When I started reading I couldn’t put it down. Mimi Jean Pamfiloff is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can’t wait for the next book.
This is the second and final installment of The Boyfriend Collector, and Mimi gives us a conclusion full of angst, and all the feels. A roller coaster so full of emotions that I didn’t know which ones I wanted to feel. As always she doesn’t disappoint and keeps us on our toes till the last page. Rose has lived the life of a real Cinderella from the way her grandparents treated her and Bex tries to be her Prince. Will they get their happily ever after? Does she give her virginity up to one of her many dates? Will Bex finally give in and admit to his true feelings? This is a definite must read!
A wonderful ending to Rose’s story.
Rose is free from the torment she has endured all her life. Or is she? She is finally enjoying life, taking adventures, and trying to find love. But not without a few, huge bumps along the way. In true Mimi style, you will be taken for one heck of book ride. The plot twists will keep you on your toes and wanting more. I did not want to put this book down. I could not read fast enough. Questions answered. Satisfying ending. Highly recommend. But don’t forget to read The Boyfriend Collector book one first.
Rose, the Peachtree Cinderella, and Bex, her therapist continue to play big parts in each other’s lives in this second and final installment of The Boyfriend Collector duet. As Rose was manipulated and deprived of love by her money grubbing family, she has trust issues and add in that she was spurned by Bex, she is wary of his intentions. Bex, what can I say about this kindhearted and sexy therapist? He is selfless in that while he so badly wants to declare is his love for Rose and have her for himself, he just wants her to be happy and free. Of course, he is a bit misguided and we witness the two of them dancing around each other. Written from a dual POV, it was entertaining to get a peak into each of their thought processes as well as see their interactions with each other. The secondary characters, especially all of the misc boyfriends were fun. This book is full of action, humor, and a mess of tangled emotions. True to this author’s previous works her this story is creative and the characters are endearing. You will find yourself laughing at some parts, swooning in others, and wondering just where this author comes up with some of these scenes!
Flawed and Fabulous, you gotta love Rose and Bex!
Say what you mean and mean what you say. Easier said than done when it comes to Rose Marie Hale and Bexley Hughes.
Rose is finally free from her conniving evil family but, she still has to meet the conditions of her mothers will or risk losing everything to the people currently in jail for her attempted murder. Broken hearted by rejection from the man she loves, and with little hope of finding a husband by her birthday anyway she takes her cue from her mother’s last book and decides to never love but instead become the “Boyfriend Collector”. Now if only she could stop thinking about Bex.
Bexley Hughes has a hero complex. The quintessential knight in shining armor he just wants to do what he thinks is best for Rose, even if he has to hurt her to do it. Bex may be in love with Rose but he wont tell her that, not until she has had time to heal and figure out what she truly wants in life. He’s not going to take advantage of her while she’s in a fragile emotional state.
As the two trip along trying to figure out how to navigate their own feelings they are fraught with misunderstandings, miscommunication, and just general missed opportunities. Bex and Rose inspire you to be frustrated on their behalves as you furiously read trying to find out will they get their happily ever after.
Though each have their own flaws, Bexley and Rose are relatable and innately human. It’s hard not to think to yourself, yeah I’ve made that kind of mistake myself. You can’t help but root for them both as they try to find themselves and each other. If they would both just be honest with each other, but then we wouldn’t have this great story. In true Mimi Jean fashion there are plenty of twists that you will never see coming. A gifted storyteller Mimi Jean gives us a fitting conclusion to the story of Rose Marie Hale and Bexley Hughes in The Boyfriend Collector Two.
This book picks up where the last one left off. Now I can’t decide which one I loved more. What an emotional roller coaster and so well written with a hea.
The story of Peach Tree Cinderella, Rose Marie Hale concludes with this second story and Mimi wraps things up perfectly. She kept me at the edge of my seat as I followed Rose, Bex, Waylon, Chad and all of the cast of characters as Rose tries to find herself and tests her newfound freedom as worries about her twenty first birthday loom over her, shadowing the happiness she’s found. Can Rose find the right man, the one she can trust with everything in the short time she has to fulfill the terms of her mother’s will?
The Boyfriend Collector 2 picks up right where book 1 ends. Rose has to decide whether to marry for love, for convenience, or to fight for her inheritance as an unmarried woman. With Bex turning her down, she is free and open to explore her Boyfriend Collection. Marcus, Waylon, Jor, and Chad all come out to play but can she let any of them in or is Bex still her endgame? Free for the first time in her life but faced with complex choices and danger around every corner, Rose’s journey is a non-stop adventure. Rose continues her efforts to find herself and her place in the world while keeping her mom’s wishes in mind. Will Rose collect that inheritance? Is Gustavo really out of the picture? Will her grandparents pay for their evil ways? Speaking of evil, did any other Mimi fans hope to see a red head pop somewhere in the book? Will we ever get to read Fanged Love? Sorry…I have been riding Mimi’s Wonkamobile. I know that there is no predicting what madness may lurk around the corner and there is no point in trying to answer any of the questions you have about the story because you won’t figure it out until Mimi is darn good and ready to reveal her plot twists. She is the Willy Wonka of romance so buckle up and enjoy the psychedelic ride that is sometimes funny, sometimes sweet, sometimes scary, and sometimes scandalously steamy but always wildly entertaining.
The Boyfriend Collector 2 is fast paced without being rushed. The suspense, angst, and steam levels are perfect for the story and all of these elements in their proper proportions make the book easy to read and nearly impossible to put down.
Wow! Mimi really stretched her writer wings with this one. I really liked that recaps were minimal because it allowed the reader stay immersed in a forward moving story and what a story it was. I loved that this story was more steamy and graphic than some or most of Mimi’s other works. I absolutely love that like every other Mimi book/series, the world-building is rich and the characters’ voices are distinct. Too often, I find that authors start rewriting the same characters and stories. Sure the names, physical appearance, and occupation might change but I can’t always distinguish one character over another when presented with dialogues from various books. That is never the case with Mimi. Each character is unique. Each story is unique. Each world for each series is a world unto itself and she builds the best worlds.
Oh my! Will Rose ever make up her mind, is she ever going to clear the air and make her true feelings known and lose her v-card and to who?. And Bex, is he ever going to put his foot down and tell Rose how he feels. They’re both driving me crazy. The further the story unfolds, I’m getting more and more uncomfortable about the ending, I want them to be happy ever after but there’s so many variables that could change things, it’s anyone’s guess.
I’m enjoying these great books, I highly recommend them! A definite must read!
This book picks up where book one left off. Rose finds herself in need of marrying one of a list of men who are considered highly eligible in order to save her inheritance from her horrible family. She is seeing a therapist, Dr. Bex Hughes, to try to deal with all that she has been through. She has already declared her feelings for him and been turned down so she decides that she will continue dating different men to try to find Mr. Right. Somehow, she always ends up right back at Bex. Does he love her, does he just want to rescue her, does even he know how he feels. Rose finds some very interesting characters to date while her grandparents and the man who tried to kill her in book one wait in jail. When Bex finds out that her grandparents are being released and that Rose is probably in danger again, he comes up with a plan. Will the plan work to keep Rose safe? Will the plan end Rose’s boyfriend collecting? Will Rose find the love she deserves? Follow the twists and turns of this page turner and find out for yourself!
In the conclusion of The Boyfriend Collector, I was pleasantly surprised to find even more twists and turns. Mimi Jean Pamfiloff is just incapable of writing a boring story. The only problem with this story is I wish it was longer! Rose has finally come upon her 21st birthday. She now needs to decide whether or not to marry and who to marry. With four viable options, it’s a hard decision to make. I enjoyed watching Rose grow even more in this book. There were times I wanted to strangle her and times that I wanted to yell, “you go girl!” I enjoyed the more in-depth character developments in her suitors. It made it hard to choose who to root for. Again, I whipped through this book in one night. My children could not drag my attention away, no matter how hard they tried! I love Ms. Pamfiloff’s creativity and have yet to find a book I don’t love. The Boyfriend Collector goes into one of my top favorites by her.
I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Roller coaster of emotion, The Boyfriend Collector Two picks up right where the first book left off. This book keeps you going from page one until the end. Don’t worry, I’m not going to give you anything. You’ll have to read to find out how it ends. Will Bex finally pull his head out of his bum? Will Rose find everything she has always wanted? If you’re looking for a book with suspense, I highly recommend The Boyfriend Collector One and Two. You won’t be disappointed!
This is the second book in the contemporary romance series “The Boyfriend Collector.” There’s a lot of action, like roller coaster action. It’s hard to read when you’re rocking back and worth because I was anxious about if anyone was going to have their ‘happily ever after.’ Never fear, I won’t tell. You’ll have to read the book.
This book is a great read for those who want some book action (and I’m not talking about car chases here). Enjoy!
Omg! When I started this, I literally had no idea how it would end. Will Bex get his head out of his butt and tell Rose how he really feels? Will she finally lose her v-card? And to who? How will she get her inheritance if she only has one day to get married?
The more everything unfolds, the less sure I am about a happy ending for Bex and Rose. Mimi Jean Pamfiloff sure knows how to keep you guessing!! There are so many twists, you’ll be questioning your sanity at every turn!!
5 stars!!!
