From New York Times Bestseller Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes the STEAMY Part Two and conclusion of The Boyfriend Collector. My name is Dr. Bex Hughes, and I’m in love with a woman who cannot truly love me back. Unless I help her as my patient, and that is forbidden—a taboo in the eyes of the world and the worst professional sin for a therapist. But what else can I do? Rose was once a real-life … I do? Rose was once a real-life Cinderella. Now she’s wealthy, single, and free. Except she’s convinced that love is used to hurt people, family tries to murder you for money, and no one can be trusted. It’s all she’s ever known.
So I’m bending every rule I’ve ever lived by and helping her find her way to real happiness. Only, my self-control wears thin as I hear the details of Rose’s dating adventures. Can I prove I will love her unconditionally before my jealousy shatters her trust in me forever?

I really liked this modern “Cinderella” story, although I think she could use a little work in the steamy Dept, especially where virgins are concerned!! This was unpredictable, and rarely boring! I read both and another of hers and will happily pick up a few more here and there!!
Rose is almost 21 her birthday here and she’s still gotta comply with her mother’s will or else she loses everything. Bex wants Rose with everything in him but wants her to grow and find her independence. Even if it means letting her go.
Mimi created such interesting and mesmerizing world for Rose and Bex. Like all her works of art. Read it and u won’t be disappointed
The perfect conclusion to Rose’s journey!
New from Mimi Jean Pamfiloff – one of my go-to authors – Part 2 in The Boyfriend Collector duet!
This story picks up right where Part 1 left off. Note that Part 1 does NOT end in a cliffhanger, but you don’t get the full story. This duet is an updated retelling of the classic Cinderella story – with an extra-twisty path, of course. I LOVE that in this book we get so much more of BEX, our hero. Book 1 focused heavily on our modern Cinderella, Rose – which was perfect, don’t get me wrong – but I loved seeing things from Bex’s viewpoint and even getting some flashbacks to Book 1 showing his perspective.
This is a very easy read told in the first person; the story is emotional and unexpected. Nothing is obvious; you’re not predicting the details pages ahead as you read! Our characters grow so much – individually and as a couple, and my favorite thing is how very REAL they both are. They’ve experienced life in different ways, making their development interesting, flawed and wonderful; you’re rooting for them every step of the way. It’s incredibly easy to like Rose – she’s had her entire life turned upside down, but she’s a fighter determined to find happiness (and some justice wouldn’t hurt either!). Bex thought he was doing “the right thing” by letting Rose spread her wings, but he FINALLY comes to his senses – and gets it through his head that what’s right for her is not his choice to make! Seen through the eyes of our stubborn but big-hearted characters, their tale’s clever plot twists are great fun as Rose and Bex figure out how to achieve their Happily Ever After.
Such a fantastic conclusion to the story. Rose and Ben are awesome and I loved how Been didn’t want to give up on Rose even though it was a conflict of interest. Rose’s dating adventures were awesome and poor Ben….
Definitely read book 1 and then finish it up with this one!
Love! Rose’s journey is a twisted one. She wants Bex. Bex wants her. But he wants her to experience all she has missed. And the bad guys have not been neutralized yet either. Boy, what a family! She discovers herself. And Bex gets out of his own way. Passion, humor, drama…all the good stuff! Love, love, loved it!! I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I enjoyed this more than the first book, it’s difficult to pinpoint how or why but I was just drawn into the story a lot more. Bex and Rose both really grew as characters and were a big part of what engaged me in the plot.
There was also much more movement in the story, though I did get irritated at one point by Bex’s constant refusal to just tell Rose he loved her. I almost gave up on the story, but powered through and was soon caught up in it again. So, so much happens in the last 25%, some of it off the page. Personally I would have preferred some of the earlier repetitive themes to be trimmed back and this last part to have been expanded on more. However this was still a really good conclusion to the duet.
This story starts right where part 1stopped and it’s great because this is not just a steamy book it actually has a more deep story behind it and it’s what makes it a good romance in my eyes.
Rose is determined to follow her dreams to be free but not really sure of how to do that when Bex just can’t deny his feelings anymore….he is determined to help her without making her feel like she has obligations towards him so he decides to keep his feelings secret….even if it means listening to Rose’s experiences with other men….
They both need to learn to trust each other but themselves first which isn’t easy as danger is still lurking around and even bigger than before…. some unexpected allies, some twisted villains added to their insecurities….and fantasies.
This story has steamy descriptions but a real background story as well; we follow both Bex and Rose point of view, as well as another, on the events and investigation trying to keep Rose safe so it’s really an interesting story of which you will want to discover the conclusion.
I liked this book better than book one. Nothing about it was obvious…nothing cliche. And I didn’t see any of the events coming.
Maybe I liked this book better because Rose was so much stronger. She was evolving since book one, where the only world she knew was a lie. She makes some insightful conclusions that I loved.
“I assumed he was stronger, wiser, and more prepared to handle relationships than me. I never considered that maybe he does want me and that he’s the one who needs the damned therapy.”
“Some women say they want equality, but really, what they want is power over others, especially men. But I think equal means something else. It means equal stakes in a relationship, equal vulnerability, and very unequal roles when it comes down to things like intimacy.”
“Women have different needs. Sure, we lust like men, but we are not men. We can’t so easily separate our emotions from sex. We crave a deeper connection, but most of all, we require respect. And not just for ourselves but for him, too. In other words, women don’t often sleep with a person they look down on. Men—many, not all—have no problem fucking a hot chick who they think is dumb or trashy. She’s got big tits and a smokin’ bod, they’re game. I think for women, though, we can look at a sexy man with ripped abs and bulging biceps and appreciate his beauty, but if he came up to us in a bar and said, “Hey, babe. Wanna bang one out? My mom’s out of town, and I can buy a twelver if you got money.” Well, let’s just say not many of us would take up that offer, no matter how hot the abs. Sure, I think it happens, but once a man loses a woman’s respect, she’s not likely to go anywhere with him. For me, equality doesn’t mean identical traits, abilities, or even tastes and needs. Equality in a relationship means each person brings something different and of value to the table. ”
Bex is just as messed up as Rose, and she hates his presumed hero complex. In reality these two just love each other and can’t deal. Our pasts tend to try to define our futures, however happy or dysfunctional they may be. You may say to yourself, how can all these men fall for Rose so fast? But Pamfiloff addresses this, with more insight from Rose.
“Gustavo didn’t know me. Markus and Chad and all the other guys I’ve gone out with didn’t know me. They just have this idea in their heads of who I am. ”
There are some wonderful surprises in this book, and Rose is a gem of a character. She has a wonderfully realistic journey to knowing who she is and what she wants. And Bex is a wonderful hero. I loved how Pamfiloff integrated Waylon and his role. This was such a fun and sexy series to read.
A strong-willed Cinderella determined to save herself. Her therapist that is falling in love with her. And a deadline to find and marry Mr Right or she loses everything.
Loved this highly entertaining, witty, fun, exciting and action packed journey filled with so many heart pounding moments. This adventure begins right where book one left off and gives us all the same thrilling emotional highs and lows with a very intriguing and satisfying ending.
This is the STEAMY Part Two conclusion of The Boyfriend Collector. The Boyfriend Collector 2 picks up right where book 1 ends.
Dr. Bex Hughes, has been seeing Rose as a patient. How can he tell her not to date other men as he is interested in her?
Rose was once a real-life Cinderella. Now she’s wealthy, single, and free. Except she’s convinced that love is used to hurt people, family tries to murder you for money, and no one can be trusted. It’s all she’s ever known.
If Bex truly loves her, he has to give her the freedom to experience life. But he also has to convince her to marry him in name only so she can keep her inheritance. Is he strong enough to save her and then let her go? Rose has to decide whether to marry for love, for convenience, or to fight for her inheritance as an unmarried woman.
I did receive a free ARC Copy of this book from the author. I am freely leaving an honest review.
Well I definitely preferred this to the first instalment but then again there’s a lot more Bex in this one ! With this conclusion the author categorically makes it clear that this isn’t reverse harem which wasn’t particularly obvious before frankly because of the title and then the original artwork was somewhat confusing to some readers.
This is definitely a romance between two stubborn people with communication problems that had me sat here wanting to bang their heads together ! Rose I have to say frequently misleads Bex and well if I’m blunt he doesn’t exactly do himself any favours. However there’s enough twists going on to further muddy the waters with as before crazy things going on but I never doubted Bex loved Rose and happily he got to finally show her and boy does he !
This voluntary take is of an advanced copy and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair
This book picks up after the events of book one and with each page I read the less sure I was about Bex and Rose’s future. That being said, this book was definitely worth going through all the uncertainty for. I’m excited to see what’s next from Mimi.
One of the things I’ve learned about a Mimi Jean Pamfiloff’s book is to expect the unexpected. Just about the time you think you can predict what’s going to happen you get thrown a curveball. There’s something about Rose that seems to make a man, even the nefarious ones, fall for her. Every man except the one she really wants. Bex and Rose keep circling each other through a boatload of twists and turns until they’re both on the same page and finally ready for their HEA.
Quick – catch on book #1 before you dive in here!
Part Two catches up right where we left off. Rose had just spilled her heart to Bex and was rejected. Bex stubbornly holds on to the belief that it wouldn’t be in her best interest.
What he instead proposes is a marriage of convenience – a way to get her inheritance while also keeping her safe (or at least, that’s how it will work in his mind).
What ensues is Rose growing as a person and becoming more secure in herself and in the power of love in general. Filled with interesting side characters, Rose and Bex shine as leads. Rose is strong, yet vulnerable and Bex is protective, yet sacrificing.
Full of suspense, action, and humor, The Boyfriend Collector Part Two was a fantastic ending to the duet.
One hot read!
A super hot conclusion to the first part of The Boyfriend Collector duet. This book contains all the sizzle, snarky remarks, and all around good writing that you expect in a Mimi Jean Pamfiloff book. Don’t miss this fun, fast read; but if you haven’t read the Boyfriend Collector yet, you must read it first.
I loved this conclusion to The Boyfriend Collector Duet. Fabulous writing with all the feels and a story you hope will have the HEA you want, but have no idea how and even if the characters will get there! Mimi is one of the queens of the unexpected twist!
This book continues where the first left off. Bex loves Rose but has set her free to find her path and learn to love herself, but Rose is heartbroken at his rejection. She continues to date various men in the quest to lose her virginity and move on with living her life. Things aren’t that simple though with threats against her life and the risk of losing her rightful inheritance still hanging over her head. Will she ever be free? Will Bex be her Knight in shining armour or is his hero complex just going to make things worse? Will Waylan the thief steal her heart amidst the secrets Bex and Rose are hiding?
I love Mimi’s writing, it’s so easy to lose track of time when you get immersed. It’s full of twists, turns, frustration, danger, suspense, humour and good old romance. It kept me turning the pages, eager to find out which way this would end. Rose was just fabulous, she’s been through hell but I think ended up the most clear headed! A host of men are after her beautiful, brave, pure heart, but who deserves it? Will Rose get her fairytale ending or will she forever be The Boyfriend Collector? You’ll have to read to find out
5 awesome stars
The Boyfriend Collector continues right where it left off. Yes, I would recommend reading the first book first. While this isn’t my favorite of Mimi’s books it’s still really good and it’s so refreshing to have a character like Bex. The emotions and the feels are all there, Mimi’s usual twisted humor as well. I think Waylon deserves his own spinoff. It was a good read an excellent conclusion to the story.
RATING 4.5 STARS
The Boyfriend Collector Two is the final book in this duet by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. If you thought the first book was full of surprises, wait until you read the finale.
Rose Marie Hale lived her first twenty one years as a real life Cinderella. She was almost entirely isolated from the world, home schooled, forced to work hard around the house, lied to and given no love at all. But Rose found out that her grand parents were lying about her inheritance and took matters into her own hands. This book starts the night before her twenty-first birthday. Her entire life hangs in the balance, the money, her future, everything.
“I don’t merely need to become the hero of my own story. I need another story.”
Bex Hughes knows he’s in love with Rose. But he’s also her therapist. She might think she’s in love with him, but she has had no life experience. If Bex truly loves her, he has to give her the freedom to experience life. But he also has to convince her to marry him in name only so she can keep her inheritance. Is he strong enough to save her and then let her go?
These two are in for quite a wild ride in this book. They do love each other. But neither of them are honest with the other for different reasons. Although Bex truly does love Rose, he is so busy trying to do what’s best for her he doesn’t see what’s right in front of him. That she really does love him as well. While these two are trying to figure things out, sinister plans are in place. Where there is money, there is greed. And someone else wants that money and will do whatever it takes to get it.
I can’t help but to love Rose. She has lived her entire life exposed to nothing but hatred and abuse. She’s been stolen from and lied to. But through it all, she never lost herself. She still manages to shine a light wherever she goes. Men just seem to fall in love with her. A lot of mistakes were made but she figured things out. She knew what she had to do.
In true Mimi Jean fashion, this book is filled with all kinds of twists and turns. I couldn’t stop reading, had to know what happened next. I read it in one day. This is a story of a woman trying to find love in a very unconventional way. But she wants a happy ending to her fairy tale. Will she find it? Or will she forever be The Boyfriend Collector?

My Review:
Other than a few sparkling glimmers of clever smirk-worthy levity and a handful steamy sensual scenes which were mostly daydreams, this was a rather exasperating read full of annoying characters who spent most of their time in conflict while ludicrously doing and saying the exact opposite of what they wanted or were thinking. I have previously enjoyed several of Ms. Pamfiloff’s cleverly written romantic comedies, but this was a huge miss for me. At least it was mercifully quick and short and well, just ridiculous. I have learned a valuable lesson – I need to stick to her witty rom-coms.
