What in the world did I do deserve this?
The boy next door doesn’t let me sleep.
And not just because he’s loud…
Jayson is a rockstar.
He’s as skilled as he is hot.
I never thought I’d be attracted to an alpha jerk like him.
But Jayson is all I ever think about.
I mean, what choice do I have, really?
We’re next door neighbors for goodness sake.
He’s always on my mind (and in my ears).
And … ears).
And now…
I’m carrying a piece of him.
I’m carrying his baby.
No, he can’t find out.
And no, I’m not saying a word about it to him.
Jayson and I are poles apart.
Our lives couldn’t be more different.
He should be on the road, leaving me behind.
Leaving my secret behind.
And me?
I should start preparing to mend my heart.
To raise a baby that will forever remind me of him.

Months later when they are playing by where she lives. Another band member finds out and tries to force her to tell the one who got her that way. Can they come together for the baby’s sake? The characters are neighbors who are totally different. Leah is an accountant working regular hours. Jayson is a musician in a band who doesn’t keep regular hours. This has hot chemistry, drama, misunderstanding and so much more. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
The storyline was well written and the characters were so well defined that I was totally engaged throughout the entire book!
Jayson is the drummer in a band in L.A. that is about to make it big and Leah is an accountant who only recently moved to the area from Illinois. He likes to practice late at night which does not go over well with small-town girl Leah who resides in one side of the duplex they both live in. She has finally had enough of the loud noise so late at night and confronts him about it. They get to know each other, in every way and just as Jayson and his band sign a big contract and are scheduled to go out on tour with another already well-established band, Leah up and vanishes. The reason why is discovered by one of the members of the band when they happen to be performing near her home town and she is seen in the crowd.
It is at this point that the dislike I had formed for Leah and her decision reestablished itself. I have never been a fan of storylines that have the h keeping the knowledge of an unplanned pregnancy from the H and it is really bad if the h has no intention of ever letting the H know that he is a father! To me, that is just Wrong! Wrong!! Wrong!!! I don’t understand why authors nowadays feel that such an action is acceptable. It was for that reason alone that I felt that I just could not give this book a much higher rating as I have done for all of the other books I have read by Ms.Black.

Fun, fast, steamy read by one of my favorite’s Natasha L. Black. Jayson and Leah are neighbors with very different lifestyles. He’s a big city musician part of a band, looking for success and fame. She’s a midwestern girl working 9-5 as an accountant. The conflict begins with his loud music and her trying to sleep. Conflict leads to sparks, chemistry and a relationship starts. Misunderstanding occurs, but Jayson is a determined guy. Well paced, interesting characters, solid read.
I received an ARC an this is my honest review.
I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book and I absolutely loved it.
It is a wonderful well-written romance, the enemies to lovers storyline was believable and the chemistry between Jayson and Leah was sizzling. You could feel the emotion come off the pages. There is loads of drama and emotion, heartache and love in this book. I loved it.
The Boy Next Door is a romantic story of two unlikely souls who find love in right next door to each other. One trying to make it in the music business and other new arrival in LA for a dream job. The storyline was so interesting that it completely captivated me and was so intriguing that I couldn’t stop reading it until I finished with the very last word. I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for an amazing book. Enjoy happy reading

A lot of rambling to this story, I thought it was ok.
The Boy Next Door by Natasha Black was a heart-melting, scintillating story of Leah and Jayson. Jayson is the drummer for an up-and-coming band who plays his drums at his duplex whenever he wishes. Leah is his new neighbor….who isn’t so thrilled about the noise. She confronts him one night and the meeting is magic!!! They have nothing in common and she realizes nothing can come of it. But, the draw remains. Can they get over the issues with the band and the doubts each have about a potential relationship?
I absolutely LOVED this touching, tender, sizzling read!!! You could just feel the angst of these characters and the emotional dilemmas they dealt with…as well as the problems surrounding their professional lives. What a fantastic story!!!!!

I enjoyed this book. The characters were well thought and the story line allowed additional character development. I liked that the story line was focused on the characters but it tended to get wordy and over explanatory at times.
ONE INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!
Ah hell! Natasha just blasted through, bowling me over with this arresting approach, ratcheting up the heat and thrill, leaving no stone unturned, fusing this little gem together sleek shiny and tight. Natasha lays it out skillfully, presenting one delicious wild ride with whipped cream and a cherry on top. A swirling vortex chocked-full of surprising circumstances and stunning mishaps, thrust those churning emotions into play, keeping you riveted and frozen to your seat. Twined, combined and interwoven, exposing the heart pounding ups and gut wretching downs, grounding in it’s strength and awe inspiring in it’s depth. The attraction and chemistry is intense, alluring and mesmerizing, binding them to one another perfectly. You feel everything the characters feel, you become a part of the story instead of on the sidelines. The characters are complex and authentic with depth and traits that blend and flow, transforming into genuine charismatic personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions creating a colorful backdrop that makes the storyline pop. Amazing job Natasha, thanks for sharing this little treasure with us.
Natasha L Black is a great storyteller. THE BOY NEXT DOOR adds to her flawless body of work. Ms. Black can weave a story like nobody’s business!
The storyline is engaging and kept me engrossed from page one to the end of the book. For me, the best part is how well I can relate or ‘feel’ for the characters. The characters in the book are well thought out and given everything they needed to make the story come to life on the pages.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
A amazing love story about Jayson and Leah.
Jayson is on his way to being a great music career and Leah has a great job , one she has always wanted.
Leah finds out she is pregnant but doesn’t tell Jayson and now he is back.
Can they make things work this time?
I really enjoyed this book, I like it how they love each other so much and how accepting he was of everything when he finds it all out.
Great plot and characters
