals. The app his friend created is still in progress and he might as well go along with it. Then he meets her and it all changes.
Evie is impressed with Eric before she even meets him in person. Once they see one another eye-to-eye, it is immediate attraction on both sides. Can she keep her heart intact when yet another male has a secret that was kept from her?
The heat sears and steps it up right from the beginning in this latest collab by some of the best authors in the industry! Heart pumping and sexy to read, this story has sparks a flyin, while humor is laced throughout. Great start to what is looking to soon be another excellent series.

When Evie needs a date for the weekend for a family reunion she decides to try a new app. She gets a few matches but really feels connected to Eric. Eric’s friend created the app and uploaded a profile without Eric’s knowledge. His friends date him to follow through and go on a date with Evie.
Super sweet and fun romance. Both of the characters had their hangups and I enjoyed seeing them work their way through. Sexy with a lot of chemistry. Great writing as always from Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde. An enjoyable read.
I love Evie and Eric. They are both such sweet people in this story.
Evie is a sweet, heart of gold, part salon owner/hairdresser that spends 1 day each month making over women from domestic abuse shelters called the Beautiful You Program. She is also going to be the holder of a Humanitarian Award for such program.
Unfortunately, Evie is also a woman of a recent breakup. Eric, her now ex-boyfriend was a cheating horrible boyfriend that along with Evie as his girlfriend, also had a fiancé.
Evie has a family reunion coming up and wished that she didn’t have to face everyone with another breakup under her belt. Falling her friends suggestion she decided to use the new Boyfriend Experience app. With the app she can hire someone to play her boyfriend so she doesn’t have to face her family alone.
Eric, no relation to the ex-boyfriend Eric, is a sexy single man as well as a twin brother to his late sister. Trisha, Eric’s twin passed away when she was only 16 years old and since then Eric has sworn off relationships as to not to hurt a woman if he passes away as well.
Eric’s friend Dylan who made the Boyfriend Experience app decided to mess with Eric and downloaded his app on Eric’s phone without his knowledge. While sitting with his friends Eric’s phone dings with a notification from the Boyfriend Experience app letting him know that someone was interested in hiring him. Dylan takes it upon himself to answer the notification for Eric and set up a meeting with the woman, who happens to be Evie.
Eric decided to go through with meeting Evie with every intention of not excepting the job, but once Eric see’s Evie for the first time, all bets are off.
You gotta read to get the whole story and all the naked truths. This was a fantastic read. I really enjoyed it. Sad to see it end but looking forward to more.

This was so fun, and sweet, and sexy. I really loved it. 4.5 Stars.
Evie Bennett, was cheated on, and broke up with her boyfriend. Again. Why does this keep happening to her? How can she have the worst taste in men ever?? And now, to avoid going to a family reunion single, yet again, she might be making another mistake, by hiring a fake boyfriend from a new app called the Boyfriend Experience. Evie is a hairdresser, and co-owner of her own salon. One of her clients offered up the idea to use the app, and she decided, why not? No feelings involved and she’ll get everything she needs out of the interaction. Sign her up.
Eric Miller has no interest in a serious relationship, given his family history. He sometimes pursues women when the mood strikes him, but they all know the score ahead of time. He’s not ever going to settle down. It wouldn’t be fair, and no one can convince him otherwise. When his good friend, and creator of the app the Boyfriend Experience, signs him up for the beta testing against his wishes, and sets up a meeting for him with a potential client, he can’t stomach the idea of cancelling on the woman. But, he never expects meeting Evie, or the changes she’ll bring about in his life.
Evie and Eric had magical chemistry from the start, and watching their sexy banter was super fun. I loved their witty and fun back-and-forth, and the way they settled into each other’s thoughts, and lives, so easily. A chance meeting, through an app that hasn’t even fully launched yet, and insane chemistry in real life? What are the chances that ever happens again? They had to take it for everything they could. Even if it hurt in the end.
Evie’s family was an absolute, crazy delight. Her brother and his boyfriend were hysterical, and her sex positive parents were embarrassingly hilarious too. I loved getting to know them. And boy was her cousin a piece of work! What a terrible, selfish person! Eric’s friends were fun, and entertaining as well. Eric’s mom on the other hand was so somber, and I really hurt for her situation, while simultaneously blaming her for everything that was going wrong in Eric’s life, and the way she had retreated from him. His story was truly heartbreaking, and it brought me to tears more than once.
I loved how Evie and Eric truly fit into each other’s lives so perfectly. They really came to understand each other and love the other person deeply. They loved each others’ flaws and imperfections as much as they did they great things about each other, and it was magical watching them explore that fragile, new connection. Pretty much my only complaint was that I really wanted to know how they handled telling her awesome parents the truth after everything. I think this should’ve been touched on later, and I would’ve loved to see it. But, this book made me laugh, and cry, and sigh, and swoon, and I loved it. I highly recommend it.
